Official January 2016!!!

So excited we leave in 10 days! Staying one night at the Poly and then the rest of week at a Reunion resort.
I am really struggling with packing as well. Looked at the weather just to get an idea. We are flying in from NY and its getting a bit chilly here. Not sure if I should bring shorts, short sleeves, pants or all of the above. Nonetheless, it is always fun packing for a Disney vacation. We are celebrating my stepdaughters Sweet 16 and cant wait to start experiencing the magic!!!!:cake:
We're in NY also :) Went from almost 70 on Xmas day to low 40's the past 3 days lol!
Any time we go down Nov-March we pack everything: long/short sleeves, shorts/long pants, and sweatshirts and even a heavier jacket. We've found that even though mid to high 50's at night doesn't sound bad, when you're out in it for hours and the wind blows a bit, it can get cold. Right now our nights look like high 40's. It can definitely change but even though we're used to those temps I don't usually hang outside for hours at a time when its that cold & I hate being uncomfortable in the parks, so as big of a pain it is to pack bulky clothes I'll be doing it again :sad2:

Got a small box in the mail today...my DH acused me of more online shopping HAHA... I said where does it say its from? Florida!!!! We both look at each other and do a little happy dance:) We are surprising our DS with the trip in 25 days. Cant wait to see his face. We surprised him on his birthday with a trip so we would know if he would be happy being surprised. I have not checked weather yet..Last year was nice, hoping for the same!

Only 24 more days to go! I'm ready to start packing now! It's nice to finally say that I'll be going to Disney World this month!

7 days for me! First trip down in 4 years and first time staying on property (AoA) in 20 years!

How does this look for some of you that are more regulars?

Friday 8th: Disney Springs - Earl of Sandwich, shopping, Dockside Margaritas, Jock Lindsey's, and dinner over at Yachtsman's Steakhouse.
Saturday 9th: Hollywood Studios - Rope drop to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, FP+ (Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, and Star Tours) and Fantasmic package (lunch) at Mama Melrose.
Sunday 10th: Islands of Adventure - Rope drop to Harry Potter, Three Broomsticks for lunch, The Cowfish for dinner, CityWalk for fun, and a quick trip to Fun Spot (to ride coasters).
Monday 11th: Universal Orlando - Rope drop to Despicable Me, Leaky Cauldron for lunch, and checking out the Orlando craft beer scene that night.
Tuesday 12th: Epcot - Rope drop to Mission: SPACE, FP+ (Test Track, Disney Pals, and Nemo), "Drink Around The World", and Le Cellier for dinner.
Wednesday 13th: Magic Kingdom - FP+ (Mine Train, Peter Pan, and Pooh), dinner at Be Our Guest, and a few Dole Whip's.
Thursday 14th: Animal Kingdom - FP+ (Dinosaur, Safari, and Everest), lunch at Flame Tree, and dinner at Coral Reef back at Epcot.
Friday 15th: Magic Kingdom - Keys to the Kingdom Tour, FP+ (Space Mountain, Mermaid, and Big Thunder), and dinner at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Saturday 16th: TBD, but likely Magic Kingdom - FP+ (Mine Train, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain).

A few quick questions.

1.) Anything to not miss at Disney Springs? Anything fun to see, do, taste, drink?

2.) We are doing the Fantasmic package for lunch at Mama Melrose. I am sure I won't be too hungry, but any ides for a quick bite to eat at DHS prior to Fantasmic?

3.) Any ideas of where to go at open in Magic Kingdom? We will likely have two chances (Wednesday and Saturday).

Thanks!

I think your plans look great!! Im looking forward to spending more time at Disney Springs this trip(our daughters dance studio is performing there) We hope to try out the Hangar bar as well.

At HS you should try the carrot cake cookie from the writers shop. Its really good.

Rope drop-I would head over to easywdw.com and look at his touring plans. They are really helpful.

I can't wait to explore DS this trip. I'm staying at POFQ so I'd like to take the boat and do some exploring. I'm a big shopper too so I need to hit up all those shops.

Exactly three weeks out for me! :)

This trip will be the first time I stay at Bay Lake Tower... anyone been before? I'm excited because it's on the monorail, but the theme isn't usually what I go for. I love the theming of the WL, the AKL, and Poly. It will be me and DBF.

We're celebrating DBF's birthday... so we will be eating at his favorite places! Hoop Dee Doo Revue , Garden Grill, and Ohana. I snuck in a BOG lunch and CRT breakfast too! This will be our first time dining inside the castle!

I'm so excited!:woohoo:

Han22735 and Jennad4.. Please let me know how your stay at the Poly was. We are headed there shortly after you. Can't wait. Stayed there last year, even with the construction it was AWESOME!

I certainly will. We stayed there in September for the first time and it was great. Can't wait to get back!!
