***Official January 2025 Thread***

My LL day was today. I tried to make LL just for my two DHS days only, because it’s my two DDs favorite park, but for some reason it says my one DD can’t make them til tomorrow, which is really weird because we all have the same tickets and she’s on both of our reservations (1st night at POR then the next 13 at BRV/WL). Hopefully I can get her the same LLs the rest of us have tomorrow, otherwise I guess I’ll be visiting Guest Services when we get there.

Just booked our lightning lanes and will start packing today!

I’m no longer super worried about the weather in Orlando. Temps don’t look as bad. But I AM worried about the weather here (Nashville). We’re supposed to have snow setting in on the 10th lasting all night into the 11th when we fly out. I hope there isn’t much accumulation and that our flight isn’t canceled.

I’m worried about our flight on the 11th too. Even if we get no snow here by DC, snow in other parts of the country could affect our flight. I’m glad I didn’t schedule anything for that day because I’m lot sure we’d make it in time but I was really looking forward to checking out POR on our arrival night, we’re only there one night and I’ve never been there before.

Same. If flights on the 11th are canceled there are no options that arrive before 5pm on the 12th so we’d basically lose a park day. And that’s assuming we can even get on that flight..

Is anyone in their LLMP booking window yet? I'm curious what time slots are available for Remy at 7-8 days out. That's our first park with the whole group and I'm in charge of booking LLs for everyone.

I'm debating between booking Remy in the morning (9-10:30 range?) and taking the skyliner in from HS. The kids (5 kids ages 2-7) like doing the skyliner as a first "ride" of the day and it's a fun way to get to epcot, but I know it takes longer. We won't be looking at rope drop times with 3 different families in the group. If the Remy times are all going to end up being afternoon though then we'll probably just bus to epcot and start at the front of the park.

We're staying in All Star Sports Jan 22-28 (getting so excited!!) so still a couple weeks to decide on LL strategy.
Just found this website... not sure how accurate the data is but so much info if you click around!

Ok, for everyone who is visiting during the first half of January, please let us know when Christmas decorations come down!

Generally, resorts start first, and it's always weird to wake up one morning and see it all gone.

Marathon weekend is relatively late this year, and since they try to keep some decorations up for runners, I'm curious what they'll do.

So, if anyone can report whether decorations are still up anywhere, or if they have already disappeared from somewhere, it is very helpful for future reference.

Also, I'm assuming Christmas music has already stopped playing throughout WDW??

I visited Beaches & Cream for dinner tonight and BC is still very decorated. Much to my disappointment and despite still smelling of baked goods, there was no gingerbread in the lobby. YC did still have a train display and BW had many decorations still up as well. There is also definitely still Christmas music being played. I do expect all of this to change by this time next week. IME the theme park trees will stay through marathon Sunday and then magically disappear before Monday.

Gran Fiesta Tour Closed & Drained for Refurbishment at EPCOT

The Gran Fiesta Tour is now closed at EPCOT for a 2-month refurbishment, scheduled to reopen on March 15th. The attraction is expected to receive a refresh during the downtime, but it’s unlikely that there will be any significant changes.

As we can see, the attraction has been drained (but isn’t completely dry). This will allow crews easier access to the show scenes, and allow for a deep clean. It looks like work lighting is on in the interior of the attraction as evidenced by the bright white lighting seen in the tunnel on the right side of the photos below.

The nearby San Angel Inn Restaurante is still operating as normal, and guests can see into the attraction. The show lighting is still on for the pyramid, which enhances the mood of the entire interior of the Pavilion.

Wow what a bummer. Looks terrible. I’m definitely canceling my San Angel ADR now. Really sucks.

Booked at All-Star Music from Jan 23- Feb 1st! Looks like it’s cold as heck this month, right?
Booked the same but from 20 until 25th. I'm coming from -30°C so anything warmer is always appreciated ha ha. From what I see they announce around the 20°C.
Sorry I'm not familiar with the Fahrenheit 😅

Well I am three weeks out now! Looking for the lightning lane prices to come out for my days over the next week so I can finalize my plans for those. I spend a lot of time looking at Thrill Data 😂

My packing planning has stalled until we get closer and I have a better idea of the weather forecast.

Hi Griffin!
Not sure if you have already been before to WDW but I was wondering if Lightning lanes are really necessary in January. As I really don't mind to wait 30 minutes. If anyone has more experiences with wait times for certain attractions I'm all Mickey ears :D

You can look in the app to see what the wait times are right now if you’d like.

When are you going?
