.:Official March 2015 thread!:.

Finally booked a trip for my 25th Birthday!!! SO EXCITED. It good because I don't think I could have waited a whole year for our next trip!!
Dates: March 23-30.
Where: Port Orleans: Riverside (FIRST TIME) in a Royal Guest Room!!!

So glad I get to join the March party!!!:cool1:

Just popping in to say I'm getting really excited about our trip :yay: Even being so busy getting ready for Christmas I can't get the trip off my mind :)

My FP day is Jan. 4th and after 2 trips with FP+, I'm looking forward to NOT being too concerned about making them in advance since this trip is just DH and I. I'm going to make them anyway because, well, why not?? But times aren't as important and it won't matter as much whether we get as many rides or not (except for a couple. Okay, maybe like 6 lol).

I hope after the NY everyone starts posting more of their plans!

Heading to the World Feb28- March 5!!! Me,DS 7 and His Dad. Staying at AOA in a Lion king Suite!!!

We are staying at Pop Century March 1-11!
We have two rooms since there are 7 adults. Im SOOO excited.
Almost time to pick FP+:cool1::yay:

I'm so excited, I'm doing the mother of all solo theme park trips in March. I'm starting at Disneyland California, then going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, then Universal Orlando, then Disneyworld, then Washington DC (no theme parks there but I worked in politics so it's pretty exciting for me anyway!) then back to Disneyland for a couple more days before coming back home to Australia. Basically I'm doing a mega happy dance.

I have three nights booked at one of the deluxe hotels at universal, three nights at Pop Century, and I'll probably stay at the Motel 6 near Disneyland. Busch. Gardens not booked yet as their vacation packages won't be released until early next year.

I'm so excited!!!

Veteran Disney planner, was going to skip this year, as my family was truly turned off with the new Disney bands and we felt it was time to explore new destinations.

However, my oldest DD made varsity cheer as a freshman and she will be competing in Disney March 19-23rd at the ESPN center.

Heads Up: if you wish to avoid cheerleaders, you may want to skip All Star Sports and CBR, for this time period.

I am going March 19-25, with my middle DD, for a Mother & Daughter trip. It does not cost too much, to bring her.

I did not want to bring both of my other DD's, as it is more pleasurable with one as there will be no bickering. LOL!

I usually do not do hoppers and do 12-14 day trips, due to the short time span, we are doing hopper and we are doing the dining plan. :cheer2:

Even though, I am not a fan of the magic band system, I do love Disney. So we will enjoy our trip but, we will be spending the bulk of our budgeted vacation money this year going to NY, NH and Cape Cod this year rather than Disney as we have for the past 8 years.

I really enjoyed being a part of the FB August group and the Disboards August group, so I have already joined both for this trip.

I guess, I need a new signature...

Happy New Year, Everyone! We're all going THIS YEAR!

: D

With the new promo, I'm now debating switching our reservation from Port Orleans Riverside, river view, to Wilderness Lodge, standard view. It's $500 more total. I might cancel our IllumiNations fireworks cruise to help cover; I haven't gotten any interest in sharing it, yet, so now would be the time.

I did it! I changed to Wilderness Lodge, but Woods view, from POR, river view. I'm so excited to have a balcony.

I have canceled the illuminations cruise, I just couldn't swing the full price if we didn't get anyone to join.

I can't believe it's so close now!

:cool1:

Going March 3-7th staying at POR. Did the fast passes last night (our window opened Jan 2nd) and had a really hard time getting on a midnight (really 9pm Pacific time for us fortunately). It then finally opened at 1 am Eastern, so after I finished freaking out for an hour I was finally able get A&E at 3:00 on our last day! DS (5) and DD (3) are going to loose their minds. Have ADR for CRT for 5:30 that day too so now the planning is done and just have to cross our fingers that they get CRT back open on time!

Happy New Year, Everyone! We're all going THIS YEAR!

: D
.

YAY!!!:banana: 62 days for us!!! We make our FP's on Sunday. Not as big a deal as on our last 2 trips when the kids were with us, but I'm still going to make them Sunday. Gives me something to do and will make the trip seem closer lol!

Hi Disney Queenie, I saw you over in the March FB group :). I was actually part of last August's Disboards group and the FB Aug. group, too. I posted a lot on the Aug. Disboards thread but not much in the Aug. FB group. Lovin' the March FB though!

add us to the list! So excited to head down on March 4th for Spring Break.
March 4-8 at Caribbean and March 8-14 at Boardwalk

March 2nd through 6th for me!! :hyper: Staying at AKL, visiting AK, MK and Epcot in that order, and possibly HS on my arrival day as well!

I've been to the World just once last year, also in March. Stayed at Pop Century. This year I'm celebrating my 30th bday so this is my present to myself!

Haven't made my ADRs yet but here are places I'm considering:

- 50's Prime Time Cafe
- Artist's Point
- Rose and Crown
- San Angel
- California Grill

And I will definitely be hitting Boma and Jiko in AKL.

Very interested in meetups or dining with other DISboarders!

I requested to join the March FB group - can one of you add me please? :thumbsup2

I absolutely loved my November 2012 group and made some great friendships on there.

Hi Ariane37!:wave2: I looooooooved our August group and the March group seems active too. :yay: I love planning with peeps! Plus, my hubby just does not want to hear it, especially this trip since he is not going.
I never thought I would ever be in Disney with out my whole family and it is going to happen twice in one year. Weird for me, but it is happening. In August we were all together, but my oldest and DH had to fly back early due to my DD's sport cheerleading. Again, due to cheer, I will be going with just two of my DD's. The cheerleader will never really ever be together. I found the cutest Cheer bows for Disney that I am going to get her. Fun!
Paid for my flight, but Christmas poor right now...so I will have to wait until my next paycheck to put a deposit down on my room and tickets. I will not miss my 60 day booking window though.

I am not going to pay for my dining until a week before, due to low funds but, I will be able to squeak it in.
No after Christmas sales for me I guess:rolleyes1
Ack, I wish I was rich! Just saying:upsidedow

Anyone have information on the flower and garden festival?

I searched around for some links for the festival this is some of what I found:
http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2014/...-garden-plus-food-festival-details-announced/

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/epcot/events/ep-flower-garden.htm

It seems like you will have to read up on 2014, to see what it will be like, but I am sure the closer we get to March, the more information will come are way. :thumbsup2
found another link that was interesting

LOL don't we all?? Have you entered the January trip a day sweepstakes? I know it's a longshot but like the NY Lottery used to say, "Hey, you never know"!!!

Gymbomom, I'm pretty sure I responded to something you wrote in the March FB group :):) I recognized your dates as you are checking in to BWV the day before we check out. You have a nice long trip planned! This one is quick for us, a little anniversary getaway without the kids. I've never done such a quick trip - only 3.5 park days - not sure if I can handle it :rotfl: Luckily we've decided to go down again for Thanksgiving so at least I know when my next longer trip is!
