*~*~*~*Official January 2017 Thread*~*~*~*~

Have the January hours been updated at all recently? Still hoping to set a solid schedule in place....

This is the latest park hours listing for January

No mention of Star Wars Fireworks yet -- I'm hoping they have them too!! We haven't seen them!!

Has anyone tried to book the Star Wars dessert party? If they're selling tickets to a SW dessert party, then that would stand to reason that there will be Star Wars fireworks.

Oh that's true I will keep a look out. We missed the SW fireworks in February, so I really hope they are doing them this January!!

With the new info out about the holiday show being at Hollywood Studios I wonder if the Star Wars fireworks will come back after Christmas is over with.
I hope so, I wanted to book the dessert party for my birthday.

It looks like everyone has shared their ADR's, but since I'm late to the party I wanted to share mine and see what y'all think :)

1/10- Epcot solo Day
Chefs de France lunch (or should I switch this to Biegarten? I've heard better reviews of this place but as a solo diner didn't know if it would be uncomfortable with the shared tables?)
Dinner with DH at Yachtsman's Steakhouse

1/11- MK solo day
BOG pre-park breakfast
Skipper Canteen lunch
(dinner is a cocktail party for DH's work conference)

1/12-AK solo half day then DH joins at lunch
Tiffins lunch

1/13- Hollywood Studios with DH
Brown Derby Lunch Fantasmic Package
Hoping for Star Wars dessert party this evening too. Fingers crossed!

The wife, daughter and myself will be there from 1/25 - 2/1 (staying at POP). This will be our 3rd trip in just over 2 years, so we are still trying to learn the ins-and-outs of Disney... but we have learned a LOT though in the last 2 trips. We are still trying to figure out what days to go to which parks and stuff like that, but most of the days will be at MK regardless. In the past we normally hit the parks that had the EMH’s, but since those are apparently more crowded, I’m thinking this trip we will avoid them. Does it make much of a difference? Only other thing I need is for my little one to get from 39 1/2” to 40” by trip time so it will open up the next set of rides for her...

Still having trouble with my AK night. We are only doing 3 days so I am planing one night in AK to see the new nighttime stuff like the Tree of Life. I know Rivers of Light won't be done but is there any other show I should Fastpass? I'm planing on Everest and the Safari, I don't know what to use the last fastpass for.

I haven't been to AK at night! We use our 3rd FP at AK on the Lion King Musical, the Finding Nemo Musial, or Dinosaur

1) I feel a bit bad about leaving my kids to go. DH and I are doing a RC cruise in February, so we had already planned a couples trip for the year . . .. but a chance to go to WDW is too tempting. My mom is watching the kids during the cruise, so I will probably ask my MIL for January.

This Jan will be our third trip with our kids, who are 11 and 7, and my wife and I are married 18 years this November. We have yet to take a trip away from our kids, even for an overnight. But I already mentioned to my wife that I was thinking for our 20th, maybe we could take our own trip to Disney to enjoy it from an adult point of view. I am not sure if it would be great, or if we would feel like we are missing the point without the kids. Not sure we are going to do it, and we obviously love our children, but the thought of taking a trip together for the first time since our kids were born sure sounds nice.

Well I so do it! Couples trips in general are so great for a relationship! Obviously, it's a very personal decision because what might be right for some families may not be right for another. I am 99% sure I'm going to go in January and I'm super pumped!
