OFFICIAL October 2009 thread - LET US KNOW YOUR PTR LINK!

Hey DISers,

Just started my very first PTR........Link is in my signature. I'm getting really, really excited:banana:

I'll check in on everybody's PTR tomorrow afternoon when I have more time. I need to resurrect my own!:surfweb:

Awe, all those pretty princess dresses made me a bit sad and jealous. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my two boys to death but deep down inside I also wish I had a little girl to take to Disney too :sad1:. Well, I suppose I could have a grand daughter some day...some FAR FAR away day!! :rotfl:

30 more days!!

Lacy1101: Phew...glad your dining is OK. My vouchers definitely list the dining feature.

:guilty: Sigh. My DD is beyond the Princess stage (almost 12yo), altho she was Cinderella, Esmerelda, and Elizabeth Swann in the past - she is going to MNSSHP as a camp rock'er this year - :confused3

At least it looks wearable for most of the day, if needed. She has those shiny Mickey flip flops to wear also, from the Disney Store.

Enjoy your Princesses and Princes! :goodvibes

Could I please be added to the list? Staying at ASports 10/2-10/12 just me and DS turning 15 while we are there.

thanks,
Ang

Just joining back in to say: I'm starting to freak out a bit! Judging by how fast the summer flew by, our trip will be here before we know it! I think we're at 42 days as of today! Some of those things on my "to buy" list need to get crossed off the list! aghhhhh! :scared1:

same here! it's been such a busy summer I haven't gotten anything ready for my trip yet! I need to start putting together a packing list and a "stuff I need to buy" list. I've got less than two months to go!

You know what happened? When I opened my envelope and pulled the booklet out and opened it up for the first time, I guess the first page with all of the dining, ticket, resort, etc. information was stuck to the cover of the booklet, so the first page I saw was actually the second page. I got it out and looked at it again last night and found the first page. All is well!:thumbsup2

I haven't purchased anything on my list yet either, so don't fret you're not alone! I keep telling myself another week or two and before i know it it'll be a few days before and i'll be running around like crazy lol it happens every time without fail. I guess part of me doesn't like to get everything ready too early otherwise im fidgety and don't know what to do with myself as it gets closer to the trip!

See and I am the opposite.....I have to (HAVE TO!!! It's more like a primal need.) buy & organize from the get-go or I go nuts. Even more so than I already am. LOL:banana:

We leave in THREE weeks! I can't wait! I have bought new clothes for the girls ~ but that is about it. I am planning on making a Target trip the day we get in to pick up all the stuff I don't want to bother traveling with. Since we have to pay for bags on the flights now ~ I am trying to condense and not pack things I can easily pickup in a 30 minute trip to Target. But I digress!

I updated my trip report! I have lots of new plans! Check it out!

I still haven't ordered my tickets to MNSSHP  I don't know what my hold up is, but I just feel like I should wait until we are there

Ok guys I put the Prince Charming pics on my PTR and I promise I will get caught up on everyone's PTR...;)

Hello everyone, I am new to this board so it will take some time to gather some needed info. My husband, son (3) and I just booked out first trip to Disney. We will be there from Oct. 11-16. We will be staying at the All Star Movie Resort. I have no clue where to go from here. I know we will be going to Magic Kingdom. I am concerned as to which day to go because I know they will be doing the Halloween thing there, but I wanted to see the parade and fireworks. I dont want to miss it. Im not sure how the quick service dining plan works out. I did not do my research before I booked this trip, and I feel so overwhelmed. :scared1:

Hi there,

Can I be added to the list? 47 sleeps to go...:cool1:

Our family group is me, DH, DD (just turned 6) and DS (will have just turned 5). We're staying at Coronado Springs Resort for 14 nights and we'll be at the MNSSHP on 31st October.

This is a huge trip for us from Australia and it's the kids' first Halloween and trip to WDW.

I figure the first family trip to WDW is like having your first child. Everyone has a piece of advice and you think you need to have absolutely everything in the baby shop and you end up going on a simple shopping trip looking like you've packed for a three day hike.

So, any and all advice - particularly around what you think you might need, but you really don't - is much appreciated.

:yay:Welcome to the boards!

Start on the trip planning boards and grab a notebook to keep track of things you see and want to remember. Though Oct is coming soon, you still have time to plan. If you are wanting to do any table meals, you need to try and book them now, as in asap. They will probably be booked, so you will need to keep trying.

Here is a thread for the ADRs in Oct. You can subscribe to it and watch in case anyone has any to trade or give away.

As for me, I am waiting til next week when the kids go back to school. I will then be in full planning mode! :cool1:

:flower3:Hi and welcome! I am so jealous! Two whole weeks.:cloud9: I don't have any advice for you about packing...I can't imagine trying to pack for two weeks. Just remember, you can always go to Walmart or the mall if you need anything you didn't bring (if you have a car, that is)
