I woke up this am with no intention of booking a Disney trip. We just went in February...but I couldn't pass up the free DDP!

We are going Oct 3-10th and I am sooooo excited!!!

I don't know if I am having an anxiety fit or what....can't tell if I'm excited because I only have 5 months 19 days to go, or depressed because I have 5 months 19 days to go. Either way...I'm listening to Mouseworld Radio to try to put myself in a better mood.

Am I the only one that ever feels this way?

No you are not the only one, I get that way too. October seems so far away, thank goodness Bill got me the Wishes, Spectromagic, and Illuminations CDs for Christmas. When I am feeling sad about the trip being so far away, I listen to:

Hi Oct DISers! See you Oct 2nd thru Oct 10th! OKW and ASmu.
We planned our Oct trip last year, planning on booking when free dining came out. When we heard of the new "What will you celebrate, we decided that we had to be there for my DGS's 8th Bday on Oct 4th.
So we arrive 10/02 for a 7night stay at OKW (DH and I). DD, her DH, DS and DD2 (almost 3) will be at SSR. Since my DD was able to book using timeshare points, we can't do the free dining, but decided to pay for the regular dining plan.
DD and her family will stay a few extra nights in Ft Lauderdale with other family, so I just had to book one more night for DH and I alone at ASmu. It's so hard to leave.

I love planning out the trip, but this time there's way too much time till our trip! I know what you mean about the anxiety. I feel it too. And I spend way too much time on this forum!!
It feels as though I build our WDW trips up so big, then it finally gets here, and boom, it's just over, like hitting a wall!

We will be at CSR Oct 9-19. We're so excited to be attending MNSSHP (10/13) and Food and Wine festival for the first time.


Originally we were scheduled for June, but I recently had spinal surgery and Doc said June trip would be too much for me. I was debating between rescheduling for August or October and the good folks on the Disboards (and my Aunt who lives in Fl.) convinced me that Oct. was preferable both weather wise and crowd wise.

So good bye "Hot Summer Nights", Hello Octoberfest!!!

Everyone thinks that I am nuts since I am super excited about our trip back to Disney even though it is Oct 2-10. At least here, I can be surrounded by other NUTS!

We are so excited about our first family vacation to WDW. My Dh and I have been but never with the kids! We will be in the world from October 9-18 and are staying at All Star Movies in a family suite! This is a HUGE thing for us, we are celebrating becoming debt free, and a lot of sacrifices were made to achieve that goal! Now we are living a live, full of so many opportunities!!! We can't wait !!!!

So here is my itinerary so far....obivously I have 2 months until I can do it for real, as it is park hours dependent. But what do you all think so far?

Arrive AKL 5pm. Explore resort, dinner @ Mara, catch up woth SLEEP!

Fri 2nd
MK Rope Drop
Lunch maybe in MK if we tay that long, if not lunch @ DTD.
PM: Pool, DTD, relax.

AK Rope Drop
Relax at resort
Maybe waterpark late PM?

Sun 4th
DHS Rope Drop (TSM!!)
PM Early dinner @ WCC.
MK spectro/wishes

Engagement photo session with our wedding photographers. (Poly/Boardwalk)

So that's my first week so far the second week is yet unplanned but one day will be with our wedding consultant....Obviously the hours will change a lot of my plans. I also want to fit in:

Our oldest daughter's boyfriend will be coming with us for his first trip to the world. I'm so excited with plans to make it a magical one.

Thinking about MNSSHP on the 27th, but now that they've apparently cancelled the parties on Oct 29 and Nov 1, it might be a little too busy for my taste on the 27th, so I'm holding off buying tickets for the moment.

We'll be staying at CBR, hopefully either Martinique or Jamaica. Planning to have a relaxing trip, so only doing AK and EP for the F&W festival, and MK, either during MNSSHP or otherwise.

OK, i have been doing school online for the past 10 weeks, we have a break now so i am going to try and catch up on here and post changes that i have made to reservations. HOpe to have it all read before i start back in 1 week!

We had to cut our stay early. we were going to fly out the evening of oct 16th but we received information on a conference that we have to attend and it starts the 16th so we are just going to fly out that morning. We also change our resort to the Caribbean Beach Resort.

I am new to all this dinning planning and stuff. last time i went was in 1992 and all my planning was done for me.(it was our senior trip). can anyone give me some insight on what rest. are the best and all. I have the dinning for i think a sit down and quick....i think that is it with out looking.

Is anyone else using the Military deal that is out for this year? That is what we are using. we were not going to come till 2010. thank goodness to the great deal military personnel get we get to come early!

We will be using the deal for the Military tickets. We wouldn't have been able to come for at least another year if they didn't come out with the special tickets.
