Hello, friends,
Are you going to WDW for the holiday season? Are you a Star Wars fan and/or traveling with one, big or small? Were you excited and looking forward to seeing the Star Wars fireworks show everyone has been raving about? Maybe you set aside a couple of hundred dollars to pay for the dessert party as soon as dates during your vacation opened up for reservations.
And now it has been snatched away, with unthinking cruelty. And for what? A Prep and Landing show. Seriously? Are more people excited to see those C list Disney elves than images from movies we've watched and re-watched out of wonder and love for almost 40 years? How many people in the parks will be wearing Prep and Landing t-shirts vs. Star Wars? I know they're trying to sweeten the deal with NBC (Nightmare Before Christmas) content, but I'm not buying it.
I'm here for you. I feel your pain. I have created this space for all of us traveling from mid-November to NYE who need to cry a little, shake a fist at the sky, and get through the five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance).
Me, I'm still at Bargaining, telling myself they're going to do something AWESOME for us on Dec 16 or 17, when "Rogue One" opens, as our vacation coincides with that event. Surely that won't occur without some major acknowledgement? SIGH.
Vent away, friends. Vent away.
