***Official January 2025 Thread***

Does that mean you could spread it out over several days?
Yes! As long as you redeem it before the end of the Festival (subject to any prizes running out beforehand).

Also, in the past, some people have successfully purchased multiples of a particular item, instead of purchasing one of each. Generally, as long as you get 5 stamps, it counts.

Here were last year's prizes--you could choose a cookie or a smoothie in a keepsake cup:

Can confirm the tree and Christmas decorations around the stores towards the front of the park are still up at Animal Kingdom. The garland and little animal standups on the eaves are gorgeous.

I don't know the answer to that, but i can also confirm there was still some Christmas decorations at Disney Springs last night. I didn't see any of the fancy trees they do, though. Garlands, wreaths and statues were still everywhere.

I'm heading to MK tonight and can update what it's like there.

Traditionally how long is holiday deco up into January? I'll be there in about a week and just assumed it would already be down. Would be very cool if some were still up. :)
They generally keep theme park trees and some decorations up through Marathon Weekend every year.

However, since that ended on Sunday, I’m surprised anything is left at this point. I expect it to be removed soon, but this is an interesting development! I think it’s great for visitors who can’t make it there during the holiday season, I just wish they would be more vocal about end dates, so people can plan accordingly.

So i don't recall seeing any Christmas decos at MK last night.

I wanted to drop in with another experience that might be useful. There have been articles on this recently and you may have noticed if you watch Thrill Data closely, but Tiana's VQ is staying available well into the day. I grabbed BG 54 right at 7am but that didn't work out with our plans to be in AK most of the morning (our BG ended up being called around midday). So when we arrived at MK a few minutes before 6pm I started readying MDE to get in the next VQ (it was an EH night). I clicked to Join and was immediately given a boarding group 😲 so the BG was still open since the morning. Our BG of 160 was available around 7pm. There was no one in line when we arrived, but the boats were full, and then by the time we were done with the ride, there was no one waiting to get on...!

It is probably the weather…people may try it once, but then it isn’t as appealing in cooler weather. Thank you for letting us know to keep trying!

I rode Tiana 2.5 times last week and there was never much if any queue. First time we arrived at the park in the afternoon and sometime after 1:45 remembered about the VQ. I was able to get a spot and my group was called slightly after sunset. The ride was a walk on and we only got a little wet so it wasn't a big deal that it was only 50 out.

The second time we purchased LLMP and rode around noon. We made it to the top of the hill before we had to be evacuated. Later in the day we noticed the ride was completely drained of water.

Finally, the third time, we used VQ again. I got group 25 was a bit nervous we'd be called early. However, the ride was down most of the day and we didn't get called until 5pm. We waited less than 20 minutes despite there likely being a significant number of LL that were eligible since the ride was down all day. We got absolutely soaked and were glad to have our rain gear.

TLDR - VQ makes it easy to ride Tiana so you don't need LLMP for it. Be prepared to be anywhere from a little damp to swimming with the frogs. I also recommend prioritizing for early in the day/trip since it is still experiencing some reliability issues.

Great news! I wonder if the cooler weather has an impact?
For morning Boarding groups, do you have to try right at 7:00 am, and then right at 1:00pm, or might it be available at 9:00 or 3:00? I'll be there next week, and hope to ride it several times, even in the cold.

Thanks for the Tiana's info. I am debating between Tiana's and Peter Pan for my Tier 1 LLMP. I keep switching my mind, but leaning towards Peter Pan for the LLMP.

Well, that cancels my plans for the extended evening hours at Epcot next Monday. The latest weather report has temps in the 30s (at least feels like temps). I enjoy Epcot, but not THAT much! Although since I'm staying at BCV, I'm thinking of ducking into Epcot thru the International Gateway to go to Les Halles Bakery around 8:30 to pick up breakfast for the next morning. Shouldn't be much of a line!

It does seem like an extended stretch of not-great weather. Trying not to look at the extended forecast myself, but it's hard not to! I know it's not particularly accurate, just over-thinking and over-planning over here 😂

I’m here now and it’s been pretty cold every night. The days are nice but nights are cold. And I found it very strange seeing Xmas decorations and hearing Xmas music at AK when we were there Monday, going again today so I’ll see if they’re still there. When we were in MK past Sunday all the Xmas stuff was up but when we went back Wednesday it was down. I’m so happy to be here but I really wish it was a tad warmer. We freeze every night, but it’s nice not to be sweating during the day. One thing I’ve noticed is that there are people from Brazil EVERYWHERE. Not just the huge teen groups (although they’re here too) but families too. Must be a popular month for them to come here.

The weather seems to be all over the map in Orlando the next 17 days. I've been monitoring it for weeks and now......it is saying the last week in January the highs will be mid to upper 70's. 🙃

Yes!

We are going to be at BWV from January 28-Feb 2

Our trips have nearly always been in August, September and October. We've done some May and November, but we were really excited seeing highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s. But...now they are showing highs for our dates in the upper 70s. Honestly, kind of a bummer because we've never experienced WDW in lower and cooler temps. I know maybe we're the exception :)

But wearing joggers and hoodie or leggings and sweatshirt was very exciting to us. We'll be celebrating our middle daughter's 22nd.
