Thanks for the tip. I contacted AAA and they said there are no restrictions for going out of state and unlimited mileage. So I think I am good!
AAA rental partner around here is Hertz.

We are renting a minivan from Hertz and AAA for our trip as well. This was the best option we have found thus far price-wise. Hertz is unlimited mileage, and there is no additional fee for your spouse to drive. That's something else to check on for other companies. Some of them wanted $9.99 per day for that . . . .
