I don't have the patience to do a whole trip report but i figured i'd post the details of my experiences at
MVMCP on the 18th here for you all..
Got to the park at 4.. walked in and got our bracelets.. We watched the flag ceremony and went over to do the hall of presidents, HM and It's a Small World with no wait for any of them. We stopped and got our traditional funnel cake-- swung back behind castle and watched the castle lighting from the side of the castle.. not the full effect of main street but quiet!!!
At around 6:50 we got in line for the dwarfs. Line was already wrapped back to the wall and once we got in line grew like crazy-- was wrapped up to IASW... At 7 they checked wrist bands in the line-- several people had to get out of line.. They came out right at 7, and the line moved QUICK, we had about 50 people in front of us I'd guess and we still got in for our pictures in the first wave.
We strolled down and did HM again (I can't help myself. .it's my alltime fave!!) Took our time walking around and shopping.. got some cookies and hot coco... We got to frontierland and people were getting ready for the parade so we kept going--- walked through a completely empty to the point of creepy Adventureland!! It was pitch black and there was nobody else around at all because they were all waiting for the parade..... Stopped for the genie and aboo, went on Pirates.. watched a little skit and cut through to main street-
Parade was still going on. We slipped into Casey's and had dinner and did more shopping and walked over to Tomorrowland. Walked up main street to see castle lit from the front and got hit with the snow

Really wanted to do buzz but it was the only ride in the park with a line so we skipped it. My hubby doesn't do coasters so I decided to skip Space Mountain. Popped into the dance party and did some shopping in Tomorrowland (bought a christmas hat and a Christmas party pin.... not too much in the way of special merchandise at all...!)
We walked back down main street and got a terrific spot for the fireworks. They were awesome, was really nice! Hubby wanted to keep spot for parade, but at this point i was starting to get really beat and the thought of sitting in one spot for an hour waiting was more than I could handle.. It was only about 30 minutes til the parade started but frontierland seemed so quiet and I figured i would take a walk back over that way and catch the beginning of the parade instead of the end of it!
Walked over and sat down- got a great spot about 15 minutes before the start of the second parade.. I think we must have gotten a super slow night... There were empty spots even after the start!!
I thought the parade was terrific, I was super impressed by the wooden soldiers and it was a pretty long parade!!
Cut back through adventureland and did some shopping on the way to the bus to the beach club-- got lucky with the bus.. walked right on, got a seat and headed back with a half empty bus!!
Anyway, we had a terrific time, was definitely the highlight of the trip. Didn't make it to the shows but I did get to do the dwarfs and had a small ton of coco and saw the fireworks and parade, which were the main things i wanted to do.. Could have done more if I wasn't stopping for rides but since it was a quick 3 day no kid trip this was our only MK visit so i had a few must do's
I gotta say my kids are 2 and 7 and I can't even imagine doing this with small kids! They would be totally shot the next day.. They would have had a LOT of fun, but i would have to plan a resort day the next day.. We did a lot of criss crossing around the park to see what we wanted to see, I was totally shot by 11:30 and really had to sleep til 9ish the next day to recover which is not my ususal in disney!! I did get up real early party day and went over & did Future world .. If I had a restful day maybe I would have held up better. We had went from futureworld, to lunch in france, to the monorail to the party.. so it was a long day for me!!
