**Official MVMCP, 2010!** Guest list, tips and info.

I'm thinking our schedule will look something like this:
3:50pm Dinner at CP
rides
Possible Disboard meet???? 6:30pm Castle Lighting
7:00pm Find characters
9:30pm Fireworks
10:05pm Watch Celelbration on castle stage (?--depends on where we choose to watch fireworks/parade)
10;30pm Watch parade
rides/characters

When you start mapping out what you want to do, it isn't really that long!

Add us to the list on December 2nd. Just ordered the tickets this past weekend! It will be our second time going at Christmas and we can't wait party:

No qualms with the Bruins, I don't like to dis any of the Original Six and lots of Canadians have played for Boston over the years...can't speak for DH though, he's a Leafer ('nuf said). If you liked the American version of Fever Pitch, check out the British version...the original's about soccer (based on a book by Nick Hornby) and extremely funny. A lot of soccer is watched and played by the boys in my house. BDL - CP would be great - ADR is 4:45-ish. We are a party of five...you will likely notice my tiny red-haired mother-in-law with the Scottish accent before any of the rest of us, though! Picturing the two of you together is making me laugh already!:lmao:

As for the parade, Rachael and others...DSis and I watched in Liberty Square last year and it was a great spot. I'd love to meet up with some DISers - we're planning for the later parade.

We plan on seeing the fireworks from around Casey's. DH and I would be game to meet up in Libery Square for the 2nd parade. We should have enough time to get there and get a spot right?

I would think so...once we have a plan in place I'll ask the OP to add it to the December 12 list...love adding to the fun!

We will be there at the same time. Nov 13 - 20. The MVMCP is a special event that you will need to purchase the tickets for separately.

We will be at the party on Nov 18 (also DH's birthday)!

It's my DH's birthday that day as well, and we'll be at the Christmas Party that night too!!! Super cool!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Add us on for November 18th, we're there!!!

Please add CdnGoofyFan01 and CdnDisneyFan to the Nov 19th list, we've got 6:45 pm ADR's at LTT, and CAN'T WAIT!!!

Jules

DS and I watched in Liberty Square last year and it was a great spot.

Can you give us your plan from last year and/or the one you have for this year? I want us to watch it from there, just trying to figure out where we should watch the fireworks from and when to fit in the Castle show.

Thanks, Erika

How's everyone's party planning coming along? I'm up for seeing what other people plan to do..... :goodvibes

This is our tentative plan:
MVMCP Plan
1. Arrived around 4-5
2. Castle Lighting @ 6:15 in front of Castle
3. Visit with Characters, Dance Parties, tour Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorrowland.
4. About 8:50 find a spot for the parade after it clears out from 1st parade.
5. 9:30 Enjoyed the fireworks.
6. 10:30 Enjoy the parade.
7. Go to the front of the castle and sit on the pavement in the center circle to easily watch the show.
8. 11:20 Celebrate the Season Show.

We might try and get the Celebrate the Season Show in earlier...not sure. Plus I'm not sure if we should try and watch the parade from in front of the castle or in Liberty Square, plus I have read that the Tomorrowland Bridge is a good place to watch the fireworks....decisions decisions!!!! I kind of like the plan I have listed because we can do touring and Character visits early and then relax in front of the Castle later in the night with Hot Choco:santa:

Our plan is

1. Arrive between 4 or 5
2. Eat a counter service meal for dinner (probably Columbia Harbor House)
3. Get in line for the 7 dwarfs at 6
4. At 7 see the drawfs and then do some other character meets
5. Get a spot for the fireworks around 8:45ish. See Wishes at 9:30
6. See the 2nd parade at 10:30- Potentially watch with some Disers

And then I can't decide whether we want to see more characters or watch the 11:20 Celebrate the Season Show. We might just wing it and decide at the party.

What do you guys think? Is the Celebrate the Season show worth seeing?

My main goal with the characters is to meet Mickey, Minnie and the 7 drawfs and I don't know if we'll have enough time between 7 and 8:45. I would like to meet some other characters, but is the Celebrate the Season show worth seeing?

I would think people who go to first parade would just hang out and wait to watch the fireworks before leaving their spots, since there is only one show time for it , making it harder for others to get a decent spot, but I have never been so what do I know :confused3

We will be going back to MK for all the regular night time stuff (Castle lighting, MS Parade, fireworks) so we can skip the lighting that night and get in line for something else, which I guess would be the more popular characters.

I really want to see everything but don't see that as being possible. Will have to skip at least one of the shows or won't have a chance to see many characters. Wish we could just go two nights, but ah well.

I'm just glad we aren't going the first week so we will have a little more time based on others experiences to decide the best plan.

I agree and thought the same thing. The 2nd parade just works better for us, but who knows maybe we'll see the crowds and decide to see the first parade! :)

Luckily we are going to one of the last parties so we can see what others say in regards to how crowded it is if you don't see the first parade and how long the character lines get early on!

The best place for the parade isn't always the best place for the fireworks...so it depends on where you want to watch each, if you will even want to be in the same spot. If the second parade works better for you, go with that, just figure out where you want to be for each thing and plan your night from there.

DSis and I didn't really have a plan last year, however I will be doing a plan for this year that will be similar to others posted recently and I will definitely share it once I've completed it. So looking forward to the party!!!

we watched the fireworks from the dessert party last year. The view was great! We moved over to Main Street later and watched the second parade. It was not at crowded as the first. We had such a great time last year, we can't wait to go this year again.
