Official JUNE 2009 Thread!!!

This will be our third June trip as well. We have had the same experiences. Rain some days, but it doesn't last long. The worst one was when the skies opened up while at TP. We were wet but not from the water rides. The ride back to POP on the bus was the smelliest ride I've ever had.:scared1:

Well see that does not sound bad at all. I was worried that it would rain non stop everyday all day...that would suck!

It's getting closer to vacation time!!

Don't let the rain scare you. It clears out the parks really well. We rode BTMRR 4 times back to back while it was raining last June.

:thumbsup2 Have poncho, will travel. That's my motto. I try to stay out of major downpours by ducking into stores or indoor rides, but as soon as it lets up, I am on the move!

Check in to GF on June 1st and check out on June 8th. (ugh, I hate to even think about the check out :( Luckily--or not:confused3--we have a two day drive to get home, time to de-depress ;))

We are set to arrive 6/12 - 6/19 and can't wait!!!! Whahoo!:yay: This will be our second trip for this year and just a few weeks after our last visit on 4/24. Gosh, can you imagine that! Well, we are just to eager to start our vacation along with the rest of you Disney fanatics!

Look foward to running past ya in the MK, EPCOT, DHS or AK.

We are at 10 Days :cool1: I got alot of things bought off of my lists this Weeknd just need a few more last minute things:goodvibes

We are all getting so close! :yay:

Happy Memorial Day Everyone!

Every day, before we leave the room, we make sure everyone has a poncho in their pocket, just in case.

12 days!:rotfl2:

I got Mickey Mail on Saturday - you should have seen me trying to read it without my kids seeing it :rotfl2: They won't know we're going until the 14th;)

Only 12 more days, and in a little bit, I am going to pack. Some people were making fun of me for packing so early, but if I don't get most of it done today, I won't get it done and we won't be ready to leave on time.

I've just gone into panic mode! I realized I have completely slacked and have no plans or anything. We have 3 ADRs and those are the only days with plans! Once my DBF leaves for the National Guard tomorrow I'm going to have to crack down and get serious about planning.

Just got off the phone from trying to make a couple of "last-minute" dining plans. You know...it takes me back to college days...I would go into the book stores at least a week before classes started and buy all of my books based on what the bookstores said we needed. Seriously...when I started, I'd go after getting book lists from my instructors and wind up spending an hour or longer in line. So I'd buy early and think I'd missed out on the lines and waits...and there was always ONE book that was on the syllabus that wasn't on the shelf in the bookstore. :confused3

So, at the 90 day mark, I'd plotted and planned and made my ADRS. Then I thought some more...I had 3 days of no ressies whatsoever. I finally made some decisions...then just didn't feel like calling until tonight...and they just did answer before I decided I'd waited long enough ("less than 8 minutes" became 16 minutes!)

I asked for a table for 2 at Akershus...and I KNOW I should have said "what about a table for 3?" But I didn't. At Epcot on the 21st they have Marrakesh and Biergarten...Biergarten on the 22nd...and Biergarten on the 23rd. Not what I wanted in any case.

I did get the Yak and Yeti, though.

My ADRs:
June 20: Boatwright's
June 23: Yak & Yeti
June 24 (my birthday!): Le Cellier & Garden Grill (just something about the idea of a rotating restaurant....)
June 25 (DD's birthday!): Crystal Palace & CRT (that second one is at her request)
June 26: Chef Mickey's & Tony's Town Square

Of the stuff we really, really wanted/had to have...we've got those.

Now...to start the list of things I need to get and what needs to be packed. Sure...I said I'd try to get to it this weekend, but, realistically...I know it won't be possible until after NEXT weekend. DD's dance class on Thursday night, dress rehearsal for the dance recital at 4 on Friday, then preschool graduation ceremony promptly at 6...DB's wedding on Saturday...and DD's recital on Sunday. Too much! :scared1:

26 more days to go!
