****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

How does everyone feel about Ponchos?

Not sure if it's worth it to wear won or not.

should we get cheap ones before we leave home, or would the kind that Disney sells work better?

Any input would be appreciated.

I went to the dollar store and bought some...figured I'd save some $ and not purchase them in the parks and pay a lot more. they take no room in my bag and are light...

I wouldn't even put things at a 5 at the moment. We're doing a lot of rides between park opening & about 2pm & most rides are either 10/15 minute waits or virtual walk ons. We had some REALLY hot days earlier this week & at about 1pm Splash was up to 40 minutes which really isn't bad for 35C heats. Space got as high as 40 minutes briefly but otherwise has been around 20 minutes. Twice I basically walked straight into the loading area.

Soarin' - I haven't seen above 30 minute waits. We did standby one night about 6'ish & it was 30 minutes. Mission SPACE was a walk on - first time I stopped walking I was in the briefing room.

TSM over at DHS we topping out about 40 minutes when we were there. We rode this about 10am one morning when it said 30 minutes, we waited closer to 15 minutes. RnR & ToT were posted at 10 minutes each the afternoon we were there at midday/1pm times.

Haven't been to AK yet so can't say for there, but have done Universal parks the last 2 days & the longest we waited for any ride in either park was 10 minutes including all the coasters.

Wow - lucky you!! We were there last weekend and had terrible wait times. 70+ minutes for Soarin' with all fast passes gone by about 1pm. Splash and Space were both over an hour on Friday evening and Sunday afternoon. Saturday afternoon was extremely crowded in World Showcase - had a hard time battling our way through the crowds. We were in "recommended" parks too! Guess maybe because it was the weekend :confused3

We still had a wonderful time though :thumbsup2 - weather was fantastic (little hot mid-afternoon)

Someone rescue me, I am at home and i decided to watch youtube (I needed a disney fix). I was watching the Beirgarten restarant, I didnt know they had a show. They started playing one of my DH favorite songs and i started tearing up, just thinking we will be there in 6 days with no kids for the Honeymoon we waited 6 years to have. It doesnt seem real yet. It is not my first time there (disneyworld, 2nd time). But we have never gone away alone before. I am sooo excited I just cant wait. Oh and by the way yes i book that for dinner the first night we are there, that was before i knew about the show.

WE LEAVE TOMORROW! There are not enough dancing bananas in the whole world for the way I feel right now!:banana::banana::banana:

We tried the cheap ponchos but finally just went with getting wet. It has never been cold rain so we just enjoy the fact we are in Florida and walk in the rain. This might change the next time we bring DS. We get to be child free this trip. Being 2 he rather be with his grandparents anyway. Planning to take him next year. :thumbsup2

For all of you who are leaving this weekend, I hope that you all have an amazing trip! MissLiz, I hate to hear that you're feeling bad. I hope that you get to feeling better soon. At least you're sick before the trip and not while on the trip.

14 days I'm tidying up all of the rental car ressie that I have made over the last 6 months.:lmao::rotfl2::cool1:

For everyone leaving this weekend - have a great time!!

Thanks, Lisa! I finally managed to leave the house for a bit today. I feel bad trying to stay away from the kids as much as possible, but it's better than getting them sick.

Really? We must have been lucky, the times were from DHS on Friday, MK on Saturday & EPCOT on Sunday.

We did every ride we wanted to do except Splash on Saturday. Buzz, Stitch, Peoplemover, Space (x2), IASM, Pan, Haunted Mansion, POTC & Jungle Cruise between rope drop & 2pm, then we headed back to the resort for the afternoon. We went back at 8pm after dinner (MK was open until 1am) & most things were about 30/40 minute waits. We only rode Carousel.

DS6's birthday party is today!! We have a 30% chance of rain and a half outdoor party, so I'm really hoping the 70% chance of NO rain wins!!!

After that, I'm back into getting ready for the trip! Have to pack in secret and finish a few more sewing projects, and I can relax.

Everyone headed out this week, have a great trip!!! Can't believe we're almost there!

Hey! Just noticed we'll be at BC at the same time! Maybe we'll run into each other at SAB. That's us in my signature, so if you see us running around, give a wave or say hello! :thumbsup2
