Only 40 more days until we leave for our New Year's weekend trip!

We will be staying at AKLV for the first time and can't wait to see all the decorations, etc. With only three days in the parks, we can't do everything anyway, so we will just have to save whatever is closed for refurb until our next trip.

9 weeks from right now we will be enjoying the start of 7 glorious nights. The 1st 2 @ POP ( never stayed there before) followed by 5 more in our new HOME, VWL. Jan 23rd - Jan 30th

Weather can be all over the map in January. We went in 2007, and in a 7 day span, we wore tanks and shorts and swam in the pools AND wore heavy jeans, long sleeved shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodie jackets over that, and shivered at the parks. The average low in January is 50, average high is 72. Record low- 19, record high- 87. Average precip is 2.43 inches, with an avg of 7 rainy days for the month.

Pack for all weather, and pack lots of lightweight layers. You can peel off or add on as needed- we packed shorts, tanks, T's, long sleeved T's, sweatshirts, capris, jeans, light jackets, windbreaker-type, waterproof hoodies, and hats/gloves. We ended up wearing a little of everything we packed (except the hats/gloves).

We'll be there in January too. DH and I are taking a VERY belated honeymoon, and, thanks to the 4/3 deal, we'll be staying at the Contemporary. We'll also be celebrating my birthday. Our dates are January 21-28.

We were there last year Jan 5 through 12 and for 5 days out of 7 the weather was over 80! It was great. Only one day was it a little chilly, but still warm in the sun. However, the week before, people were complaining because it was in the 50s!

I brought pants and sweatshirts, along with tees and shorts. Never wore pants at all and only needed jackets, sweatshirts on one night.

You never know, so pack everything!

Great! Thank you! This really helps me! I was just started to think about what should be packed and now I know everything! Hopefully the weather will be nice the 18th through the 25 !!

This weather sounds great. I'm hoping that it's just like this when we get there January 3, coming off the DCL cruise. We are hoping for the best.

I bought my sister her Christmas gift today at the Disney store, an ornament and a gift card. I am taking her for a short trip for my 40th birthday. We will be AKV Jan. 11-14. I hope it will get her excited for our trip. I am hoping for at least jeans and sweatshirt weather. It will be better then the weather in MI.

We are stopping in WDW Jan 13-16 for a quick trip before going down to Jupiter for my new nephews christening!! Can't be in Florida without stopping. And yes my family thinks I am crazy!!
