We are considering going twice as well. Once for the special events, fireworks and parade and then another time to see the fireworks again and meet characters.

I have to say though, the prices for these are getting cray-cray! :) In a few years it will cost more to go to a special event than it will to enter the park for a single day.

:banana::banana::banana:

we are going on Dec 3rd! can't wait!

Awesome! I think we'll go on the 5th. And thank goodness dd will still be 2 years old and free. I don't know how people do it with like 5 kids....ouch $$$$

My family is planning on going on the 20th of December.I know it's the last and most expensive one but it's the only one we will be able to fit into our schedule.I know it usually seels out.Can someone please tell me when it usually does so I don't miss getting tickets for it.

It varies. I recall one year (maybe 2012) it sold out the night before the party. I recall in 2009 that it sold out rather quickly. By October I think. I would have to go back and check my spreadsheet.

I am torn right now on either Dec 19th or 20th. I have to wait to see when I get a flight down for our trip. If I can't get a decent price for a flight for the 20th. I have to wait for the Airtran and the Frontier flights to open up for Dec before I can pick my party date. I am thinking most likely it will be on the 20th that we will go, but I don't know.

If the last party is on the 20th, that means that starting on the 21st the Christmas parade will be going on during the day, right?? Can't afford the party, but we really want to see the parade!!

In theory, yes. :)

Is it really the same parade and fireworks during Christmas week? Just curious and we are going with a large group and we were thinking of doing the party on the 19th, but our actual vacation at Disney doesn't start until the 22nd when we check in to our resort . . . We are debating whether it is worth it to go to the party, when we can see those for no extra cost later in the week . . . (My thought is that it is going to be soooo crowded that we may not be able to enjoy the parade as much . . . ):confused3

I believe they are. What you don't get during those days are the dance party, cookies, hot cocoa, etc.
