*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

I'll probably pack the weekend before we go. We leave on a Wednesday. I want to check the 10 day forecast. I just don't know about the weather. :confused3
Do I take mostly shorts, capris, or jeans. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, or tank tops ?
I'm assuming that time of year, will be a combination of everything !

 One month, and two weeks to go !!

I have gone in March before. March 1990, 2005, 2008. March like April has weather all over the place. In 1990 I got sunburned waiting in line. I remember it being very hot. We've also had alot of rain in March. Bring layers. You may be cold in the morning and evening but very warm during the day. Bring an umbrella (small) or poncho if you don't mind being inside plastic. I hate ponchos! I would rather be wet, as long as its warm. I was very surprised in July when it was sooooo hot... and the rain started.. and the rain itself was actually quite cold. It was weird. So be prepared for it all.

Just think - in just one week, we'll all be able to say we're going to Disney World NEXT MONTH!! :thumbsup2[/QUOTE]

That's AWESOME!! Thanks for the smile!! :rotfl:

We (dd13 dd16 my mom) and myself, will be there March 25-April 1. While I am SO excited to go, I am not looking forward to the crowds at all. We are November people normally, but dd16 is playing with her orchestra at DHS, so Spring break here we come. Please tell me it's not THAT bad. Right??

Just book my trip, Whoo! Hoo!:cheer2:

I'm going to visit my mom in south Florida during March Break with DS11 and DD8 and we decided to drive up to WDW for 3 days - 2 nights. We'll be staying at AKL, Savannah View with Bunks. The kids are looking forward to see the animals from the room but they're especially excited about the bunk beds...:)

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You :flower3:....you did put a smile on my face as I look out my window and see the snow falling.....Can't wait to be in the Florida sun :woohoo:

  Just had to pop on to say only 7 more weeks!!

Can you tell I'm just a little excited?

Susan

O'Joy....We leave on March 28th (after I finish a day at work) and return on DD 3rd Birthday April 5th.
I'am ready for the crowds , I won't let them get me down !!! I did it last year. Made sure I packed ALOT of patience. Not on a mission to conqueur WDW...I'll do it nice and slow. Having a 3 yr old will help, like bedtime at 9 pm.

What I don't get to see this time I'll save for the next trip. I just can't wait til DD realizes we are going to WDW !!!:lovestruc

Looking at everyones tickers reminds me to get my large tushie on the treadmill and lay off the potato salad. I don't want to have to look at another set of photos from atrip with me looking like a whale.

I know you posted this a while ago, but I'm staying at ASMu March 7-12! Maybe I'll see you there! lol

Our dates are similar to yours. We will be their 9-15. But we are camping at FW. I'm only saying anything because I live really close you where you are. :lmao: Are you flying or driving? Any children going with you?

We're hitting the problem of "what the heck to pack".. id like to think it would be shorts weather during the day but I cant help but think to pack a jacket or couple of sweatshirts as well for the evenings. Also, any good ideas for a long car ride especially with a 5 year old? coming form kentucky, its a 12 hour drive for us.. whee!

 Wow, at that point I had 6 months to go !
Now I have 6 weeks !:lovestruc
But, since then we have changed to CBR, with the 4/3 deal !!!
But, ASMu looked like fun, especially the movies at the pool at night !

Ok now its a reality. We are really going. :goodvibes

I got my Passporter in the mail.... I got the 2010 one on Amazon for 16 dollars. I think its worth much more than that actually. I think it will prevent SO MANY bickering sessions between hubby and I. He LIKES to be overplanned and over educated about things, meaning he must know the location time and cost of everything and WHY we are doing something rather than something else. However, he rather do his own thing than help plan the trip. So I will plan and plan and then he will want what we call "status reports" and then he gets huffy if I don't have all the answers memorized for him! This Passporter, with all the highlighted areas and notes and stuff can be his "talk to the book". lol Ill just say "consult the Disney bible" when ever he says something like, "ok what park do we have planned for Wednesday? What time does DD have to be to Bibbiti Bobbiti boutique? Why did you schedule Morracan food when I requested Mexican? What time should I set the alarm for...etc." I will just say CONSULT THE BOOK! lolololol. ( evil laugh)pirate:

Hello.... this is my first visit to the March trip board. Hello Everyone!!! We are DVC members and our last visit was July 09. Seems so long ago! :lmao: We're going down with another family to celebrate our sons making Ealge Scout. they're not done yet, but they're all in the home stretch. They must finish in the next couple weeks as they turn 18! We're staying in a 2 bedroom villa at SSR.

This is such a coincidence. We will be there 3/7-10 but also are hoping to have Eagle projects behind us. Our twin boys will be 18 on 3/23. Hoping to get them completed in the next couple of weeks. OMG trying to get 2 projects completed. Looking forward to a couple of days in "my happy place"

holy crap, I have been on the much slower and lamer March thread. So glad to finally find this one.

We are staying at the Poly march 6-14. We are making a stop off before our WDW vacation starts to Spring Training. This will be the first time that my husband has been to see Spring Training and it is going to be a great way to start our vacation.

Go nationals!

We will be driving from Michigan. (yahoo maps says that it is 18 hours... it probably will be much longer with so many kids.) We will be bringing DVDs that they have never seen. That will keep them busy for about 3 or 4 hours. I picked up those books that they have at the Disney store. They have clear markers or water markers and you color on the paper to make things appear then when it drys (I assume that means it is water) they can do it all over again. I have some snacks already bought and set aside. I found a car game for little ones of finding different kinds of signs. Kinda like the alphabet game but with pictures instead of letters. (I know my kids will get into that one and it's one that I can sort of play while driving, because I'm looking around at the signs anyways.) I also picked up some Disney stuff from the local dollar store that I will give them when they start to get antsy. They are planning an trading pins in Disney too, so we will be handing out the trading pins for them in the car and they can trade with each other in the car for a little bit. The rest of the time I'm hoping that they sleep... :rotfl: (Oh and I printed out Disney Coloring pages from the internet)

whoo hoo!! We got Mickey Mail today!!!! makes it feel so real now!!! Hope Feb. 26th hurries up and gets here fast!!!
How long does it take to get the Mickey Mail? We payed off our trip about two weeks ago... I'm starting to get nervous.

so excited to see the countdown days! Our first family trip in March!!:hippie:

This is going to be our first family trip to WDW too! Seems to be a good time to go. I always use to go to Florida in March when I was a kid and it was always really nice. :goodvibes
