OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

Anyone have a BibbidiBobbidiBoutique reservation at MK on 11/27 that they’re thinking of dropping? I know it’s tough to actually coordinate that kind of drop but I’m desperately trying to find a MK spot instead of the Springs one that we have. Figured I’d throw it out there

I keep my packing list in my iPhone notes. I add to it all the time. I just emailed it to myself because the other day I was in Target shopping off my shopping list in notes and deleted it by accident. I couldn't remember everything on my list! So just now I was going over my list and remembered what happened and was OMG I have to save this packing list in my email! I don't know if I could redo that list just from memory, or as I'm packing. Too many items!

I'm stil 20 days out and keep freaking out about packing bc most of it can't we packed until a few days before but I have a very good list ugh just ready to pack and have that done!! the 19th is my packing day lol

trying not to overthink the plans but DD is a shopper so now I need to leave some wiggle room for her to look in all the shops that will be a highlight for her :)

Fun! How old is she?

We aren't going to do a lot of shopping this trip but I really want dd5 to pick a pearl in Japan. I've been looking at the cages to order online but I'm going to wait till she picks one first. Has anyone done this? I've watched a couple of videos and it looks fun. I might end up doing it too.

DS7 has brought up going to a Hibachi place for his birthday (in February) again because he likes the food so much. I didn't tell him I booked the hibachi place in Disney. He doesn't even know they have one. So now if we get the BOG dinner on the 29th, I need to decide if I want to pay for a meal out of pocket or drop something.
This is what we have:
- 11/25 Cape May dinner
- 11/26 Ohana dinner
- 11/27 Garden Grill Breakfast and Teppan Edo dinner
- 11/28 Tusker House breakfast
- 11/29 1900 breakfast and trying to get a BOG dinner
- 11/30 Whispering Canyon dinner
- 12/1 Via Napoli (we're paying for a pizza out of pocket)
-12/2 Bon Voyage breakfast

Ugh I think I'd cut the 1900 breakfast. 1900 always gets cut and I really want to do it. It just seems like the easiest to cut and might be better for touring purposes. If we cut it then I'm definitely doing it in May.

We won't be going to the parks on 11/18 for Mickey's birthday but we are going to Disney Springs. Do you think they will have anything going on there?

She's almost 3 this trip is for her 3rd birthday

My daughter was diagnosed with strep yesterday. 10 days of antibiotics. We leave in 9 days. It will keep her well.

My daughter just got diagnosed with pneumonia! I'm like please let the rest of us stay healthy and her get better fast!! The doctor said it can last for 2 weeks.

I have a sinus infection but started taking meds yesterday so hope to be feeling much better when we leave in 2 days!!! Bad timing but it could be worse if it'd kicked in next week when we were there. At least I was able to go to the dr and get meds easily this way...and I'm not contagious so that's good for everyone else!

We have done pick a pearl a couple of times. It is a lot of fun. It's very interactive. My DD loves picking hers out and I let DS pick mine for me. Two years in a row DD picks twin pearls and DS picked the largest pearl of the day for me!

I bet my son would love to pick mine. He would really get a kick out of it. The only hangup is that dd is very shy and doesn't like a lot of attention so we'll have to try it when the store isn't too busy. Or maybe watch someone else go first so she's more comfortable.

I refuse to think we might get sick but ya'll have me worried nowo_O. November is traditionally the month my son gets the whammy (Flu, PNA, bronchitis). Me-I am keeping up with my dose of daily red wine (I swear I do not get sick when I do this! Don't care if it's placebo or not :D)
TLDR, Hacienda San Angel during fireworks (I already have this ADR) or Sanaa?
Since you'll be at AK I'd do Sanaa-but that is my favorite restaurant so I am admittedly biased :P!

Hoping if I can convince DH to start the drive on the 17th we can get there at a decent hour on the 18th. Maybe pop into MK? We will see how we feel. I do want to do Epcot part of day on 19th, but afternoon/evening is AK (have FoP FP).

All the shirts are cute! I am neither organized enough nor creative enough to coordinate clothes. Plus the teens/tweens would rebel on me-we do have lots of Disney clothes we wear, but they aren't coordinated! The only time we had matching shirts was 2014 when DH insisted we all get the same shirt.

Keep thinking I have lots of time, but my meal planner for next two weeks only has a couple meals I am cooking on it. Will be eating leftovers, and stuff from freezer as I don't want to leave a fridge full of food to go bad! I freeze leftovers in individual servings (or into a "meal" if it is something like meatloaf/mash potato/veg) so we do have homemade "TV" dinners to live off of. I count on those on super busy days but I guess week leading up to vacation works too LOL!

My husband has been taking some gummy immune boosters. They might be airbourne ones. I'm not sure. I hate all things gummy but might breakdown and start taking them. Last year DD got sick 3 days before our trip. She made a miraculous recovery the day we landed. It must be the FL air. It was like a big humidifier.

I was looking at shirts for myself on etsy yesterday but didn't pull the trigger. I need to see what I have.

Been taking airborne all week to prevent a cold... and I got a cold... got sent home from work to telework today. I got 9 days to get rid of it amd prevent the rest of the family from getting it. I have a very weak immune system, though, and I'm normally sick most of the fall and winter. No surprises here.

more than likely you will see someone else first. Every time we've done it we've paid and then been handed a number (usually doesn't take too long) and then they call your number to come up and pick. Each one they count down and make a big deal over but you would still be standing right there with her. Being in the store area you can also walk through and easily watch others first. I've just bought the cages right from there as we always seem to find ones we like and one time with one set of twins we even had post earrings made that DD now wears for "special occasions" as she says :)
