Official March 2013 thread

Officially booked 3-1 at OKW
cruise 3-2 to 3-9
3-9 to 3-14 at VWL

:woohoo:

OP here - the official plan from the band is now marching at Universal so 2 days at Universal and just 1 day at the MK...and our kids won't be marching at the MK. :(

However we will stay after the band goes home and spend the rest of the week at WDW. Just starting to look for airfare.

We're staying offsite at Wyndham Bonnet Creek - just booked yesterday for March 8-20!!!

We just decided to do a spring break trip instead of going in June. Hoping the weather won't be as hot as it is in the summer. We'll be there from March 23-29, and we will hopefully be staying at POR.

I can't decide on what we are going to do... its just me and the hubby and our trip is just tentative now anyway (we are trying to get pregnant, so if that happens I have no idea what our plans will be..)

We want to go on a cruise, but also have some days at the parks.. I am thinking a 3 day cruise (thurs-sun) then check into wdw and do the parks mon-fri??? thoughts, I've never done a disney cruise so anyone who has done both, whats your strategy??

good luck on getting pregnant... lots of baby dust!

Band plans change again...2 days at Univ, 2 days at WDW and marching at Univ. and the MK!!! Woo-hoo....

Looking at Pop or CS or POFQ....hoping for some kind of deal the week before Easter...a long shot but still a hope..

Starting the search for airfare....

We are going March 24 to April 6! Staying just my ds(Who will be turning 10) and I for his birthday at CBR Pirate Rooms then my dh, ds15, ds15's friend, dd8, Dm, & Dd will be flying down and we are moving to POR!!!:banana:

Only 9 months now - woohoo!! Still have to wait to figure out our exact date - week of March 11th for sure, just have to narrow down our arrival day.

We're looking at the Poly or Contemporary (I think so far we're leaning towards the Poly) - we loved POR but while we were waiting late one night for a bus after a loooong MK day, dh said we should stay on the monorail next year to save time...he's usually a "let's save $$" guy, so I agreed the second he said it ;)

It looks like we are going 3/1-3/8 staying at Poly. Anyone have experience with first week of March? Crowds?

Looks like you'll be there the week before us - we have most of our dinners figured out and are staying at the Poly too. We were there this year the 2nd week of March and found it busier than we're used to (we're usually end-of-January people) but not unmanageable. I'm guessing the first week should be a lot better crowd-wise.

Great, thanks. Have you done the luau? I have most dining figured out but am back and forth on that one.

We've never done the luau - up until last year we'd only gone in Jan/Feb and found it too cold to eat outside. It's on our list of things to try on our 2014 trip :)

I've done the luau twice. I like it.
The show is fun......the food isn't bad.
I have been in Jan and Oct. And it was great weather both times.
I would do it again...........but a lot of people don't like it.

Just booked last night! We'll be there 3/9-3/16, staying offsite at a townhome in Windsor Hills. It'll be myself, DH, DS9 (10 then), DS7 (8 then), my DSis, DMIL, and DFIL. It's tentative on the in-laws right now and my DSis will be with us for 3 nights only. It'll be a little tight in the townhome for 3 nights, but we'll all fit.

We are doing water parks and more option and will have already used one of our theme park admissions before this trip (Fl resident with 6 month expiration on fun pass), so we'll have 2 theme park days, and up to 3 water park days. Can't wait!

Just booked Animal Kingdom (jumbo house) for 7-11 waiting for seven month window then will change ressies over to SSR (silly DVC rules).:rotfl2:

THe earlier you go in March the better. We were there the 6-15 this year, and it got worse and worse crowd wise as the days ticked by. I will say though... We had a good plan and the crowds didn't bother us much at all.

We must have been there at the same time? We were at POFQ March 6-15th. :)
