Official May 2011 thread!

DH, DS3 (almost 4) and I will be there May 7th through 14th. We're staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek for the first time. So excited!!!!:goodvibes

We were there this time in 2010 too and the crowds were quite managable but it was HOT!! Gotta remember to drink more water this year as I got a bit sick last year from the heat. :sick:

We have one open day and I'm having a hard time deciding between DHS, Typhoon Lagoon or SeaWorld. DHS would be cheapest since it doesn't require a separate ticket but we did it last year. It was a fun park, especially TSM but not much really pulling me back there. We went to Seaworld last year and thought the park really went downhill...but they have a new shamu show this year so I'm intrigued. Typhoon Lagoon looks like a lot of fun, but we do have 5 pools at Bonnet Creek so shouldn't that be all we need for water fun? Just can't decide!!!:confused3

DOUBLE DIGITS!!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana:Yay!!! It still seems like forever away, but I love planning so much (after the airfare is booked, I hate that part!)

I am in TOTAL agreement with you on that one! Booking the airfare stresses me out more than anything. DD, too. Once it's booked if you got one little thing wrong, you are screwed!! :eek: But the rest of the planning, that's all part of the magic! :tinker:

I have a question for those that visit during the end of May about the Flower and Garden Fesitival:

Do they completely remove all traces of the Festival on the last day? or will they keep it up for a while?

We will be arriving at EPCOT on May 24th, and the festival ends on the 15th - any chance we can still see some of it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was wondering about that, too, since we are arriving May 19. I'd love to see some of it!
I graduate from college on April 30th (my fiance's birthday) and then a little over two weeks later we leave for Disney. :banana:
Now, if my teacher would hurry up and post the grade to the class I just finished. :lmao:
98 days
We now have a disney calendar on fridge to count down and had a 100 days 'til disney party friday night
101 Days till summer vacation and we get to see Phineas and Ferb!! :rotfl: :cool1::banana::cool1::banana::laughing: Can you tell we're excited!!:yay:
We are at day 82. We will be telling the kids tonite. I can't keep it a secret any longer :) LOL. I am itching to tell them. I love talking and planning with them until the time comes.
Anyone else gonna be there on Mothers Day? Doing anything special to celebrate it?
Where can you see these guys at??? My grandson really wants to see them.
Here's what I've heard so far: They will be in DHS beginning sometime in May (I'm not sure an official date has been set yet). They are supposed to be appearing somewhere back around where the 3D Muppet show is. Hope this helps!
We'll be there on Mother's Day again this year, but, sadly it will be our last day :sad2: WAIT! Trying to stick with the happy thoughts ;)....we do have a late flight out that day so I can still plan things to do!
So far we have breakfast booked at Boma (we are staying at AKL) and then I think I'd like to head to MK for a while. Although, I am contemplating skipping the Boma breakfast and heading to Epcot. If we do that we'll hit some rides, have lunch at Via Napoli and of course grab an OGM slushie for me :rolleyes1
...decisions, decisions! Although I don't think either of these choices sound bad, so I won't complain! :blush:
Good luck telling your kids tonight--it's so much fun! I hope it goes over well! Do let us know how it turns out... popcorn::
According to news released a couple days ago they will be at DHS beginning in May at the exit to the Muppet Vision 3-D attraction. I think near where Mater and McQueen are now.
I just had some good luck with my flights! We had 9 people booked to fly in on the 24th, and when I peeked at my flight schedule, they had changed our flights so we would be arriving one and a half hours later! As you know, in Disney time, that's just not okay. They wanted $150 a person to change the flights. I told my mom, and she said "So, it's okay for them to change our flights, but not okay for you to?" She told me to call again, and I did. I told them it was interfering with my reservations at Disney, and they changed all 9 flights to the day before for free! Then we changed one of our packages to the kids stay and play free special, and managed to save $500, and get an extra day out of the deal! Yippy Skippy!
So...I have 3 happy dances for today...
1. My flight changes were free, I got an extra day, and I saved $500!
2. My brother, who is going through a divorce, was given permission by his almost x-wife to take the kids to Disney for a couple days!!! Yay!
-and-
3. Double digits!!!!
You are taking a nearly 1 year old to WDW, right? If so, are you concerned about anything and do you have any tips? We have never taken any of our kids that young before, except for hopefully this year, and my DH is very worried about it. He thinks that our DD will be hard to deal with and too much to handle and that it will spoil everyone's fun.
