OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2010 THREAD - Let the countdown begin!

We will be their November 7 through the 14th. This is our first trip and we are super excited. My MIL, who is taking us, has been a few times. However, I am planning the trip because she has had hand surgery and is laid up. It has been very overwhelming but I am having a blast

This poor thread was buried! I am getting excited about my 11/3-8 trip... I didn't realize it was Jersey Week so hope the crowds aren't bad. Does anyone had the crowd calendar app and know what is predicted yet for those days?

Thanks for the calendar. I am surprised that Thanksgiving day is a 10. In my experience in 2007, which was the year the stock market was up and the economy was roaring... Thanksgiving day was NOT a 10. Not based on the crowd calendar but based on my observation being there. This year, they're bribing people with "free dining" to get people in. The economy is in the tank... I wonder why he thinks that Thanksgiving day will be a 10?

If you're going by when the promotions are offered, there are only nine days between now and the middle of February 2011 that the Gift Card promotion and the Percent-Off room-only code aren't valid. Three of those days are November 24, 25, 26 and the other six are Christmas through New Year's Eve. November 24 through 27 is going to be busier than any four days in August, September, October, November, and December up until about the 22nd. Whether that's a "10" or a "7" is debatable, I suppose. I don't recommend being anywhere near Magic Kingdom or Epcot on Thanksgiving.

If you're going during Thanksgiving and have been there during that time frame before, you're probably aware it's much more expensive and much more crowded than the rest of November and first three weeks in December. The "Calendar" is just trying to emphasize that point.

Be there Nov. 13-18. Picked those dates to include the lights at MGM, a MVMCP, and the last day of Food and WIne. Went last October and it was HOT, so these dates should be a bit cooler.

Will be a bittersweet trip. I'm taking my Mom, who has moderate Alzheimer's and no short-term memory at all. She will enjoy every moment, but then not remember any of it. Been taking her every year since 1973, and this may be her last trip---so I will make it special for her.

She is aware enough to know she wants to go to Disneyworld...and told me that if I went without her she would haunt me when she passes away.

Just had to come here and celebrate with all you folks that understand!! DH and I decided 2 weeks ago to take a trip - just the two of us - 11/14-11/19! We got the resort we wanted with the view we wanted at a dicount and today i finished our ADR's. We got everything we wanted and decent times!!! WOOHOOO! So very excited.

Oh! And we are doing MVMCP!!!!!

We are taking our 2 year old for his fourth trip in Nov 12 I finally convinced DH to squeeze one more trip before he turns 3. It will also be our first F&W Festival and Festival of the Masters. I can't hardly wait!!!
