Is anyone planning on going on this tour? Or, if you have been on this tour, do you recommend it?

I still have 2 kids TS credits to use :( Any suggestions?

yes. I would recommend Crystal Palace for dinner. It is buffet. There are plenty of kid friendly choices too. You can use the kids 2 TS credits and pay for the adult meals. You always get more value for your money when you eat buffet style with kids. A standard kids meal at most restaurants runs you less than $10, but a buffet meal tends to be $13.99-$18.99 so you get more, pay the same. I like Crystal Palaces food, but the atmosphere is really nice and relaxing and the characters make it exciting for kids. That was one of my kids favorites. :tigger:

Just talking to Mindy (GO TO BED MINDY, ITS LATE!!).

I mentioned something to her that I thought was common DIS knowledge, but apparently wasn't.

Most meets or groups (WDW or DCL) will use something Lime Green as an identifier, as Lime Green is the official/unoffical color of The DIS.

[I mentioned to her that I had bought some lime green shoelaces, and she thought I was crazy. Well, I kinda am, but not cause of the laces.]

So, if you're looking to have something for our July group, lime green should be in there somewhere.

Lime green Mickey heads are a popular choice for DISers. They are the lime green paint chips that Home Depot carries for Disney paint. I believe that it's actually called Alien Green. Lots of DISers get these and attach them to their backpacks or decorate their resort doors and/or windows with them. It's a fun way to locate other DISers while in WDW!

Ditto! Thanks Tom for reminding us. I was hopping tp print out at least one lime green Mickey head to place on my bag. I think I may now be able to get my name on it as well. So if any of you see me please be sure to say Hi! I will introduce you to the picture of my MIL that I am also hoping to have with as a way to share our love of Disney with her from a far. I will write more of our week once I get home and can process what has happened.

Just remember to tell those you love how important they are each and everyday as one never know when they will no longer be here to hold. God bless all of you. Now back to the matter of life. Lois

Hi!
A friend and I did the KTTK tour last year in May. I have a hard time convincing myself it's worth the money, but we did enjoy it. We had a great guide (I think his name was Mark) and did see lots of interesting backstage places like the tunnels and the "parade garage". As WDW mention themselves, it's not suitable for kids as we also encountered a not so kid-friendly version of Woody and 2 halves of a horse :upsidedow.
We did the 8.30am tour, which was great because you start before the crowds get in. The lunch is about half way through the tour (10.30ish) so we had skipped breakfast. Don't expect too much of the lunch, though. We were hungry again about two hours later. They do have a reserved area upstairs in the place at the border of Liberty Square and Fantasyland.
You get a little gift during tour and they were all out in our case. They did however write down our addresses and we got it in the mail about 2 months later. It took a while, but they did come through!

If this sounds like your cup of tea and the price is not an issue, then by all means do it. It's nice to do once, but I wouldn't do it a second time in the next ten years ;).

I still have a couple more to finalize..or should I say DH needs to finalize b/c I have passed off some responsibility to him!

Here are our ADRs:
7/20 SciFi 1115a
7/20 PrimeTime ???? DH!
7/22 Tusker House 8am
7/22 Trex ???? DH!!!!
7/23 Coral Reef 1150a
7/23 Chefs d' France 830p (DH & I only!!!)
I still have 2 kids TS credits to use :( Any suggestions?

:thumbsup2 I added your ADRs except for the ones with no times. Let me know when you get those and I'll add them. There are a couple of Sci Fi diners with you!

I'm going to Home Depot to search for an alien green mickey head or two. I'll put my name on it and hang if from a) my bag and B) my stroller and go from there.

You guys are the first group I'm willin to do this for I just want you all to know :rotfl2::grouphug:

Three more weeks of school!!! :teacher: I LOVE the idea of being able to say we're going next month (starting Monday) and once school gets out, I'll be busy busy with wedding stuff that hopefully it'll just fly and before I know it, I'll be relaxing on the beach at the Poly with a Lapu Lapu!!

I'm getting excited it's almost here. Just waiting to receive my travel documents. Monday was my 40 day mark so they should be here any time. I just received the 25 Disney pins I ordered, they are so cute. My DS5 is starting to get excited.:woohoo:

Great info - thanks for giving the approximate meal time; hopefully we can schedule it in on my birthday as we have our FDP for Brown Derby @ 4ish. My younger DD, who is minoring in dance, has dreams of working/dancing for Disney and would love to see the backstage/tunnel areas! Her dreamy goal is to be a dancer/CM on one of the cruise ships :boat:

I just did some quick snooping around and by looking at what time the pics were taken it seems our lunch was at 11am.

Hi everybody.....I am so excited I just made the final payment on our trip for July 15-26 :cool1: ADR's are made....plans made.....now onto packing stuff.

Seriously!! I'm already having nightmares (literally, I woke up in a panic the other night) about not having packed everything or having to leave for the airport right away and I haven't packed yet. I think it's only something that happens to crazy obesseive over-planners like us!

You're allowed to be even more obsessed than the rest of us, you're a bride! ;)

I will also go to the Home Depot (I have to get some wheels for a project anyway) and pick up Alien Green paint chips to make tags for my bags. I am the Betsy Ross of my neighborhood. I'm thinking here.....:wizard:..ta da... an idea!! What about a banner/flag with... white with a Alien Green Mickey head on it.!! I can do that. No problem. I can even take the paint swatch to the fabric store so I get the correct color (if they have it). I can hang it in our window. Hmmmmm I have lime green capri's!:rotfl:
