Official May 2011 thread!

Taking our first trip to DW in May 2011! Okay, so that's not entirely accurate... I did go when I was 5, but that was 27 years ago, so I'm not sure it counts Real first trip for DH and DD who will be 2 1/2 at the time.

We are renting DVC points and have our reservation booked, doing a split stay, 5/13 through 5/18 at AKL and 5/18 through 5/20 at BLT. SO excited for the trip and having so much fun with all the planning!!!

Jode....we'll be at BLT around the same time!!! I've met a few people on here, and they are just awesome, we should have an open day on the 18th if you wanna try to hook up!!

Going May 29-June 4, 2011. Taking DH's parents and siblings. There will be 9 of us total staying in a 2 bedroom at Kidani Village. Very excited

Me and the pseudo-hubby will be there for the first time celebrating our 7th anniversary together from May 14-25. We will be at POP and looking forward to Star Tours 2 opening!

I'm actually considering doing a PTR but having never done it before, not really sure (1) how to do it and (2) who'd be interesting in it.

We are!!! May 1-9. (The first day we are staying offsite.) We are staying at POP 5/2-5/9! We are so excited!! This is our first WDW trip. DH and I grew up on the west coast and have been to DL a lot. We took our oldest to DL when she was 5. The youngest has not been to either place.

A mother/daughter trip from 29 May - 9 June 2011. First time in a Moderate, staying at POFQ. Already with ADR wishes in hand. Also waiting to see the Fantasmic schedule as I may need to rearrange a few things.

I go thru a travel agent, so I plan, she makes it happen.

May 7th -16th for us, we think. My hubby graduates college on the 7th in the am, and we are going to surprise the kiddos with a plane ride that evening! Then my son graduates preschool on the 17th. Can't wait!!

We booked POP for May 29 - June 4. Couldn't believe they offered free dining for Memorial Day weekend!

Celebrating DD7 birthday at Disney. We've been twice pre Christmas, but we are excited about celebrating a B-day at Disney World. I can't imagine it gets much better than that! She loves Star Wars so we are planning to get there early Sunday Morning to do DHS that day.

Anyone know what parks are most crowded on Monday (Memorial Day)?

Just booked a trip for me, DH, DD's 14 & 5 and DM going 5/8/11-5/14/11, I am so excited I haven't been to Disney since I was 10 and that was 20 years ago. We are staying in 2 rooms at POR with dining plan.

Well, I just found out at Back to School night that there is PALS and DRU testing in Kindergarten in May. I had checked the school's websites weeks ago for Kindergarten testing and didn't see anything. The reason it's not on the website is because they haven't picked the dates yet. They have a 10 day window and will choose 5 of those 10 days to do the testing and they don't have the "10 day window" yet.

Now how am I supposed to plan our May vacation?

Fortunately, I hadn't made any ressies for air/train or hotel yet ... I had an inkling to wait until school started ... just in case. So now I'll wait until they plan testing to book.

Still debating if we are going to spend the money for a few days in Disney World before our cruise. We are taking the May 22nd cruise, and well, I am still in a bit of sticker shock about the "rack rate" prices (hoping for a pin code, hoping for SOME sort of deal to drop, or some kind of special pixie dust!)

Ok we got our booked trip letter in the mail the other day.. I am suprising my kids for this trip too.. I had it with a stack of other mail and accidently left it on the counter... Had to say it was junk mail... Man I hope they bought it..
