*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

How funny to see you all posting about your stressful dreams - I had my first one last night!!

I saw the crowd predictions posted for the 2nd week of March, doesn anyone know what they are predicting for the first week? I assume it will be on the low side, just wondering what "they" are officially predicting. :D

Hey!

Just thought I'd join in the fun and let you all know I'll be over at WDW from the 2nd to the 17th of March. :)

:cool1:   :cool1:

Got loads of cool extras planned for this trip like an Illuminations cruise, Cirque tickets, Tickets to watch the Braves vs the Phillies at WWoS, and flying first class all the way!

It's gonna be a fun one!

Hey guys - I really haven't nailed down any plans yet, so I'm hoping for a little input. It's the first couple of days that are giving me a quandry...
So, we arrive on a Tuesday (the 16th) around noon and will be meeting up with DH at his conference hotel (Hilton Bonnet Creek) for that night. We all move to the YC on Wed (St. Patty's). Tuesday night, I'll have the kids on my own, and want to stay out of his hair, and wondering what to do. Generally, I'd do DD, but I'm wondering if maybe I should do a show?
Then, there's Wednesday...i'm hesitant to go to a park since we''ll have to check out/check in etc. I thought of maybe taking DS(6) to the GF pirate cruise, (while DH handles the hotel stuff) but have never done this before, so Im not sure. But the that still leaves the rest of the day. PLUS it is St Patty's - we'd like to celebrate that a little, at least. :confused3 Maybe we should do a park that day...phooey, I just don't know. Help!

You actually drop your kids off at the pirate cruise so if you did that, you would have some time by yourself. My son LOVED it (he went when he was 5) so if it is something they want to do, go for it. But if they can't be by themselves, don't try it. I tried the tea party for my daughter and they had to come find me because she just cried the whole time.

I have to say that one of my favorite times was taking my kids to Magic Kingdom for evening magic hours when my husband had to stay in the room (it wasn't a favorite time for him - he was sick!). But we had so much fun riding the rides together.

If you get the waterpark & more option, maybe take the kids to Disney Quest? Or just head to DTD and try the balloon, shop, check out the sights, and enjoy any nighttime entertainment. DTD has an Irish restaurant too for St. Patty's day!

Good luck!

Then there are about 8 more 7s in a row... :rotfl:

Anyone know what a 7 day feels like? Our first day is a four day so I'm excited about that. We will be going to Epcot. Is MK really busy on a 6 day? :rotfl: I have all these numbers but really they mean nothing to me. Especially since I haven't been since I was a kid. Maybe they will help me figure out my next vacation after I see what each number really feels like.

If your DH is going to take care of the hotel then you could go to a park and if you were going to meet up later then he could just come to the park you are in and meet you there. Then your DS doesn't have to miss out on a park day. Or you could go to a park in the morning then take a break in the afternoon and go back after dinner. Or just take the day off and do DTD...

The GF pirate cruise sounds like a great idea if your son can be alone with out being scared. But only you know your son well enough to say if that is true or not.

Good luck! I'm sure you will have a blast either way.

I pay attention to those...but not too much. I mean to me and 8 would be extremely busy...but I don't ever feel it's AS busy as the corresponding numberber. I mean look at what 8 means...

8 means that peak rides will be over an hour?

Anyone know what a 7 day feels like?

Our first trip was all 9's, and I honestly didn't think it was bad at all. Got there at rope drop, used fast pass, no long waits anywhere. So, I'm thinking a 7 would be easy...and would there even be anyone there on a 4? LOL It's probably relative. Like the varying reports of how painful childbirth is. :rotfl:

Hey everyone

Just jumping in as my ticker has switched to under 2 months today so I am super excited :cool1:

I am coming over from the UK and must admit I am slighlty worried about your spring break crowds

We arrive on the 19th March for a 14 night stay. We always hit the parks at rope drop and will use Fast Pass when we can so hopefully we'll be fine

Not long now folks :yay:

Whew! The last time I posted to this thread, I was on page 5! I still don't see anyone else going to the FWC. Will we be there alone? :confused3

I've been doing a happy dance everyday since we hit the 60 day mark. I'm so excited, it's all I talk about now. And no, I don't particularly care if the current subject has to do with Disney or not, I just throw it in when and wherever I can! :goodvibes

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY! :woohoo:

Wahoo! We're at the six week mark today!

BTW, AllesonWonderland, how did you get the font on your ticker so big? I notice we have the same one, but your wording is larger? I'm straining to read mine.

Well I'm thinking, that for our family it will not feel busy at all. The theme park (cedar point) nearest us has waits that are up to four hours long for the new rides. The older coasters are still over and hour at most times. I had a season pass there for years and I got use to the crowds. So I'm sure it will be a lot like childbirth... :rotfl: Maybe it will be just like they gave me meds so it won't seem as bad. :lmao: (I'm sorry I'm really cracking myself up with that comment.)

I think it depends on how many letters it's trying to put on the line. Mine just has less characters than yours. When you get to single digit days I bet it will be big. ;)

Okay.. I want to get some opinions for some of you that have gone before. We will be arriving very early in the morning on a day that the crowds are suppose to be a four. We were planning on going to Epcot for our first day and they have EMH in the morning. Would any of you go to a different park with a four as the crowd number? We are going to MK when the crowds are a seven, but we will be doing MK twice (both times at seven and one of the days being EMH evening). I'm starting to second guess our original plans. I just hope the next month and a half fly by for me, because I might end up with all new everything by then... :rotfl:

We have never been to WDW, so it is a first for our family. In fact I am the only one that has been before and I was maybe seven or eight at the time. I just want everything to go smoothly... which probably explains all of my crazy dreams lately. I had one again last night. It was about ordering CS food. We got a Double hamburger and I had an extra bun packed away in my backpack. Because we thought we would share the hamburger. But no one wanted the crappy bun that it came on. :rotfl: It is as crazy as it sounds.. I've really read a little to much info on these boards. But I'm sure that it will all help out once we are there. :dance3:

Omg I am so excited!! My husband just surprised us with a Disney vacation on March 14! So I hope you don't mind another official March member! :goodvibes

We are going March 14 to 21staying at OKW with our timeshare. I am trying to figure out if we want to drive down or fly. We can't get any plane tickets until we get our income tax refund. Trying to figure out the pros and cons of driving and flying. Our DS is 7 and DD will be 4 when we go down. I can't wait go, we were down there in Dec of 08 and had a blast. The kids know we are going but don't know exactly when we haven't told them the exact dates, they just know that we will be going sometime this year. I can't wait to start packing.

We're going the same time, we're from Jersey and we decided to drive this time. I want to start packing now! Lol

You are such a great sister! We'll be in MK Monday the 29th...I'll be sure to wave if I see ya! LOL! I'll be with a bunch of kids running back and forth between Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. :goodvibes

Definitely! LOL! I'll be the one attempting to ride Splash Mtn three times in a row! It's my favorite ride! :yay:
