We were!!! It was our honeymoon and we were debating whether or not to ride rock'n roller coaster because the line was over an hour.. Suddenly.. a CM came up to us and granted us a dream, he took us through the back of the ride, asked us where we wanted to sit, and when we said the front he took us up there and put us on the next train. When it was over they gave us a ride souvenir picture in a RnR frame. So cool!!

So, all my May buddies, have you paid off your trips yet? Getting close? I think most of us are due in March. Personally, most of my tax return is going to the trip... XD

We were picked. We were playing with our oldest daughter, who was only 1 at the time, in front of Tony's Town Square. A CM came and asked if we would like to meet Cinderella. Took us back and we got to meet her, we were the only ones back there. Then we got a framed photo. It was really sweet.

If I had made the reservations a year or more before the trip like most people seem to, I think we could probably have it paid off by the time we leave but I only made the reservations basically 5 months out so will have less time to save up.

I put the tickets and hotel on a credit card and I'm getting 0% interest for 6 months on it so we're taking advantage of that. I am putting a regular deposit into savings to go toward the trip as well as any windfalls or extra money, pocket change, whatever. I think I should get a small Christmas bonus, possibly a tax refund... When the credit card goes into charging us interest, I'll pay on it whatever we've managed to save up by then. Hopefully it will be most of it.

MAYBE by March! We're off-property, so not quite the same timeline as for on-property folks... but... condo's booked and paid, autotrain booked and paid, CRT booked and paid, other reservations made, but we have a $200 gift card and our Disney Visa Rewards ($240 and counting) to pay for in-park meals and such.

Last outstanding thing for us is the tickets. I went to buy them on base about two weeks ago, and they only had 1.. there are 4 in my family plus we are taking Grandma and Grandpa... I take that as a "blessing in disguise". I'll check back after the 19th, in which case, if they have them, it's still in time to give them to the Grandparents for Christmas, but after my billing cycle on my DRV closes, so I won't get billed until January and have until February 17th to pay (we pay it off every month to avoid the interest, but charge as much of our expenses as possible to bank up the rewards dollars.)

So, come to think of it... Yes, we should have it all paid for, free and clear, by March... and yes, we will be using some tax return money to pay that big fat ticket bill

Just a little... DD was 3 then, and I was expecting my other little girl... We were waiting for the parade or fireworks or something... it was night, that's all I remember, on Main Street, and some shop girls asked my DD3 if she would like to "help get Cinderella ready for the ball" She got to dress the mannequin in the store front, pick accessories, and then they said Bibbidi bobbidi, boo! and threw "pixie dust"... she got a little certificate that said "Fairy Godmother in training" or something like that and a magic wand. It was very cute, and, being pregnant, I cried, of course!

We are paying our off slowly but surely. We are staying on the gulf coast for a week before going to Disney so the tax check might have to help with that.

We are going to pay when we get there! Only reason being because we have room only and don't need to pay till we get there. We have savings account that is slowly building up over time!

My very first ornament ever growing up was an engraved Tinkerbell. I actually have a place on a bookshelf that I keep it hung all year round, but I transfer it to the tree during Christmas.

We watch a Christmas Carol starring Mickey Mouse. We also do the Christmas Sing Along Songs with all the Disney Characters. That's how I learned all the Christmas songs as a child and its how we are teaching our kids.

Hi Everyone! I just booked out 2012 trip 2 days ago. Going May 5-12 staying at the Poly. Though I have been to Disney more times than I can count on my fingers and toes, this will be my first time staying at the Poly and I'm sooo excited!!! This is our 5th trip as a family, previous trips have been ASM, POP, POR and WL. The kids have been asking to stay at the Poly for a few years now and we promised them that as soon as everyone was old enough to enjoy and remember it, we would. The kids don't know yet and I'm not sure when I will be telling them. We are driving down, leaving on May 4th, which is my DS's 7th b-day. I am trying not to make this a b-day trip though because his 4th b-day was a b-day trip and if we make this one about his birthday too, my almost 10 year old DD will flip out. The only concerns I have about this trip is that BTM will be closed. We LOVE BTM and ride it a lot. I hope the kids won't be too upset.

I ended up scheduling my ADR's before I had even booked the trip, I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to make it happen but if I could, I wanted to make sure that we had places to eat. This will be the first trip where we are not doing the DDP, the kids eat like birds and it's really too much food for DH and I. But, I do have ADR's at Crystal Palace (breakfast), Akershus (breakfast), and Ohana(Dinner). I may add one more just not sure where yet.

Have we paid off our trip yet?

Yes! Well, we booked the resort back in September and paid for it. My MIL is paying us back for that. I have $430 racked up in credit card rewards that I'm going to cash out on in April. We're also taking part of it out of our taxes. It feels so good to have the trip covered instead of putting it on credit like we did with the last one. We've been home for over a month now and I still have a bit to pay off on that but so far so good.

Of course, a week after we were home, our stove broke and we had to buy a new one... that always happens! lol...

Well I can't enjoy Rock'n Rollercoaster, Test Track, or the Mountains... but it's okay because... We're expecting baby #2! My son will turn 3 right after our trip, and baby #2 will come in August. We're not telling our families until after 12 weeks, but we found out today, and I'm bursting to tell someone!
