*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

Still trying to work my way round these boards...havent earned my ears yet!!!::thumbsup2

Even though we are on the June thread, we actually roll over into July as well. Wanted to see what 4th July was like....know its going to be busy and mad and thats part of the excitement!!

DS (who is now 20 and has his own money!) wants to treat us all to a lazy character breakfast at Ohana on 4th July....Stitch was his favourite character as a kid and now even has a Stitch tattoo!!

Anybody know what the chances are of getting breakfast ADR's on 4th July? Hoped as it was a resort and not a park we would be lucky!!

We were able to get Ohana breakfast during our spring break trip back in April. We didn't book until about a week before so you should be able to get that pretty easily. We loved it! My son is a big Stitch fan, he however is 7! Haha

::welcome to kiannawife2kepe, RhinoIsAwesome, & DisneyMommy9!

My hubby and I will be there for our first June trip. June 10-19 at BWV studio. Hubby is going to star wars weekend. I am going to a AWHONN conference the 14-18th.

Any tips helpful My conference is at Coronado Springs. Thinking of taking a taxi in the am then bus to met the hubby at the park he is at.

Anyone else going for the conference?

Dianna and Jeff:)

I would think a taxi would likely be the best/quickest option if you don't have your own vehicle with you. I'd love to do a conference at Disney, but I don't think it's in the stars for me...yet... ;)

I would love to go the end of June to celebrate my bday and my DD's bday, but I don't think we could tolerate the heat and humidity. We found it difficult in Sept.

We go pretty much every year in June, and, although it does get hot, it could be worse. Take some downtime in the middle of the day and/or go for the indoor, air conditioned things during those times. Usually, August/September is worse, heat-wise, than June/July. (Or, that's how I feel. YMMV, I suppose.) When are your bdays? :)

My dd will be 8! My husband is coming on the night of the 24th ( he says he can only handle one day in each park so my dd and I are having a a few girl days on each side of his days!). Were going to do Mk.... Dd wants dinner at chef mickeys and my husband said he liked that from our last trip and I want to try ltt for lunch since we will be in Mk. Thinking about surprising hrt with the family magic tour, so were see! Good luck with the adult menu! I dread that day for us!

Fortunately, Disney counts you as the age you are when you check in for the entire trip. She'll still be 9 when we check in, so we're good for this trip. She wants to be counted as an adult, but she wants to keep the kids menu. I told her to try our food, but order the kids' food because we know she'll eat it. Next year...well..we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Sadly I will have to be leaving this group. We had to postpone our trip until the middle of August. (Im dripping sweat thinking about the heat!!!!) But instead of staying offsite we get to stay in the Nemo Suite at the AoA, so its working out much better! I wish you all Magical trips! :wizard:

So sorry to see you go! Hope your trip is magical, even if you have to wait longer to get to it!

Well hello everyone! I was on the March board but need to change my trip to June. Will be June 1-7 at Pop Century!

Hi and welcome! :wave2:

Just make sure to be on at your 180 day mark at the right time, and you shouldn't have too much of a problem! July 4th is one of the busiest days at WDW (July 4, Easter, and the week from Christmas to New Year's are the busiest times at WDW, so I would think those days would be the worst to try to book.)

Awesome!!! I just made ours too. Looks like we are going to Ohana on the same day and same time!!!

You two should try to meet each other there! :dance3:

We are now booked June 28 - July 5 at Boardwalk Villas

Yay! I've updated you on page 1!

Yes, Alan_Renfroe, there does seem to be quite a few of us Alabama-types in here...so...a great big WAR EAGLE for our 2013 SEC champs! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Best Disney Story: My husband grew up listening to his dad read him the Uncle Remus stories, and when his dad passed away four years ago, my husband started to read them to my boys. My husband really wanted to meet Brer Bear, since he reminded him most of his dad. One day we got off the train I found myself walking next to Brer Bear. I told him he was my husband's favorite. He promptly grabbed my husband into a huge hug. Next thing I knew, our whole family was pulled into the Ho Down. We were all in shock. My husband looked up and said, "Thanks, Dad."
What do you look forward to most on your next trip?
Just spending time making magical memories with my family.
Got a tip, trick, or question (trivia or otherwise)? Be sure to post it! :)
Interaction with the character is as fun as what you make it.

My tentative ADRs are Cape May dinner, Via Napoli, Crystal Palace breakfast, 1900 Park Fare dinner, Dessert party, Coral Reef, Tusker House breakfast, and Liberty Tree Tavern lunch.

You will love Crystal Palace breakfast! Great food and great character interaction. We've also enjoyed Coral Reef and Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch in the past, and we've got both of them scheduled for our upcoming trip.

Hi DisneyMommy9! You'll have to let me know what you think of Kouzinna. We almost chose that as one of our dinners. What day are y'all having dinner at Ohana?
