Official JUNE 2009 Thread!!!

We will be there from June 11-20 and are renting a house through All Star Vacation Homes. It will be me, my DH, DS, sis, BIL, neice, mom and dad all in the same house. We'll be celebrating my son's 5th birthday on the 18th. I can't wait!!!

Hello all! I love reading these boards.. I get excited reading about everyone's trips and plans. Our trip is booked for June 2nd through June 10th..<I thought it would NEVER happen>. This will be my third trip to Disney World and my 10th trip to Disney (went to Disneyland 7 times). However it will be my son (17) and daughters (18 & 20) first trip. (they didn't live with us before- they are adopted).. Our first two trips we stayed at the Carribean Beach in August (we took the 4 older kids- some of them adopted too..lol)... and I would NEVER stay anywhere else... it is just wonderful after a hot, hectic day at the parks to just relax ..the units are so quiet, it feels like you are alone. I love the idea of each "village" having it's own pool. My husband and I would go down to the laundry at night .. throw in a load of clothes and swim for about 90 minutes while they were washing & drying... and we would be alone... even though we weren't supposed to be swimming after 11, the security guard told us as long as we were quiet, there was no problem. It was a wonderful part of the day.lol.. surprisingly enough. The lush foilage and tropical flowers seems to make you feel cooler, too. We have always reserved 2 rooms, one for the kids and one for us <my kids were young teens when we went>.

I am so looking forward to this trip.. alot has happened to us since our last trip in 1992. This will be my first visit as a disabled person in a wheelchair. I am very nervous about it. But I have had such wonderful experiences in Disney.. I almost cried when my husband said the trip was a go...I am so happy.

Well, our deposit was sent and credited today and we are 104 days away... we are driving down and like to sightsee on the way down and back.. so we are leaving May 30th and returning June 12th.


So trip is booked and almost time to decide on dinner reservations..

Went so long ago, I am not sure our favs would still be my favs.

We loved the Rose and Crown and the Brown Derby.. but last time I ate way too many burgers for my liking... need to branch out.

Add us to the list. We are going June 16-25. We will be staying at the Poly. We are so excited. I didn't think we would ever be able to afford the Poly, but thanks to the 4/3 deal we can this year.

We are going on our first huge family trip....which just so happens to be my husbands and 3 kids first trip. We have done the beach and other stuff but Disney is this whole other thing. I am obsessively excited. We will be at the POP from 6/21-6/28. YAY!

May 30-June4 at SSR. I bought into DVC in Jan., so I'm using my extra points to take my 3 nieces to WDW (2 of them will be there for the 1st time).

I need one more table meal and am think Tony's Town Square. My son also wants to go to Rainforest Cafe but we will probably do that for lunch on the day we are leaving.

Those look like good choices to me ! We have been to Crystal Palace and loved it! We are going to repeat that and from your list we are also going to try Garden Grill. We have been to Rainforest (not in Disney) and the kids really enjoyed it.

That is our usual time of year to go. (going later in the month this year)
But you will see it's not bad when you first get there.... but around the 15th you will see it get increasingly more crowded.
Most school let out the first week of June..... so a lot of people start vacations after the 10th to the 15th.
The weather is great for us. If you like heat, it's fine..... but still not crazy HOT.
Also the afternoon rains become more frequent as you get closer to July.
You can really tell the difference from the beginning of June to the end.
But you will have a great time!!!

I am in TX and my sons last day in school is June 5th and we are arriving on June 7th. Hoping the parks aren't to bad. We were there in '06 the 3rd week of June and it was packed and hot and rained every afternoon.
