****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

Got a message from dad saying he's in bed with a bronchial infection. His doctor says he should be fine just in time for the trip if he takes his antibiotics and gets plenty of rest. Funny, I was more worried about his foot being still sore from surgery. Didn't know I'd have to worry about him having bronchitis instead.

13 days and more hype than before. Excited for more Disney Quest and of course my favorite restaurant, T-Rex.

Just skimmed the last few pages and didn't see many "I'm back" posts. I guess it's more fun to talk about before than after the vacation. :goodvibes We got back yesterday and had a wonderful time! Bay Lake Tower was phenomenal, a great once-in-a-lifetime experience. We enjoyed Caribbean Beach Resort as well, I felt it had significant extra space than a value and the fridge really came in handy (I've been on some dietary restrictions so having a space to store my food was a huge plus). The weather was beautiful, upper 80s every day and only 2 brief periods of rain. Couldn't have asked for better. I will post a few pictures in a day or two. Those who are leaving soon, have a great time!!!

Sometimes it just rains a bit and clears up for the rest of the day. Don't get too discouraged!! We've only ever had it rain on us one time at the parks, and it was actually a nice cool down and kind of cleared it out. Maybe a pair of flip-flops in the park bag just in case.

I have lucked out most trips with no rain or only at night. One trip inApril we did get a lot of rain sitting in wet rides not so much fun.

People who are there right now... What are the crowds like? The crowd calendar is saying "5" most of the week I'm there, so I was wondering what that translated to in terms of wait times! Thanks!

I wouldn't even put things at a 5 at the moment. We're doing a lot of rides between park opening & about 2pm & most rides are either 10/15 minute waits or virtual walk ons. We had some REALLY hot days earlier this week & at about 1pm Splash was up to 40 minutes which really isn't bad for 35C heats. Space got as high as 40 minutes briefly but otherwise has been around 20 minutes. Twice I basically walked straight into the loading area.

Soarin' - I haven't seen above 30 minute waits. We did standby one night about 6'ish & it was 30 minutes. Mission SPACE was a walk on - first time I stopped walking I was in the briefing room.

TSM over at DHS we topping out about 40 minutes when we were there. We rode this about 10am one morning when it said 30 minutes, we waited closer to 15 minutes. RnR & ToT were posted at 10 minutes each the afternoon we were there at midday/1pm times.

Haven't been to AK yet so can't say for there, but have done Universal parks the last 2 days & the longest we waited for any ride in either park was 10 minutes including all the coasters.

Yay!!!:banana: Thanks for your little report! And sooooo glad you liked CBR! It's our FAVORITE! And we can't wait to hit it! Last time we were there, we didn't have the refrigerators, so this time, it'll be a treat! Looking forward to your pics!:thumbsup2

Never got to the store yesterday, and the only day i am not strung out busy is sunday (mothers day) of course the holiday where i am supposed to rest now becomes the day i run around and hope i get it all done. By the way did i mention i got a job. He wants me to start Monday and work tuesday, wednesday and thursday.... by the way i leave Friday. lol just one more thing to pile on the list of must do's.

Congratulations on your job! But just think in almost 7 days you will be in Disney! Didn't you know Mom's never get a day off;) Have a Great Mother's Day!!:yay:

What resort are you guys staying at? We are staying at the VWL for the first time...a big group of 10 (not all in the same villa) thank goodness:faint:

We are leaving Sunday so excited then kids checked the weather and rain every day :( I sure hope that changes. We will be at Port Orleans Riverside May 13-21. Quess I should stock up on ponchos but the wet sneakers are a problem
Our Memorial Day week is the same way. It had been 95 and sunny and then blam. . .85 and thunderstorms all week. . .well I guess we'll just wait until right before, and even then, til that day ;) Though I do hope for short showers if there's got to be some.

So excited we leave tomorrow night! :cool1:

Have a blast!!!

Chuckling, temps are forecasted for about 10 degrees lower Memorial Week now than yesterday, but of course now there are storms. :lmao: I should just throw in the towel for at least two more weeks - there's no telling!

where do you find a forecast that goes farther out than 10 days? what website?

I am home sick again today...yuck!

I don't know what's worse: being at work, wanting to do all my Disney stuff or being sick at home and not having the energy to do any of it.

I feel better than yesterday, but I couldn't imagine sitting at a desk, focusing on numbers, today, so I stayed home.

Maybe I'll feel like doing a little after a nap...

We are staying at the Corrando, We pretty much have it planned out.
Friday - Epcot, Saturday -AK, Sunday MK, Monday HS, Tuesday HS,(for hubby it is his favorite park). I am hoping to meet some from this site I have a mickey print bag that I bought to take to the park I still have to put my disears on it.
We went last summer as a big group 11 of us. We stayed in 3 rooms, and It wasnt bad. I had it all planned out though so everyone knew where to go when.

How does everyone feel about Ponchos?

Not sure if it's worth it to wear won or not.

should we get cheap ones before we leave home, or would the kind that Disney sells work better?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks! The longest I will tolerate (for one of the headliners) is 1 hour, so it's good to know nothing is really reaching that, anyway. :D

2 days...
