"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

The party on Friday night the 9th was amazing - it was really cold for Florida (we are from Minneapolis). People must not have shown up because it was in the 40s. 15 minute line for Nick and Judy most of the night. 5 minutes for Sandy Claws at 10 pm. After the first parade many people went home. They could not give enough cookies away! I was so tired after coming off a cruise, wish I could have stayed till the end to see how empty the park was. We were expecting major crowds!

DD wants to see Sandy Claws. I sooo didn't want to bother with characters. Any experience with the line late in the party? I was thinking the line would not be too bad at either 10:30 or 11:30...

Attended my first part on Thursday and it was great! It was perfect and really set the tone for our short 3 day trip. We were basically able to ride 75% of the main rides, watch all the shows, enjoy the treats, and even do a bit of shopping (including a quick service dinner). We started by using out 3 FP+ (Mine Train, Peter Pan, and Mission Space) in a row before 7pm, walked on Small World, walked on Thunder Mountain, walked on Haunted Mansion, walked on Pirates, waited 10 minutes for Jingle, and waiting 10 minutes for Buzz. Beyond that we just went from ride to ride as needed and caught shows between. It was lovely. We aren't big on waiting for character meets, so this event pretty much acted as magic hours for us (because ride lines were so short), but it also made certain areas of the park more enjoyable, and the parade / fireworks were fantastic. Not sure if we will plan a vacation around this event every year, but we will be back.

You can see it on main street but it doesn't fall right at the train station which is what I took the poster to be asking.

If you read my previous posts, I was right next to the train station. It did snow, just not as heavily as on Main Street proper.

Mine is also first hand experience. I was directly in front of the train station.

Here now for our first party. We've had a blast! Met the ducks right at 7. (Got in line for them a little before 6:30)

Grabbed some snacks, was able to get both th limited edition pins and shirts we wanted. Scored front row spots for the castle stage show and Frozen about 10 minutes before the stage show.

We then saw Winnie the Pooh and friends - that was awesome!!! So much fun! Showed up around 8:40 and had hardly any wait for the 9:00 set.

We found a great spot in caseys corner for fireworks and are now waiting for the parade. Such a great night so far!

I have no first hand experience as I haven't been to a party yet, but I'v read a lot. From what I've read, the line will probably be short the later it gets, but I wouldn't recommend going at 11:30. If the CM's think the current line will last until the end of the part they will close the line. But I think your 10:30 time is a good idea since many lines are shorter during parades.

I started a new thread for this, but figured I might as well post here too. Due to a last minute conflict, 2 members of my party can no longer attend the 12/18 MVMCP. I'd love to see their 2 tickets go to someone who either missed out on getting tickets while they were still on sale or decided not to go because they couldn't fit it into their budget, rather than have them go to waste! I'm giving them away for free, so if you or anyone you know is interested in them, please let me know!

I just sent you a pm

We went to the party on December 3 and had a great time! We did the dessert party and thought it was great! The parade sitting was perfect and goodies plentiful! A nice touch new to us was the wrapped sugar cookie and bagged chocolates we were given! We still had lots of time for shows and rides! Since I can't do many of the rides, I did a cookie crawl! I couldn't eat them then but saved them for later! Loved the ginger cookies!

Where are these cookies and bagged chocolates given? I was there in November and saw neither. :( Will be back again in a week or so with family and want everyone to get all of the goodies!

The chocolates are at the dessert party. Assuming the bagged cookie is the one you receive when entering through the bypass entrance.

Thru the bypass entrance, eh? A little strange but oh well. That explains as I walked down main street.

Depending on the crowds, they've been routing folks that way at times.

It was open the night we were there although there wasn't any significant crowd on main street so I figured why bother with the bypass.
