***********Official "November 2014" thread- Come Join Us!!!! ************

Only one week to go! We are leaving for DLR the day after Thanksgiving....woo hoo!

We are staying at DLH for the first time so I am extra excited about that! We are flying (thank you SW points!) and if all goes well we will be on Main St. by 4pm. Our first partial day will just consist of seeing the Marvel characters, fireworks, enjoying some holiday treats and taking in all the holiday magic!

Even though we're staying onsite, I don't think we will really be able to take advantage of the EMH. DH is NOT a morning person so it will be a struggle for me to get him up and going just for regular rope drop! Also, I don't know how people do it if they want to stay for evening entertainment as well. We'll see how it goes.

We will also be using Pinnochio's Workshop for the first time for DS6 on Sunday night so DH and I can enjoy a few rides together and hit up Trader Sam's! REALLY looking forward to that!

After we get back on Dec 1st, it will be my busiest time at work so I doubt I'll be able to do a trip report, but I will try to report back on a few special things that we see/do.

CAN. NOT. WAIT. :yay:

We've been back for a week now and finally back to our usual routine, boo.
The kids loved that we surprised them with a stay and the Grand. Weather the first two days was brutally hot, but fairly low crowds. The days over Veterans day were cooler but so packed!
First day we went straight to E&A for FPs, it was pretty quick and painless, we arrived back about 5 minutes early for our time and there was no one in line so we got to go straight back. They only spent about 1-2 minutes with us, much quicker than any other princess meeting but oh well, I enjoyed the short wait which is probably in part due to the short meet.
DD6 insisted on bringing a princess dress for every day, plus one for the drive home, that's her favorite part of Disney. She ended up bringing Anna's winter outfit and little girl outfit, Elsa, Alice, Snow White, and Minnie Mouse. DS6 wanted a Jack Sparrow costume but only ended up wearing it one day.

We ate at Carnation Cafe, BB and twice at Cafe Orleans-the kids loved the Monte Crisco sandwich and we were able to split 2 of them and 2 fries between the 6 of us and were plenty stuffed, made it to be a pretty inexpensive meal. They were never taking walk ups, but it was very easy to get reservations for the next evening.

This was the first trip that DD6 and DS6 were tall enough for Indie, they hated it. They both tried ToT and DD liked it, DS hated it, he also decided he didn't like most rides. Space, Matterhorn, RSR, HM, Astro Orbits, BTR and just about every thing else. His twin sister loved just about everything, they are so different. Older DSs had a great time, they don't care as much about the atmosphere but love the rides and loved being able to run off on their own for a bit here and there.
