***Official March 2021 Thread***

Can’t wait to hear about their reactions!!! So exciting😄
Their last trip was 2018. Our first ride was Space Mtn. My #4 child (I have 4 and it's easier to keep track of them by birth order) did not like it. He didn't ride much the rest of the trip. I was the one to stay with him while everyone else was on the rides. Not a day has passed since that his brother's or sister remind him that he missed out.

Flash forward to January 24. My husband and I had just returned from WDW and we were telling them all about our trip. My #4 child says, "The next time we go to WDW if you remind me of this day then I will ride all the rides." I made him repeat it and we got it on video. Agreed no take backs and shook hands. Little did he know that we already had our March trip planned. Just in case last week we amended the agreement to include US because I already bought those tickets.

So I decided that I'm going to make a video highlighting all our WDW trips and at the end I will add this video of him with an announcement that we are going to WDW. We will do it a few days prior so they can make sure to pack things they want but really because we need to leave for the airport at 4:30am.

I am so excited for them and can't wait to see their faces.

Southwest changed our flights AGAIN. Third time. Still arriving at the same time, but leaving Orlando eight hours later. 😬😬😬

United has changed both of ours too! Luckily only an hour difference for each so not much changes. But I keep waiting for more emails....

Delta just changed our return to an hour earlier. Hopefully no more changes. We purposely wanted a later flight back home. By the way, I could fly to Europe for the same price as the current cost of our flight from Michigan. Glad we booked it months ago. Flights from Detroit to Orlando during March/April are ridiculous.

Now the 15th-19th as well as the 29th and 30th are all yellow days for Disney Resort guests and park tickets but not annual passholders. I'm still wondering if they will up capacity by mid March. Anyone know when they may announce that?

They don’t announce when they up capacity. Last time they did it, Chapek disclosed that capacity had been increased during a scheduled meeting with the shareholders and it had been increased for an undisclosed amount of time already.

Next earnings report for the company is Thursday. May hear something then if they choose to share it. But the fact that 2 buckets of tickets are yellow during that week isn't going to cause them to just up and increase capacity.

They can shuffle around from the APs for during the week to allow more Resort Guests or park ticket holders as it gets closer but otherwise it's going to be that way. It's also only DHS that is unavailable for any of those dates.

You are there the same week I am so I hope not :earseek:But looking at the flights on southwest from where I am flying out of, the flights aren't booked full yet so hopefully they won't be.

That's what I had read and mentioned last week that they could shift ticket group numbers around. I just couldn't remember if they actually announce when they up capacity or not.

I keep looking at my flights too and I see there are still seats available so fingers crossed it stays that way. There are 7 of us, and only 1 will still be 6 so family boarding isn't going to help much. I really hate to pay $25 each to get early bird check in, but with 3 adults and 4 kids I don't want to take the chance I'll be separated from my kids.

Yeah they haven't officially made announcements about it when they do it, just have casually mentioned that they were operating at X capacity and then it becomes the news.

I already purchased it when I bought our tickets. I was just going to do the return flights because I didn't want to have to be in the park and remember to do check in 24 hours before our flight. However, I decided since I was just paying fro two of us that I could "splurge" and get it for the flight down as well. Now I don't have to worry about it for either flight. I think ours was just $20 per person per flight so it was only $80 extra for me.

I wouldn't mind that, but it'd be 300 for us RT.

It's all DHS though. Still showing availability for the other three parks. My daughter's friend is coming wish us and needs to get her ticket though so she can book her park reservations.

I can say the flights for SLC during our week of Spring Break March 27- 2 is packed flights... I keep saying it will be busy but I guess we will see...

Is there any way to pay your resort balance early? I hate how every time I book they only let me pay the deposit (when I've budgeted for the whole thing) and then by the time the trip rolls around I forget I have a large balance I haven't budgeted for! (I know, I should be better at this.) I saw BamaMom said she paid her trip off so I'm wondering if I can call and ask them to charge me for the full balance now? (Our trip is in 31 days).

You should be able to make payments online. If you log into MDE, go under My Plans, and then under your resort reservation there should be a link to Make Payment. You can either pay the full balance or a lesser amount.
