Suse66 - unfortunately, I can say "been there done that". What a nightmare!! Our bank was wonderful also, but it does take a little time, police reports, changing passwords frequently and patience to remedy the situation. Our incident happened a year ago and since then, we keep a very close eye on all accounts. Hope it all works out for you and you can enjoy Disney World stress free!!

Last year mine came 3 weeks out. However if you don't get it by the time you hit day 20 I would call Magical Express and tell them to send another packet.

The castle will be covered with scaffolding Studio backlot tour at DHS reopens the day before my trip...whewww.. I had that on my touring plan. I'm sad about the castle not looking pretty for our trip photos. What also concerns me ... I was listening to the DISpodcast and the man mentioned that the Rivers of America was drained of water and that the Riverboat and Tom Sawyer's Island would be closed through May 5th. I re-played it several times and he did say May. I don't see this on the refurb. list or the allears.net rehabs list. What's the deal? Anybody know?

Well, I've been lurking, but we are heading to WDW on March 6-13th. We are staying at POFQ for the first time. It will be me (26), DH(27), DD(3), and SIL(18). I am very excited!!

I hear ya....we are going to be there on the 23rd with my family and my ILs. We are celebrating both of my DD's b-days and my FIL's retirment while there

We are driving too...but our TA said that we would be getting a packet. I guess we will have to call her and make sure we didn't hear her wrong. We have been waiting for a while now though.

The Rivers of America are filled back up... unless they are planning on draining them again? I really hope that the scaffolding isn't to bad on the castle. It is our family's first time going and I would really like to get some family pictures with the castle in the background.

On a side note: We went to the casino here today. While waiting for our elevator back to our car I looked down at the floor and there was a hidden mickey at my feet. I said 'hey look, there's a hidden Mickey!' and the lady next to me looked down and seen it too, like she was a fan too. She probably thought I was crazy. My DH just laughed at me... I guess he is use to me doing things like that.

I was bummed last month when I saw on the Mousesavers newsletter that the backlot tour would be closed during our visit. Ah well, we did see it last time, so it's just the rest of my family that's missing out.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the positive thoughts in regards to my bank situation yesterday. It's all being resolved and everything should be back to normal by next week.

Now I just have focus on the fact that it's only 39 days til Disney!!!

We will be at WDW at the same time, but will be at AKV-Kidani. I've never stayed at POFQ, but I did stay at the old Dixie Landings and loved it. Have a wonderful time!

So I'm going to Disney for a work conference and we couldn't manage to get my husband and kids down at the same time due to school and work and such. But I did plan on a couple days extra so I could enjoy the parks during the day (and yes, I'm going to the parks every night after the conference!). Anyway, we went to dinner last night and my kids were occupied with their food and the music was loud in the restaurant. I put my hand up so the kids couldn't see what I was saying and I whispered to my husband, "I'm going to DisneyWorld in 40 days!" My son screams, "WHAT??? You go to DisneyWorld in 40 days???" It was hilarious. They do know I am going, I don't keep it a secret from them but I haven't talked about it in front of them because I don't want them upset that they can't go. Of course, we are planning a summer family trip so that makes it a bit better since they know they are going in a few months anyway.

hey repeat offenders,,, This first timer has a question. I was wondering how you get a particular room at your resort. The package I bought doesn't allow me a "preferred room" at CBR. however, I know where I want to stay, Building 35 in South Trinadad... I would like to request a corner room on the first floor... now, how do I go about doing that? Do I call my travel agent and have HER do it, or call Disney directly... or the Resort directly? Any advice would be more appreciated. I can't believe how fast the time is flying. We got our batch of pins from Ebay today, 20 of them for 19 dollars. It didn't come with a Lanyard, Oh well. We'll grab one at the resort for the kids. They pins are all pretty good, a couple have little Mickeys hidden in them, and a couple look like they are "special". Other than that, they are just baby Mickey ones, perfect for trading away.

My 6 year old is getting so excited about this I think her head is going to explode. Last night we made our custom maps on the Disney site and I went over some scheduling with her and I seriously think she was squeaking so loud with delight the dogs in the neighborhood could hear her. LOL. I love to see how blown away by all this she is! My son completely gets it too, and says " we go Disney Werld tomorrow to see Mickey's house??!" about every day or so. I would have so perfered he be potty trained by the time we go but its not looking good. AHHHh I hate pull ups!

Part of your TA's job is to make your special requests to Disney. She should fax in your request about 3 or 4 days prior to your arrival.

I hear ya! My little guy is 3 and everyday he asks "Are we going on the airplane today?" I am starting to think I shouldn't have told him about the trip until we are heading to the airport! I was freaking out about the whole potty training thing because he was only sitting on the potty and ONLY with the little seat that fits on the potty. I almost cancelled the trip because I feared us having to carry that little seat with us everywhere. LOL Then, I kid you not, two days after I booked the trip (one month ago) he just out-of-the-blue started standing up to go potty! Now if I could only get him to go #2 without that dreaded little seat. If anyone sees someone carrying a little toilet seat around the park...you know it's me!
