**Official MVMCP, 2010!** Guest list, tips and info.

Can anyone tell us how to go about purchasing them at the park. Is it just like buying them at the gate...or is there a seperate line for them. It says that you can get into the park at 4:00 pm

It is our first time, too. Sorry I can't help. My guess would be that you could get them at guest services. :confused3 Anybody know??? :confused3

Single Digit Dance!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We leave on the 10th, and go to MVMCP on the 12th. :goodvibes

Me too. Feeling the flow of the single digits...

:banana::santa::banana::santa::woohoo:

Get to the World on the 10th, take in the Candlelight Processional that night. And then to the MVMCP on the 12th. Can't wait.

Me too!!! Starting to get excited...up until now I've been too busy to get caught up but look out!!! Almost packed and getting as much of the holiday tasks done so that won't be overwhelming when we get back.

We are going to MVMCP on December 12 and will be watching late parade in Frontierland and fireworks in front of the castle closer to Main Street. We'd talked earlier on this thread about getting some Dis'ers together to watch together...anyone still up for that?

Looking forward to running into BDL at Crystal Palace, as well.

Bought our tickets last week for 12/9. Can't wait! Freezing or not, it's going to be amazing to be there :)

I'll be there on the 12th!:banana:

:sad2: I keep watching the forecast and they keep saying periods of rain.:eek: I hope they are wrong.

We just got home late last night and I'm still reeling from the fun! We did MVMCP this past Thursday night and while it was FREEZING (as in, we could see our breath), it was sooooo wonderful! Even if just for the short lines, lol. Pack warm clothes and enjoy. And if anyone is doing the Wishes Dessert Party... oh my gosh! That was SO worth it, and it really didn't eat into the night at all. Great view, fantastic food with coffee, juices, hot chocolate, cold milk, and just a blast! It was my husband's favorite part of the trip.

We are going Dec. 19th and now I'm freaking out! I keep reading all these horrible reports about the crowds and how it's a waste of time and money.. sigh...

Don't let anyone else decide what your night will be like. We had a *wonderful* time at MVMCP and our experience was nothing like some are describing. It was one of the best nights of our trip!

Expect some crowds and go prepared for chilly weather... and make it your special night! We had a blast and will always remember it. :)

We went and had the best time!! We usually go to WDW in September and never experienced the holiday season. The lights and smells were so different than we were used to and it was great!! Stopping for hot cocoa and cookies was fun for the kids. Seeing the characters in their holiday clothes was neat as well. We went the first week (Nov. 12th) and had no problems with lines. Maybe it is different now that it is closer to Christmas. Don't let other's opinions get you down because everyone's perception is different. I hope you have a great time!! :santa::santa::santa:

We went Tuesday night (12/07) and had a blast. Not many people were there that night. The longest wait we had was getting our picture taken with the dwarves, which was 15 minutes. We were having so much fun doing things that we didn't have time to get any cookies or cocoa.

Hi, I haven't posted before but we just went to the 12/9 MVMCP and I thought I'd ease your mind. 12/9 was Sold Out so I don't think the crowds will be any greater on the 19th. We had a fantastic time. Our group consisted of my husband and I, our two-year-old and three grandparents. There were definately a lot of people, more so than in the day-time on Wed. But we didn't go for the rides, we went for the fun. We got there at 6 pm and it was high 40's, low 50's. We did Small world with a 10 min wait and got pics with Donald. We had minimal waits, 2 min. max, for hot chocolate and cookies. Got a front row spot for the first parade in frontierland about 20 min before the parade. After the parade we strolled over to Tomorrowland, and saw Mickey's Philarmagic with no wait (my kid's favorite attraction) on the way. We made it to the Rose Garden bridge in time to watch the fireworks and see Tinkerbell. Then we went over to cosmic rays and the dance party. The party alone was worth the price of admission. My kid had a BLAST! Santa Goofy and Pluto were dancing with the kids. It was a perfect number of people, not too few, and not too many at the dance party. We stayed there for over an hour. It was a shelter from the cold, minimal lines for food at that time and lots of fun. My toddler got a second wind (he never stays up past 9pm) and was a dancing fool! When we left, the second parade was just finishing its route through main street (running late because it was just after 11) And we took our time walking down mains street (sidewalks are clear as everyone left was watching the parade). It was snowing and cold and BEAUTIFUL with the music and parade in the background.
This entire night happened by accident (had no plans for dance party or staying so late) and I enjoyed it most when I stopped worrying about enjoying it. (I was a ball of frustration before the parade). So ignore those unfortunate persons who didn't manage to have a good time and maybe learn from the mistakes they share, so that you won't repeat them. Good Luck and I hope this helps someone have as great a time as we did.

I really hope it doesn't rain, but I intend to enjoy it regardless. In fact, for the MNSSHP we went to this past year, the rain actually kept people away. Of course that party wasn't sold out, so who knows. We are going on the 19th and doing the dessert party and CRT for dinner, so it's going to be a fun filled night!

We had a great time at the party on December 16th! I am so glad I found you TruBlu! I enjoyed meeting you and your family so much! Just think, we almost missed each other! I hope everyone that went to the parties had a great time! Our favorites included the dance party at the saloon with Woody, Jesse and Buckeye and the Christmas parade! We also loved the snow on Main Street!
I hope everyone has a terrific 2011! We are already planning another trip next Christmas!:santa:

Whew! We are finally back home and I'm getting all caught up on the DIS. :goodvibes

We also had a fantastic time at the party!!!

All night long I was so bummed that we didn't meet any DISers. We rode Splash Mtn. several times at the end of the party, my boys were wet, cold and complaining because I made them stop for that last picture. I am so happy I did!!!! Your's was the best hug I got all night (well, second best - Mickey's came with a kiss! ;)) It was wonderful to meet you and your family. I really wish we could have talked longer! Your DD is very sweet and ADORABLE!!! :lovestruc

Thanks! You have a terrific family too! We wouldn't let DD and DS ride any of the water rides-both had already had issues with sinus infections, croup, etc. and I didn't want them to have a relapse at WDW! I didn't meet any other DISer's while we where there! I was so disappointed! We did have a couple of DISer's sign our message board at POP, but we never met anyone else in person. I hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas-we haven't stopped since we got home on the 21st! We loved riding the train too! You should try it sometime. It was a 9 hour trip(longer going because we were delayed), but enjoyable. We met a lot of nice people on the train. The price was right too($300.00 roundtrip for the four of us!) Due to my back issues we can't drive it in a day so the train was a good solution for us. I have to tell you I walked the entire day of the party! It was the best Christmas present I could have asked for! I had to ride a scooter the rest of our trip, but just having that one day was worth it! We're already planning another trip next November the week after Thanksgiving, but I don't think we'll tell the kids this time and let it be a surprise! We told them this trip would be our last for a while, but every time we go down there we can't help but want to go again! We're thinking about retiring down there in 5 or 6 years-we can both retire from education with 28 years and could work at WDW! We came close to purchasing DVC, but decided not to since we might move down there anyway.
I hope we can stay in touch! Please PM and let me know where you are in NC! My sister and her husband live in Franklin.
I hope you guys have a Happy New Year with many more memories to be made! Take care!
