Official: January 2009

I'm 21 going on 22 next month and i am guilty of being a picky eater too. who says kids grow out of it? lol.

Yeah i noticed splash is going to be down, which is sad because i wanted my boyfriend to get on all the moutains since its his first trip there. oh well.

Yeah I will be missing Splash Mountain, it's one of my favorites. Now that I am thinking about it, it was the last ride we rode the last night we were there in August. So sad:sad1:
Well at least your bf will get to try out the other mountains...:goodvibes and when you head over to Expedition Everest at AK try to sit in the last row and when you are going backwards, close your eyes and it almost feels like you are going upside down. :thumbsup2

And Happy pre Birthday Steffali! :cake:

We will get to do Splash, since we arrive on the 16th and leave on the 26th, but we will miss Philharmagic! I love that attraction, so I will be sad to miss it. DD will be happy, though- she doesn't like any of the 3D movies for some reason. :confused3

Out timing works well too, we'll be there for Dumbo and for Splash too.

Aww how can your DD not like 3d rides? i think they are some of the most fun attractions.

How is the weather typically in jan? I'm wondering what i am going to need to pack.

I don't know why she doesn't like 3D movies- I guess I didn't raise her right... :rotfl: . I love them!! She usually allows us to get her on 1 per trip, but never ITTBAB. She absolutely HATES that one!

Weather in January can be all over the place, from windy and rainy with lows in the 40's to sunny with highs in the 80's. We find that dressing in layers works best- a short sleeved T under a fleece hoodie under a waterproof windbreaker, for example. We add/take off layers as needed throughout the day and evening.

I tend to pack a little of everything- shorts, Ts, sweatshirts, jeans, etc. If we find we're wearing more of one thing than anything else, we do a load of laundry halfway through the trip.

yeah, i figured itd be a pack every kind of clothing sort of deal. thank god living in NYC i do have clothing for all temps!

We will be at the world 1/23 through 1/28 our second January in a row. We have been april vacation week and the first week in may but prefer January so much better. it makes it all the better than my job sends me to Tampa every January, so my airfare and rental car are covered. The weather is all over the place but I think most of us are coming from places where there will probably be snow on the ground when we leave and when we get back so it's all good no matter what. We were there for marathon weekend and didn't have any problems. Can't wait at ths point so much planning to do.....

You will love, love , love AKV. I had my first trip home this past August and it was amazing. Actually, I made reservations yesterday for October 09 for a Kidani studio. It's a sickness:lmao:

We are staying at Pop from January 18-25. Booked a while ago but today called and they got me the buy 4 get three!! So excited about that!! :dance3:
My DH (turned 30) Me (turning 25) DD (turned 2) and my DD (will be 1 year on the trip) we are going to have fun all week long!! :cheer2:

When is a good time to buy plane tickets? :confused3 We are going 1/16 - 1/24 from Mass. The ticket prices are still a little steep. Will they go down or is this as good as it gets??:rolleyes1

I bought our plane tickets months ago. If you see a price that comes close to your price I would grab it. It is getting close. My sister and I will be there to celebrate my 40th birthday, Jan. 11-14. We have never went on vacation together alone. She has left all the planning up to me. We are both huge Disney fanatics, so it should be fun.

With the discount, we were able to switch our January 4-11 trip from CBR to the Beach Club for only $200 more! :cool1:

PS I'm from MA as well, and we also bought our plane tickets months ago when they were cheap. I'd look all over for discounts and book it soon!

I know I am kicking myself now for waiting. :sad2: They shot up from 199 to 349 in one night! The lowest price I found was $1214.00 for all 4 of us on Southwest. I'll give it until next week, then I will book.:scared:

hey Cloudless, we'll be there the same week! 5th-10th. very excited, never done the january trip before. used to summer trips, actually! so im sure it'll be a big difference.

not too long now!

My husband and I are going January 7th-21st to celebrate our birthdays! :cloud9: :wizard:

We're in UK and bought the holiday less than a week ago and it was AMAZINGLY cheap! It's more expensive now. The park tickets suddenly got loads more expensive a couple of days ago, but luckily we'd ordered them at the old price and in the end we got them for the price we were promised!
:banana::yay:

If any one is staying at POP, we have Jan 14th-24th open in our FREE fridge and coffeepot swap. The thread is in my signature.

thanks,
