***Official November 2016 Thread***

Has anyone got a link where I can see if the park hours have been released?

I know they haven't yet but would like a quick link that I can use and get to easily.

Isn't there a timetable that's released to travel agents slightly earlier?

As I said on a pp patiently waiting....:rolleyes1
Just remember, even when they hours finally come out, they will probably change between now and November.

For example, Thanksgiving week opening times usually get changed to 8am as it gets closer to November.

This is the link I've been checking. I could be wrong, but I believe it will update to Nov 2016 as soon as they are available. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

Yes, this is the site to check if you want to see the hours, and any changes. Although following easy WDW helps because Josh will post updates especially if the times change. It's kind of a heads up. They'll at least release hours before the 180 day mark. Mine is May 6th I believe and we check in on the 2nd.

Yes, I remember seeing that somewhere. Thank you.

I did a search and found this group. However, nothing opens... https://www.facebook.com/groups/556268611128187/
Huh that's weird, that's the group. I just clicked on the link you posted and it took me right to it..........you do have to be accepted as it's a closed group so the whole page might not open for you now, I can't remember what I could see before they accepted me.
Can you see enough to click the "join" button?

The page is blank. I found other planning groups and I can see them. For some reason this page is blank. I will try from another browser and computer.

When I click the link it's a blank page too, but when I searched I found Disney World November 2016 Planning Group and it showed up fine. (I'm not a member yet and it still showed up.)
I'm sorry guys, I wish I could help more :( Like I said, I'm lucky I can do anything more than type (pretty damn fast too, I'm "old" and actually took typing in jr. high :rolleyes1 ). I'm going to look for the group lovingeire found, it sounds from the title that it might be different from the one I'm already in. I know last year there were actually two FB Nov. Disney groups.

It is called Disney November 2016 planning. It was the 2015 group and the name was then just changed to reflect 2016

Hey All! We are officially booked at Port Orleans for Thanksgiving week! So Beyond Excited. We have planned and put off this trip "IDon'tKnowHowManyTimes", lol. The timing works perfectly as all 3 kids go to 3 different school districts (BlendedFamily) and they all have the Entire week off. Plus their birthdays are Oct, Nov & Dec... So Happy Birthday! They will be 16, about to be 15 & 13 and haven't a clue. I'm going to hold out as long as I can, but this has been long time coming so... :)! I haven't even told the Hubs that I booked yet, (Baha...) Happy to be planning with y'all!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:DOING THE HAPPY DANCE!!! I just officially (it's been unofficial for weeks) booked our trip for 11/2-11/8!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Super excited because it will be DS(5)'s FIRST TIME and DD(13)'s second. DH and I want to try and keep it a secret until the day we leave and then surprise them when we pick them up from school. Has anyone done anything similar and can give me some ideas??

I get there's a certain magic to keeping the secret until the end, but there's also a lot of fun to be had by letting them know well ahead of time, that way they can do all sorts of fun stuff, like review park maps with you, plot out itineraries as you discuss restaurants, character meets, etc. Every Disney show (and many commercials) you see will have aspects also, like "Hey, you'll probably get to meet Belle!" or "See that castle, you'll be right there!" I found ours love to get involved because it amps up the interest, and allows them to have a vested interest in the trip because they had a hand in planning it. I don't think I'll ever do the hold secret til the last minute again.

That, and it's a hell of a lot easier to be able to talk freely with the spouse, and not have to skirt the issue when the kids are around :)

Just my thoughts...you do what's best for you though!

I'm a fan of surprise trips and we are going on our 3rd surprise trip next month. We are not telling the kids until we pick them up from school. As a matter of fact, we may not tell them till they figure it out. (Our oldest is 16 so he'll probably figure it out early, but our 5 year old probably won't, and the 2 year old won't get it at all!) We are picking up the oldest, then the 5 year old, then hitting the road, stopping an hour or two away, then into Disney the next morning.

Our first surprise trip we were going right before Christmas. We always do an activity advent calendar so the note in it told them to look under the tree and a surprise they would see. They had letters from Mickey announcing the trip.

Second surprise trip was last year. We were going in June for Star Wars Weekends, but revealed it at Easter. We filled their Easter baskets with Star Wars stuff: hats, R2 spinners, pressed penny holders, etc. Then we had a note we had made on the Disboards announcing the trip.

I will say, when we revealed it a few months before it was easier on us, but then we also had to answer the 20 questions on how long until we go to Disney. No questions like that when you tell them right before you go. So there's pros and cons for both really, but we are team surprise! ;)
