I fell into this group unexpectedly! Our friends invited us to use their timeshare at Orange Lake with them knowing what Disney fans we are. But now I am in charge of the planning! I'm a bit stressed out b/c we are a total structured/planning family and I know I have to hold WAY back this time around. But super excited, even though it's the week leading to Easter. We were there over Christmas Week and survived Epcot, but this time will be MK and HS!

I have been sporadically checking dining availability each day to see if any times I would rather have opens for a party of 6. I was just now able to get a Sci-Fi for 7:15 pm for our first HS day. I actually have two other times reserved that day as well so we just need to decide which ones to let go of. But until we decide if we want to hop that day I am going to hold on to them all. Also until we see if the hours change for that day I have no clue if it will still be a post park closing time. If it stays a post park closing time we will probably keep this one over the other two. I know they have been adding an hour to the opening time for HS rather than keeping it opened later so now I just have to wait a while and see if this holds true.

So I was just able to make a reservation at Ogas for the 16th at 7:55 but the park is scheduled to close at seven. Do you think this is a sign they are extending the hours?

Oh boy! I would LOVE IT if park hours were extended!!! Crossing fingers this is a sign! I'll have to make sure my cousin's are constantly checking for reservations.

I snagged a reservation for SciFi Diner today. That’s the only one I really wanted. It’s not quite the time I wanted but it will do.

Ugh. Just found out DH can't come to Disney with us. I knew it was a possibility but I'd really hoped he'd be able to go. This will be our 3rd trip so I know what to expect and how to get around. My boys are 7 (turns 7 on the day we arrive) and 9.5. They fight ALLLLL the time. Bc boys... We always try to spilt them up when they get crabby with each other. Dad takes one, I get the other. That is not going to happen obv. Fortunately, my sister in law, her husband and their 2 boys, 6&12 are also going. So they can help me some when needed. Please tell me I'll be ok. I expect some meltdowns (mine not the kids). Does anyone have any tips to navigating this with 2 kids? I know people do this all the time, but I do not lol. My oldest has ADHD and can be a lot some days so I generally don't venture out to things like this with both of them on my own.

Oh man, that's a bummer. My only suggestions are basically the same as BellesLibrary's. Alternate some higher energy things with lower key things to balance it all out. Let each child help choose things you do and of course basically "listen" to your children's actions and attitudes. Especially as the trip goes on. They can and will get over stimulated. Shoot, I get over stimutaed and cranky by the end of the trips and have to put myself in time outs LOL

Now the 15th-18th are all yellow days with HS not having availability. I really expected the week after (when I will be there) to be the first one to have yellow days.

I am looking for March 20, close to closing. I got 530 which is pretty good. But we are west coasters so 530 may be early for dinner for us. I am also hoping park hours get extended, which I think they will.

I just went in and modified my reservation and was able to get what I wanted. Maybe once you have a reservation is is easier to change than to get a new one. Anyway, I got March 20 at 730. Exactly what I wanted!

Hello everyone!!! We are going to be on property from 3/12 through 3/20...getting super excited. I just wanted to provide some reassurance for those of you looking at the calendar and seeing the reservations fill up. We were last there Thanksgiving week and most of our days before hand were at the "yellow" status. But, we had a wonderful time and never had issues with feeling like we couldn't do what we wanted to do each day. Hopefully they will be extending park hours a bit, but I believe the capacity is at the same level as then. Yes we did have to wait in lines for top attractions, but the lines moved so quickly! Anyways, we are getting close to our trips ...hope everyone has a magical time!!!

We like to stay MK area for MK, and Epcot resorts for Epcot/HS. Walking to parks is the best! We've thrown in AKKV and AKL a few times too. To us, it makes the vacation seem slightly longer.
I don't like "moving day", but this trip we have a rental car so we'll just load the car and hit a park until we can checkin.

it’s like vacation is starting all over again when we move! We love BW just for the 2 parks we can walk to. That’s why we bought there too. SSR for walking to DS, copper creek for the boat ride to MK. Wish AKL would build a skyliner to AK

You'll be surprised how empty the parks can feel at certain points despite being at capacity. I was there in November when it was at the 35% capacity they are alleging now. We rope dropped and were able to get on everything we wanted to, (did SDD and MFSR at least twice) with even taking an hour+ break in the day to shop Galaxy's Edge and take stuff back over to our resort (CBR).

To be honest I didn't miss fastpass at all while we were there.

We'll see what they say next week at the investors meeting as far as capacity is concerned to find out if they've made any additional increases. I'm actually going back March 30 - April 5.

Paid the trip off today. Now there really isn't anything to do except make the shirts I want to make and pack. Oh and finish the second round of ears my daughter and I started but haven't finished.

Unfortunately, I think at least the last 3 weeks of March are going to be beyond busy.... I hope I am wrong but the way I am seeing it and how many people say they are going during those time frames... I expect super busy.

I agree. Going into it with low expectations. We are used to crowds, but also used to doing it with FP. This will be a different experience for sure.

The upside, they just extended some days in February. Some 11pm closings at Epcot. Maybe our busy weeks will see the same.
