We will be at POR Jan 6-11. This will be our little princess's first Disney trip

After planning like mad three months ago for a February trip, last week my husband decided it would be much better (work wise) if we split the vacation between two different months. Luckily, I was abe to replace all of the ADRs, even BOG! We will be in the Fort Wilderness Cabins January 26 - February 3. How do I join the FB group?
Hello everyone!
I'll be at AllStar Music from 21st to 25th (of January of course!).
I'll be with my Hausband-to-be and it will be our first time in WDW !!!
I'm so excited!!!
We come from Italy and we only visited DL Paris (me5 times, Marco only1), so I'm little nervous cause I don't know if I'm planning correct or not.
Before to get to WDW we'll stay 8days in New York to celebrate our 4th anniversary! (on 19th)
Hope to have some advices from you, cause I really need them!!!
HelloPlease add me to your wonderful list
We are headed to Disney Jan 26 - Feb 4! Having a difficult time deciding on POR Royal room or AOA Nemo suite for my DD fifth birthday. We had a nice quote but i guess waited too long to book and now they are no longer offering any discount on the Nemo suites
because it is only myself, husband and daughter going this trip I feel silly wasting 280.00 a night on a suite. It was different when the SPD knocked it down to 240's. What to do...what to do... How do I join the FB group? Excited to find this thread of Disney Family!
This is me! I just changed my user name. Other one was a bit too long. Could you please add our family to the list? I will try the FB link you sent. Thanks.
DH (37), DS (11), DS (7) and I (38) will be returning to WDW Jan 25-Feb 2 staying at All-Star Sports. This will be our fourth trip to WDW in January. The boys will be surprised on Christmas Day with the trip. We went once before children, once with our oldest was 6 and then our last trip was with both boys two years ago. We spend little time in the resort and have always stayed at Sports. This year I debated trying a moderate for just $200 more, but didn't see anything to draw me there since we have never swam during January. Looking forward to the countdown with you guys. Any ideas for surprising my kids on Christmas Day?![]()
Hi! Thought I would pop in on this thread. My new hubby and I will be heading to DisneyWorld for our honeymoon January 5-17, spending our first 10 nights POR and then splurging on 2 nights at AKL Club Level. We have never been to DisneyWorld, but are Disneyland annual passholders from San Francisco area. We usually get to Anahiem once every 4-6 months for a quick trip but planning our honeymoon has taken on a life of its own. If anyone is willing to look over my plans for each day and ADRs, I would super appreciate it. I'm worried that I've got it all wrong.
Hi!Someone linked to this thread elsewhere and I thought I'd sign up.
I'd forgotten there were monthly threads in here.
Our family will be in Orlando January 7-18, and we hope to do all four WDW parks while we're there. I'm the instigator, then there's hubby, DD19, DS18, DS16, DD15 and DD12. We're staying offsite because we like our space. We originally planned to go in May, which is when we've gone before, but things changed.

January's a good time to go, right?I said we've gone in May before, but that's just to Orlando -- only DD15 and I have been to any of the Disney parks. We've both done a half day at the Magic Kingdom (with the Give a Day thingie in 2010) and we've both been to Disneyland -- although I was in DL in the 1970s, while DD was there in 2010.
No one else was interested in WDW in 2010, and in 2011 they all voted for SeaWorld again.
So I'm hoping to convert a few this time around.
I FINALLY made my reservations for January, trudged off to my second seasonal retail job which is going toward paying for Disney, and when I take my break I find a text on my phone from my best friend who is coming with me that she got a Free Dining PIN! Hallelujah!
We're going to be at Kidani from 1/13-1/21.. Getting so excited!
***I know this may sound crazy, but I have a 6 year old little Girl Scout Daisy who I'd love to have meet up with another little girl scout! Just for 5 minutes...was thinking maybe a patch exchange, a GS handshake, the GS promise and a pic?? Let me know if anyone is interested!!!***
Thanks!
Jen
We are visiting POR on P/S/D from 1/26-1/30. I made ADR's for:

Add us in!
Me, my ds(12), and dd (10) will arrive 1/2 to 1/7 staying at POR-- garden view -- so please add me to the list. I would appreciate a room recommendation for POR. I have only read about Oak Manner but don't have a royal room so would love a recommendation. Dh and am oldest (college boy) are staying home. We hope to surprise kids at Christmas. Can't wait! Thanks, Megan
Please add us in Jan 26-Feb 4th. I just read something about a crowd due to EMH DAYS????? 'What is that....about to make my ADR'S...
Been meaning to say our jan trip was cancelled. When I tried switching races they were all full. And I didn't feel like biting off more than I can chew. So no Jan trip. I will be coming in Feb instead for the princess half. But no Jan trip this. I will update my Jan PTR to show the ADRs I have before making it a Feb PTR.. If anyone wants them PM me with a time in mind before Friday when I will be canceling all of them.
I DID IT! I just booked for Jan. 29-Feb. 3 at the CSR. I AM SO EXCITED! I hooted and hollered when I got the confirmation email. Now comes the long wait....
LET'S ROCK DISNEYWORLD JANUARY DISSERS!

Yay!! Solo trip Jan 21-25
AoA Little Mermaid !!!
Ok, post Hurricane Sandy and I am again "on board"! Lol. Just made Afternoon Tea reservations at the Grand Floridian for our arrival day and Fantasmic! Package lunch reservations at Brown Derby and show time at 6:30. Nothing available at Be Our Guest the entire time we are there, but that's ok. Will wait a bit to see what our cast member friends' schedules are, then I'll see about Rose & Crown, Chefs de France, and Il Mulino reservations.
Can't wait until January!!!!

I have a family of 5: me, hubby, 2 boys 17 and 15 and a girl 11. We went to Disneyworld on free dining in Sept 08. We did not visit Universal at all that trip. They are all HUGE Harry Potter fans, plus the boys are bigger and like the rollercoasters now. Last time I planned my trip a year in advance or more. Grin.. now oldest wants to do this as his senior trip. So we are looking at going sometime between 3rd or 4th of January and leaving the 11th or 12th. My guess is that we will spend the 3rd to the 5th with them in Tampa and then go on to the Orlando area.
I had such a detailed itinerary last time and this feels so incredibly last minute. I know we will probably spend 2 or 3 days in the Universal area, but then 4 or 5 days at Disney I guess.
Any tips? Since we stay offsite, it looks like maybe the 5 day tickets to disney are the best value.
I am so excited! 47 more days for us and I can barely contain myself. What is everyone else doing to satisfy their love of Disney?
I'm planning to make some little boxed surprises as a countdown for my 7 yr old DS -- I have pins for trading and stickers for his journal -- does anyone have other ideas for very small items I could put in there? I was thinking about candy or money. The boxes are quite small...about the size of a ring box.
I'm arriving on December 31st, but my trip is mostly in January, until the 10th.I'll come back later with which resorts (yes, two resorts) we'll be staying at.
I thought I'd posted here before, but I don't see me on the list.
Could you add me?

Hi All,
I love reading all the posts, but my eyes are blurry now. I have a question. My DH and I would like to visit Disney in mid- January 2013 and would like to get the best deal we can get, (like most people would) The last time we went was in 2009 and had free dining.
1.Are there any free dining deals going on that I could book with, or am I too late.
2. We could go with AAA, would we do better with them?
Also I did receive a discount code in the mail, but can't find it now, maybe because it expired?
Any advise would be great.
Thank you in advance,
Peggy
I'm so excited, it's been 7 years since our last trip and I just booked my family for Jan 23-30th. My DH (39) DS(11) DD(8) me (34) plus my IL's will be staying at the All Star Music. This is my 4th trip to WDW but first time staying on property. We will also be celebrating my DD's 9th birthday and my FIL's bday while we are there. I know we can get the birthday pins, and special ordered Bday cakes, are there any other "special" bday things we can do while there? TIA
If you have certain table service meals and you mention its a birthday when you book, you can get a cupcake and card signed by all the characters at the meal.
Can we update our trip.. We arrive on the 22nd late and will stay at ASM and then a week 7 nights at Beach Club villas in a studio and then 3 nights at AKL savannah view Jambo house in a studio. This is our very first trip to the World and bringing our two boys 3 and 6!! So so excited and have learned so much from all of you!! Thank You!!!
We will be at POR Jan 6-11. This will be our little princess's first Disney trip![]()

The best reasons for January are lower crowds, cooler/nicer weather and decent discounts. However, this January may be a bit more crowded due to FLE.
Yeah, the FLE worries me a bit, especially since most of it officially opens right in Christmas season, so January's the most logical choice if someone can go then and doesn't want to wait until it's all done. Touring plans and Easy WDW both have the crowd levels well below when we've gone in May, though, and we did DL in the summer, so I figure for sure they won't be any worse than when we've gone before!

I have been dreaming about going since I was a little girl. For the last 10 years I have been trying to plan a trip but something ALWAYS came up. Not this time! We are booked, paid in full, flights bought...we are going!!
I just had to share! I have been running all over the house yelling "im going to Disney World" lol.
Thanks for understanding!
