Not sure what I'm doing, but it appears that there is no official January 2026 thread yet, so here we go!!

I'll keep this post strictly for a Roll Call, updating it as we go. I'm going to do another post with some info on my trip.

Hey there!

Here is the current plan for us:

5 or 6 adults and 2 kids
My husband and I, our daughter, her husband, and their 2 kids (2 and 4 at the time of the trip), my sister, and her friend

We'll arrive at the YC on Monday, January 19 - MLK Day, and then enjoy 5 days at the parks with Park Hopper passes. We have 3 rooms booked, checking out on Sunday, January 25.

I know that MLK weekend is probably a busy time, but I'm hoping that the following week will not be too crazy.

I'm planning a trip for January 23-31 at POFQ for 6 adults, 3 rooms. Two travel days, 7 park days, with Park Hoppers.

Three of my four children (and one is bringing her husband and its his first trip!) are planning to come. We feel sad about leaving the grandchildren (almost 5 and 15m) but my oldest and her husband want to wait till the baby is older.

Our last trip was just my husband and me; my kids haven't been since 2019, before Covid, so they're quite excited!! And my daughter wants to give her husband a great experience so he'll be down for future trips. So I think the planning will really be for three different trips - relaxed for my husband and me, gogogo for my 2 20somethings, and carefully curated for the newbie! We're planning to eat together once aday and we'll likely do some LLs together

We're all Star Wars fans so Galaxy's Edge is number one on their lists. Our first day is the Skyliner's last day before it's down for a week and that's also high on their lists. And we're all looking forward to enjoying the Festival of the Arts again.

Hello!!

I've been checking Thrill Data, and our time period seems solidly in the "average" zone. Who knows how accurate that is, but I don't think I can ask for more.

On their site, the only real periods that show up as "light" are in very late August and most of September. While planning this trip with my daughter and family, the number one concern for them was the heat. They live in Colorado and do not do well in heat or humidity. And since January was just a better time in general for them to travel, that's what we went for. I'll keep my fingers crossed for crowds and weather and continue to remind myself that it will be wonderful, no matter what!!!

We've been in January 5 times and it can get very cold but we've also had days in the 80s. so we bring our winter coats/gloves/scarves (we're in the northeast so we'd need them anyway for the trips to/from the airport) and pack lots of layers.

We've done a few trips to Disney in February and have been lucky enough to have good weather every time. Never been in January, so I guess we'll see how that turns out.

This trip will be only our second that we're NOT coming from the northeast. We spent our entire lives in the Northern NJ area and have recently retired to the Mississippi coast. We only flew one time in all of our NJ trips, choosing instead to make the drive down. (What can I say - we've always been road trip people!) One other nice thing about driving is that we have no concerns about how much stuff we want to bring.

Now that we're here in the south, the 8.5-hour drive seems like a piece of cake!

We were there last year for this and loved it. They haven't released the 2026 dates yet, but from what I'm reading, it will probably be starting right before we arrive. Very much looking forward to it.

The last time we went with our 2 kids, they were in high school. And considering they're now 34 and 35, I guess that was quite a few years ago! Their Dad and I have made 3 trips on our own since they flew the nest.

Neither one of them, nor their partners, is nearly as enthusiastic about Disney as we are, but our daughter is excited to bring the littles. And let's be honest: Since we're paying, how could they say no!? LOL

The spreadsheet is all set for January! It's going to be a parents/sibling trip with my DVC, so it's going to be a few more things to juggle compared to my typical "do whatever and be flexible" solo/duo trips.

We're big split stay people, now booked for 12/31-1/3 at POFQ, 1/3-1/5 at All-Star Movies, and 1/5-1/10 at Wilderness Lodge!

Nuclear family of 4- me, wife, son, and daughter. With an 11th and 8th grader, this is probably our last WDW trip while the kids are living at home with us and it's going to have alot of resort days built in-- this is how we roll

First time in January-- avoiding the heat was a MAJOR factor, we went in August once (never again) and November/December (better, but we were still killed by the heat most days). Even if we have some cold days, we're from the Northeast, we can handle that. We must must must avoid high heat haha!

We are planning a trip January 10th-17th. Staying off site. Have not purchased our tickets yet for WDW.

We will be there the 24-31. We will be in Orlando the 21-23 but staying offsite then. Will probably just do DS and relax.

We’ve gone second week of March the last couple times, but the crowds are way too intense. Can’t even move around. Hoping the crowds won’t be too bad, but I’m a little worried. I notice the bounce backs have the end of January unavailable (but the spring break weeks are available). Is that a sign it’s going to be busy?
