*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

I'm so sorry to hear about your knee mamamac! Happy to hear that you were able to reschedule though!

We might be a little crazy since we don't have enough time, in my opinion, to spend at the parks, but I just booked a minivan for one day so we could take the kids to the ocean for a bit. They have never been and it is the ONE thing that DH wants to do one afternoon. We will try to hit Epcot in the morning, head to the beach for a while, then head back to Epcot that evening, which will be open until midnight that day. I hope it all goes smoothly! I found a code that saved us $100 on the rental, so how could I pass that up?! :woohoo:

Well, someone needs to remove me from the March list. We had to cancel because I blew my knee out and need to have surgery. At first I was completely bummed (actually insert the biggest and meanest expletive you could ever imagine), but I know it was the right thing to do. So now we are heading out May 3rd and it will be even better! Staying at the WL, with a parkhopper, with the DP. Now I am super, super excited! Who cares about the bum knee! We are doing Disney the right way!!! Come on May 3rd!!!

Sad & happy for you!

I sure hope it warms up a little before we arrive. I am terrible about stalking the weather, even though I am sure it will change 100 times in the next 2 weeks. LOL!

Hey SMWfamily! We love Tony's! Last year we had a 6:45 reservation, and we were seated outside on the porch. Really nice enjoying Town Square. My son ordered the steak, and it had an awful lot of fat on it. Wouldn't order that again. But everything else was really great! To top off a great meal, my husband was just paying the bill, when a waitress came out, and explained we would all have to stay seated and couldn't move once the lights went out. Yep. Great seats for Spectromagic.:woohoo:

We have our ressie for this trip already! Made our countdown chain, and anxiously awaiting Mickey Mail!

Sorry about your knee mamamac.. but luckily you can reschedule. Try not to take it too hard on your knee and remember that they do have free courtesy wheel chairs at all the parks in case you should need it. They're the push-me pull me style.

I have several park bags that I take with me. I have a LLBean sling style back-pack with lots of compartments. I just carry it in front of me or at my feet for rides. Otherwise, I have a large Mickey bag and matching smaller Mickey bags from Avon that I usually take. I am not a light packer. I take into the parks: my wallet, a chapstick, individually wrapped tushie wipes, Tide stain stick, kleenex, aspirin and Tylenol, bandaids, park maps, park schedule, itinerary print out, my camera, feminine care as needed, sunscreen, bug repellant (as needed), sunglasses, a pen and a mini spiral notebook in case I need to write anything down, the latest edition of ParkPerks (DVC guide to discounts) and the little Annual Passholders discount booklet. If it is night time, I often will have some light stick or light spinners. My husband also will usually carry a backpack if we need to bring in jackets for later. That can also be placed in a park locker if its something we're saving for later. I have the different sized bags depending on what else I might need to tote with me. We also often will take our Resort Refillable mugs with us. They're not refillable in the parks, but we will often dispense a bottled drink into it for ease of use. Oh, and we usually pop a water bottle or two or three into our bags. The no-bag entrance line is a foreign place to me.

I was doing the same thing this morning! 45 degrees down there - no good! I hope it warms up too...

18 days until we leave!!

Thanks for all the tips on bags. I will probably take them all and use a different one everyday. Unless something jumps out at me in the next 30 days!

We will be there 14-21! It will be my son and daughters first trip. Going to Disney for 5 days, Kennedy Space Center and a couple other little 'touristy' things.
I am excited to be ramping up the planning!

we are going at almost the exact same time as you, March 14 thru the 22nd. Have fun!

We're leaving in 18 days too! :goodvibes :cool1:

I'm really hoping for 70's and 80's for the weather, because here in Milwaukee I'm freezing my rear off!! I could use a bit of warmth!!

Weather.com says it's going to be hitting 71 degrees toward the end of the 10 day I am really hoping it keeps getting warmer from there. Anything over 75 and I will let DS swim.

You know I never even thought of the weather down there. I am sitting here with about 3 feet of snow outside so if its above freezing I think I will be good. I am hoping I can wear shorts though. What is the normal temps in March? We always go for Christmas and I know one year it was 80 and the next barely 60.

We were at Disney one March years ago and it was freezing cold, windy--just yucky. We bought sweats and braved it. We still had a great time, even though the weather did not cooperate ( the crowds were low:goodvibes)

I'm really hoping it warms up by the time I head out there (March 26-30th). I live in Louisiana and it's been soooo cold lately! BRRR!! I usually like cold weather (because I'm used to the heat and humidity here), but I'm ready for it to warm up!

Hope right along with the rest of you all that this trip isnt going to be a cold one. That would sure be a bitter pill to swallow, wouldnt it..:headache:

Just wanted to jump on here and share things that I've been doing. lol I just finished packing for my three youngest kids. :cool1: Only thing I have to do still is get them all bathing suits (hope it gets warm enough for them.) I also have to pack a couple pairs of jeans too. I'm hoping that we won't need them, but you never know. I'm so excited that I got them done.

We are also driving down. I have picked up the TV/DVD players that hook up to the back of your head rests in the cars. We bought Space Buddies, G-Force, and Sponge Bob season six (part one) for the DVD player. I also picked up a bunch of hand held games from the store (half off). Then today I found a travel game of sorry. The kids love playing it, so I thought it would be perfect to keep them busy for a while. :cool1: I'm hoping to minimize the whining for the drive to and from. :rotfl:

Anyone else almost done packing?

My daughter and I are so excited we've been packed for a few weeks :rotfl: Of course since we are in Michigan, it's not like we'll need anything we've packed
