That's correct.

Someone a while back mentioned an extra ticket or tickets, and maybe selling them at Disney. Sorry, I don't remember who posted it. I didn't have time to reply when I saw it and am too lazy to go back looking for it now. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend that. A CM can and will stop you if they see you. I know, it happened to me, and I wasn't even selling a ticket, I was giving it away, for free. One member of our party couldn't make it that night and I didn't want the ticket to go to waste so I tried to give it away outside the MK. I was stopped within minutes and informed that it's against Florida law to do that. The CM, after hearing my story, was nice enough to refund my money for the ticket, even though they are technically non refundable. I apologized for attempting to break the law. I didn't know. I knew I couldn't legally sell it, but didn't know I couldn't even give it away. HTH

That seems really odd...because let's say you bought a ticket to give as a gift to someone. That's giving it away. My husband bought our tickets and they're going to be picked up at Will Call. The thing is in his name, yet one of those tickets is mine. But my name isn't on it, so technically, he's giving away one of those tickets to me. Perhaps the CM wasn't too fond of the method being used since someone would be getting a free ticket rather than actually paying Disney to get in...but I can't imagine it's actually against Florida law to give a free gift to someone when you had an extra one. I'm sure Florida residents know more about this than I do...so if they could point out a link to where the law is stated, I'd appreciate it because I can't find anything. I believe the "nontransferable" has commonly been referred to reselling tickets and to partially using tickets and then giving it to someone else to use...but I've never heard about it being illegal to have an unused ticket and to give it to someone else. Otherwise they're breaking the law themselves when they and their licensed ticket sellers have one person buy multiple tickets for the people in their traveling party.

Well, I tried that argument actually, LOL. I was told that purchasing a ticket for someone in your party to use is not the same as gifting it to a stranger. The Guest Relations CM told me that I was welcome to give it to another member of my travelling party if I wanted, but I couldn't just give it to someone at random. Oh well, next time I know better. I'll give it away prior to going to the park if need be. Hopefully there won't be a next time though, LOL, and everyone I purchase a ticket for will actually be able to use it in the future.

I guess I'm still not believing that CM since that completely goes against what they've been "rewarding"...as several people have received special pins for "spreading the magic" to complete strangers...by giving something away to them or something else. If it was really a law, then they wouldn't be giving things away to people who do things like that.

Honestly I doubt there is some "law" about that. Maybe if it was over a certain monetary value, but I'm just doubting a $40 ticket being given to someone breaks a law. It really just seems as though they weren't happy that someone was going to get in for free. That's just business for them.

Kudos to you for trying to pass on the magic, though!!! That was incredibly generous of you!! :thumbsup2

I'll bet the law the CM was referring to was the anti-scalping one. I'd be willing to think that even though the person told them they were giving the ticket away, the CM didn't believe them and thought they were trying to scalp the ticket.

Sorry if this one has already been asked....this thread already has 100 pages!!

If you spend the day at MK and plan on going to MNNSHP... do you have to exit the park to get your wrist band and treat bag?

As mentioned we will be in MK for the day and we have 4:10 ressies at LTT, I'd hate to have to walk all the way back to the main gate after dinner just to get a wrist band. Is there usually another location in the park where we can get our ticket scanned?

Thanks

I don't know from personal experience, but I believe I read somewhere in this thread where the poster said that CM's are walking around and passing out the wrist bands for those of you that will be in the park during the day and have also purchased the MNSSHP tickets ... I guess they check your tickets (not sure if they have a card reader or something) and will give you the wrist band so that you do not have to exit and come back in.

I read, i beleive on this thread, many pages ago, that you can enter the party after 4 and get a wristband, if you are only attending the party.

Does that mean you just go to the turnstile with your MNSSHP ticket and they give you a wrist band there?

My MNSSHP tickets have no identifying marks on them at all to say what date they're for. I would doubt I can just show them the ticket from inside the park.

Unless the CMs walk around with mobile swippers.

[*]WRISTBANDS: You get a wristband at the turnstyle if you enter after 4pm; otherwise they'll be special areas set up to exchange tickets for wristbands [last year there was one at Town Square between the Firehouse and City Hall]; you MUST have the wristband to be at the park during hours of the party, there are CMs enforcing this. Upon entering, you also receive a mnsshp guide. It is similar to the day guide booklets you get in the parks. It will have the parade route, times of all events and locations for them, trick and treat stations.

This is from the first page....I update it whenever I read new tips etc. here or elsewhere.....I added the Town Square info just now [tried to find where stations were]....sounds like they'll be stations throughout with bands.

First time going to MNSSHP; here is my question-- my kids like the hard tickets we received, do the CM's take the tickets or can we keep them as momentos?

You get to keep the tickets. The cm will scan the card put a wristband on you and give the card back. Also you cant just bring someones card and scan it and get a wristband. I tried doing this but they said I had to go get my family and bring them back. The CM has to put the wristband on the person.

I thinke you can keep them. We kept our MVMCP tickets as they are bar coded and scanned.

Several CMs have told me that you won't be able to enter the park any earlier than 6pm with only using your party ticket. If this is true, there is going to be alot of upset people that have ADRS between 4-6pm (me included). I don't see why they just can let you in early to eat. If Disney enforces the time of 6pm, they are sure going to miss out on alot of people eating, which is alot of money!!!
