OFFICIAL JULY 2009 THREAD!!! (Part 2) It's here!!

I almost forgot to do the single digit dance.

Ok, now the people in the hallway outside my office are looking at me funny.

Now that I know how blazing hot and humid it is here, I have some suggestions. If you packed any jeans. Take them out and put them away. You will sweat so profusely that you'll need to change clothes if you come back to the resort to swim in the afternoon. You don't want to put on sopping wet sweaty clothes. So 2 pairs of undies and bras for each day. No kidding. Other options include wearing a swim suit to the parks and putting on a terry cloth cover-up. I SOOOO wish I'd brought a terry cover-up that doesn't look like a bathrobe. I sooo totally wish I'd worn a swim suit to AK today. You will need sunscreen by the Costco size package. The mosquitoes aren't as bad as expected. So, bring some Off, but if you have the Avon SSS bug spray sunscreen combo, you're good.

Didn't buy the Resort refillable mug. Didn't need it. Bought a flat of water at Winn Dixie. Needed 2 (there are 7 of us).

Canceled Rainforest DTD for lunch today. No time. Ended up having tuna on pita at Tamu Tamu (it wasn't pita though, it was flat bread). Tamu Tamu is apparently Swahilii for "Cheeburger Cheeburger"!!

Sanaa was expensive (especially the wine list) but VERY good. Service is excellent, food is superior.

Now.... dinner, then EPCOT. Gonna try AGAIN to get there in time for the fireworks. Hasn't worked out so far.:wizard:

Wow -- now I feel like I'm way under-dressing my girls in just character t-shirts! Your kids are going to be SO adorable!!! I hope to see you there somewhere!

Please do say hello, just give me a second to look puzzled about how you know me! :)

Love the outfits. You must know how to sew?? :worship: I never learned, now I wish I had. I will keep a look out for you all.

I am JUST learning to sew. I did the hotfix shirts (the rhinestones), and the mulan outfits. Another friend from the board did all the stuff for my two youngest. And all the stuff on MY dresses were appliques I just ironed on! :) Yes, I cheated!

The little boys will have embroidered tee's you can look for too. They have semi-unusual names, so that might help! :)

emcreative: Mason family!

Congratulations on the adoption!

My mom is sending you pixie dust. Your story made her want to cry as she is really touched.

We love your outfits!

I esp. love your Mulan skirts. I wish I had it hehehe Mulan's one of my fave.

Have a great and safe trip!

Thanks so much! Foster care is a tough journey but now we know without a doubt it was the right one for us, because it brought us to "Phineas" and "Ferb." We are so blessed to have our found our sons!

And that Mulan skirt is about a women's size 12,maybe we'll ship it to you once Emmy is done with it! lol....there were 17 strips of EACH fabric that had to all be sewn together in a big chain. By the end I was really really not happy with my 12 yo (When Miss Missy asked the girls if they wanted custom clothes, the littlest girls said yes, and got a gorgeous wardrobe. The 12 yo changed her mind TWO WEEKS AGO so of course it left that all up to me!)

Here's to hoping everyone travels safely who is leaving in the next few days, and that y'all are enjoying good weather. I can't wait until it's our turn! :cool1:

Train leaves 12 hours from now.
Looked at the weather, seems like scattered tstorms every single day. But then there seems to be scattered t storms here for the week too. So I guess no matter where I am it's going to rain.

We weren't planning on bringing jeans. We live in FL and know how it is. :rotfl: We are still debating upon getting the mugs. My family sure does drink a lot... :confused3 Hope you made it to the fireworks.

Have a great trip. Glad your cold is better. Mine is slowly getting better. Now we are praying DH doesn't come down with it.

emcreative.

You didn't tell us which resort you'll be staying at.

Or if you did, I don't remember.

We are staying at POP Century too. I can't wait.

Well I was unable to get my shirts shipped any earlier or to my resort. Neither the Disney Store or UPS were any help. It seemed like they kept on contradicting themselves. But, I think I have talked my MIL into shipping the package to us once it comes in overnight to POP. So, we should still get them in time to wear at WDW! :woohoo:

Hope everyone had a good day. For everyone leaving have a safe and fun trip. I'll be there on Monday! :yay:

I'm praying that scattered t-storms means hardly any at all. It has been a very rainy year so far though. :confused3

Hey folks! We did make it to the fireworks. Illuminations, Reflections of Earth. We had great seats because MIL is in a scooter, so we got to sit in the handicapped priority seating over by the Rose & Crown.

Here's the deal with the weather. In the morning, it is sunny and beautiful. The sky is deep blue and there are puffy white clouds. EVERY single afternoon there are isolated and/or scattered thunderstorms. For instance, one day we had a high tea at the Grand. about 3:40pm it began to rain, then it began to downpour. We got stranded at the Grand til around 4:30 when they re-opened the monorail and it slowed down enough to leave. When we got back to Saratoga, it wasn't raining. We talked to DH and DS who were at EPCOT the whole time and it never even rained there!! One day DD and DS got rained on 3 times at Blizzard Beach, but we didn't get rained on at the MK. Today, we returned to Saratoga from AK all sweaty and hot and wanted to jump in the pool. As soon as we'd changed and walked the 20 feet to the pool, they closed it because there was lightning. It was dark in the distance, but sunny over us. We waited about 30-40 minutes and they re-opened the pool evening though we could by then hear thunder. But it never rained on us. Our first day at MK, before our room was ready, so everything was still in the car, we got trapped at MK in a wretched downpour that flooded Tomorrowland with 5 inches of rain. We were on Tomorrowland Motor Speedway when it started, so we couldn't get out of the rain. We had to continue on til we got to the end of the track. It was raining so hard we couldn't see. It rained for about an hour to an hour and a half, then let up. Oh.. and the rain itself was actually COLD water. I always thought the rain itself would be warm water down here. But its not.

Tomorrow is DHS!:3dglasses
