We were there this past Nov for our very 1st visit & LOVED it! We were there 11/14 - 11/19 at the Poly. This year we're hoping to go for Thanksgiving because I don't want to take my son out of school for very long. He'll be 7 yrs old then & in 2nd grade. I'm still debating which resort to try this time. Lots of work to do & saving to do to make it happen again

I hear you... We are so upset we can't do our extended stay. We decided instead of using Thanksgiving week in its entirety, we will leave that Wednesday since its a half day, and then she'll have off Thurs./Fri., then we will do the whole following week. Two days of the following week she has two half days, so it's not too bad. We truly cannot imagine going any other time. We love all the Christmas decorations, the Christmas music everywhere you go, and the weather is good (not too hot or too cold). Enjoy your planning, I'll be right here along with you trying to figure out where we want to stay this year. Good luck!

We are in the same boat as my son will be 7 and in 2nd grade this November, so we're planning to have him out for a week as we'll leave Thanksgiving night and enjoy the parks the 29th of Nov through Dec 5th.

We could always skip Thanksgiving and go that week, but many factories have pushed us towards taking him out.

1. His grades are good!
2. Would have some mad family
3. Better crowds!
4. Better weather!

Add me to the list!! We just booked Nov 15-22 at POR. I'm so excited!

We're there the same dates! (at least right now). We're staying at BLT though. This will be the first trip for DH, DS (7 then) and DD (5 then). I haven't told any of them that I booked it already!

I'm here you both- I'm undecided on the exact dates we're planning. I would really like to do the mon., tues & wed before thanksgiving, thanksgiving & a few days after. Then come home & still have a few days before it's back to school for ds. But, that would mean ds would have to miss 2 1/2 days of school. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but i don't know. I did take him out for 3.5 days this year, but I'm not sure.... he'll be in 2nd grade and goes to catholic school- so 2nd grade is a big deal for them with preparing to receive communion in the spring. I was good with doing the wed before Thanksgiving & doing 5 or 6 nights, but then I looked back 2013 discounts that were offered and if the discounts are the same as last year's, then if we check in the saturday before thanksgiving we could potentially get free dining for the trip- if they offer the same discounts. decisions...decisions....

May I join? Dh and I on a late anniversary trip. Nov 2-7. Hoping the last night of the Halloween Party is on that Sun we check in. I love MNSHP. Tentatively book for 4 days at the AKL CL and then probably a theme park view at the Poly. We decided to do it up right. I have wanted to stay in one of those rooms for forever. But, it seemed so expensive. But I got a couple raises last year so we are going to splurge with it.

I had read this was probably Jersey week with no discounts. I am hoping that is not the case since it appears some are getting pins for something during that time frame.

We have wanted to do F&W for several years but didn't want to give up the annual Christmas trip. We really like that time of year. We went one year in Oct to see if we appreciated that time of year. We fell in love with MNSSHP but not the weather so much.

Looking forward to it thought, very excited and I will probably change my mind a 100 times before then.

We are officially booked at CSR for 11/12-11/18. This is our rescheduled trip that we postponed from 12/31/13-1/7/14. We're already paid off, so now I can kick back and relax until the frenzied planning begins again!!

Jersey week in 2014 will be from 11/1 to 11/7, so you're clear.

I'm a little afraid for my days at Universal, but I know most families prefer WDW anyway!

Its been a long time since Ive been on here and just about as long since Ive been to Disney but the plan is to change that this year with a surprise trip for my nephew (11) for a week in November! I'm thinking we will be staying at ASM but if I can swing it maybe POFQ.

This will be our first visit with our daughter!!! After waiting 5 years to adopt, we were placed with our baby in July. We brought her home when she was 3 days old. Needless to say we are very excited, we have so much to celebrate!!! We are also bringing my sister, brother in law and nephew.

Okay, I've started the list of travellers in the first post. Hopefully we'll have more people joining us soon

Right now I'm counting down the days until I start working again (my job is seasonal ). Just 3 more days now, and I won't have to be bored to my wits anymore But even better, that means I'll have something to distract me again, and I'll start getting paid again. And that means, we can start to do some serious saving. And trust me, saving up for a wedding and a Disneymoon, means we have to save as much as we can possibly spare
