**** official june 2015 thread! **** come check in!

Do single rider perhaps? That's our Matterhorn strategy every visit. Between DH, DD, and I, we usually only have to wait 2-3 minutes until the whole party has made it down the mountain. (And 2-3 minutes is the perfect amount of time to allow me to check facebook or the DIS while in DLR!)

That's a good idea! I totally forgot that. Realistically, I'm the only one who really wants to go on it. So maybe I'll do that while DH takes YDD & ODD to Fantasy Faire or Pixie Hollow. Thanks for the reminder!!

30 days until our trip! I have everything booked, playing with Ride Max, and watching the boards for tips on how to see the new parade and shows. Be sure to report back after your early June trips. I'm curious if WOC FP will be running out earlier because of the new show. Also want to hear tips on how to see the parade and fireworks without waiting hours.

7 more days and I will be going to Disneyland! I'm getting on the Disneyland Express once the plane lands, dropping my luggage off at the hotel and am heading straight to the park! Too bad there is a Grad Night next Tuesday :(. Oh well, I don't care, I will deal, I will be home!!!!

We leave on Saturday!! We have 5 day hoppers, so the plan is to take things nice and slow and not rush around too much (That's going to drive me nuts!!) Trying to plan around Grad Nights as best we can, but we also have 2 small kids who likely won't stay awake late every night anyway. Here's our loose plan: (remember, I'm trying not to overplan!)
Sunday 5/31 - first day in the parks. Arrive at opening, do a couple rides, then we booked the Discover the Magic tour. Sunday night try for Paint the Night and Fireworks (figure if we try for the first day, if we miss it, rains, etc we can just keep trying!)
Monday 6/1 - start in DCA for RSR, TSMM, etc. Dinner booked at Trattoria. Try for WoC.
Tuesday 6/2 - MM entry to DL, late breakfast booked at Carnation Café. Grad Night, so not sure what the evening will hold but going to try for F! Might push that till Thursday though. This is my DD's birthday, so she gets to pick dinner but I'm going to try and steer her toward Tangaroa Terrace. They have a salmon kids meal I know she'd like.
Wednesday - beach day
Thursday 6/4 - No real plans, but it's a non-grad night so we'll see how the night goes. Hoping for more fireworks and Paint the Night
Friday 6/5 - no real plans here either. It's our last night with an early flight Saturday, so we don't plan on being too late.

4 DAYS!!!!

4 DAYS!!!!

Looks like we will be there at the same time! There is not a Grad Night on Thursday, June 4th so, we don't have to worry about that. We are doing EE that day! There are Grad Nights on June 2, 3rd and 5th though while we are there unfortunately. We will just have to deal with them the best we can.

I just noticed that so I updated my post! Hmmm.... might make more sense to do Magic Morning on Thursday after we take our break Wednesday. Might be easier to wake up that day! But then that throws off my breakfast plans for Tuesday.... we'll see! Really trying not to stress about it :)

Even though there isn't a Grad Night on June 4th it is the last day of the summer for the SL pass holders before they are blocked. I'm expecting it to be pretty crazy that day. It may be worse than the Grad Nights? I really wish I could have gone another week but I couldn't. I am going to get as much in early as I can and then my son and I have plans for the busy afternoons and evenings. I don't want to stress about it either. I was there the week Cars Land opened and I survived that, although it wasn't pretty, it was insane!!! I get there at RD and I stay until they close. I always do, I am tired but I love it. Everything will be great and we will have a great time!

Less than 2 weeks until we leave! We booked the WOC dinner package at WCT. Never eaten there and were wanting to try it so seemed like a good time to do so. I wasn't planning on watching WOC until I saw some of the clips of the new show and now of course I have to see it! We also have our ressies for Ariels Grotto lunch with the princesses. DD is 8 so I'm guessing we dont have too many years left going to that one. DH actually loves the food there. Its one of our favorite meals usually. And we have ressies for Goofy's Kitchen on our arrival night. I got my photopass+ in the mail last week. So we're definitely almost ready!

I am not sure if I checked in on this thread! We're going soon, staying at the Hyatt Place (further than I wanted, but the combination of price, bunkbeds and breakfast sort of pushed us there), 5/30 to 6/3, so 3 full days.
I don't feel ready at all though, and am worried about the whole "last week of pass holder" and Grad Nights. I'm still trying to figure out which days are likely to be better for what park. We've never seen Cars Land so I was hoping to get into DCA first on Saturday night (don't arrive until afternoon), then DL on Sunday and Monday and back to DCA on Tuesday following the advice to avoid early entry days if you don't have early entry.
I'm hoping I can shed the confusion and just relax and have fun....with DH, DS (2) and DD (7) ...but I'm the only one who seems to be interested in planning /thinking about what we might liked to do (they're all more in the moment...especially the 2 year old of course!). o_O

That's good to know, thanks! I arrive on that day and probably won't get to the park until the early afternoon. I'm planning to spend a few hours in DL and not overdo it that day, since I'll probably be tired from waking up very early for my flight, and then the time difference coming from NYC.

I'll be in the area for 7 days, but I also have a conference for 4 of those 7 days, so I'm very much just going to be fitting in what I can in small increments each day. It should be interesting! My goal is to be in the parks at least a few hours all 7 days! :-)

18 days until my quick trip and I can't wait! I need my happy place desperately!!! Work has been nuts!!!

KellaCat - we'll be there the same days! We are doing the parks Saturday through Thursday though and driving home Friday. 4 DAYS!!! I just have to make it through this work week - it's a busy one so I'll be more than ready for a week at Disney!

I hope you all have a great trip!!

I hear ya! I'm the planner in our household. I've been driving my DH a little crazy lately with it.

Paint The Night anxiety:
* sigh* Reading some of the latest updates on the "Paint The Night Strategy" thread has me feeling a tad discouraged. :( I mean...on a week night, right after the Soundsational parade (which is at 4:30 in the afternoon!), most of the Paint The Night parade spots are already taken?

WAAAAH!

Perhaps this is the effect of southern CA AP holders trying to get in to see the new parade before their APs are blacked out for the summer. I mean, a friend of mine just today said that he's going one evening this week or next week just to see the parade.

At first, this made me just want to cry. Maybe we should have planned our trip for after the blackout days started! Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. And we'll be at DL just for one day, so I don't have the option this trip of "no big deal, we'll try again tomorrow."

So I think that instead, we will target seeing the Soundsational Parade at 4:30 pm, then we have dinner reservations at Carnation Cafe for 5:30 pm. And we can go on a bunch of Fantasyland rides during Paint The Night, then go stand in the middle of the street right before the fireworks start and watch the fireworks.

14 days..and 14 hours :yay:

I only have 2 days in the parks (less than, really, since my arrival day doesn't begin until noon). I've decided to set expectations low to account for crowds/grad nights. I developed a "Must do" list and if I accomplish everything on the list, I'll be happy. Anything more will be bonus!

DL:
Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Indiana Jones (Single Rider), Fireworks, Paint the Night

DCA: RSR, Tower of Terror, Aladdin, Soarin'

I'd like to fit in Fantasmic, but recent reports have me doubtful that I can do all 3 nighttime shows. I've seen F!at WDW, so I guess that's what will be sacrificed over parade and fireworks. I'm solo, so there's a good chance I can squeeze in somewhere without much wait for the nighttime entertainment. If the Hub is packed, my back up is Its a Small World. Lots of favorable reviews for that area.

Cannot wait! It's exciting seeing some June visitors leaving soon!!

last minute trip! Surprise for my mom's 60th birthday! park days are tues/wed/thurs 6/30-7/2. It will be my mom/dad/dd(5) and me. Staying at Carousel Inn. My daughter and I went back in October over Halloween (that was her first trip). What has changed? I feel so compressed for planning time!

Don't give up hope! I too have been following the PTN threads. It sounds like people were able to see the parade from the Small World Viewing area without trouble if they arrived about an hour or so before. It may not be the ideal view but at least you can see it!

On the other hand, I don't remember there being Mary Poppins chimney sweeps in the Soundsational parade two years ago. Seeing this would be a lot of fun.

23 days to go and we may have to postpone for awhile due to my daughters illness. Praying for a little pre disney magic to come this way.
