Has anyone who will be at Disney between May 9 - 22 received the promised notification from Disney concerning the expanded EMH days and hours?

I was told we would be getting a postcard, but have yet to receive anything. We leave on May 7 and will be there through May 10.

We are first-time visitors to Disney and I must say that I am not at all pleased with the way in which Disney has handled this. We are a little over a week away from our trip and have yet to get anything official from Disney on this.

If it weren't for this web site, I wouldn't have known about this at all.

I e:mailed Disney twice on this and have yet to get a reply.

They say first impressions are lasting impressions and, so far, I am not at all impressed by the way Disney has handled (or not handled) this.

Hi,

I receieved a postcard just yesterday....we are annual passholders so maybe thats why we got something (I dont know) but since this is something they are testing I guess they are going to tell guests at the resorts upon check-in.

We are leaving on May 7th too and have not received anything from Disney regarding the EMH testing. I am not too pleased with the way they have handled it and I sent an e-mail to them telling them how unhappy I am. I have not gotten a reply yet. I have had to rearrange my schedule and change priority seatings. If they were going to do this, they should have announced it way before so people could make their plans ahead of time.

I personally would have chosen different dates to arrive based on the new MK EMH's. But since I have nonrefundable airline tickets, I am stuck with deciding on going Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Which all three days are pretty busy so I have heard.

Oh well, I know I will still have a great time regardless, so I guess I just have to get over it.

:hyper:

We arrive May 19th and got a postcard about the new EMH on Monday (4/26). Don't worry about not getting one though since it doesn't say anything that the www.disneyworld.com site doesn't have. I don't think they've got everything definite yet and probably won't until May 9th. Also, I know it's inconvenient that the hours have changed so close to arrivals, but it's really not any different than when they change regular park hours, which they often do very close to the date. I know it can sorta mess with PSs (as we have an 8:15 breakfast at Cindy's on 5/21, and that's now an EMH morning at MK, so when we're done eating the park will already have a crowd), but I don't think it's anything that can't be worked around, and really, once you're there are you really gonna care about that stuff? No! You'll be enjoying your vacation!

Where on the disney.com site? I looked the other day and could not find it either. The info was fairly easy to get off Mouseplanet and the DIS, but disney seems to have hidden it pretty well, at least from me ;-)
