I am planning to spend the morning at Epcot and then head to Beaches and Cream for a 1:20 lunch reservation. I will have my DS4 with me. I understand there is a boat or we can walk. Which is better/faster and where is the boat located? Thank you!

You will exit out the back door, the International Gateway, to get to the boat/walkway. This can be found at the back of the park, in WS. As you walk up the hill from the UK, there is a bridge to the left, towards France, or you can go straight and down the hill. You want to go straight and down the hill, and exit through the turnstile area. You will see the boat dock to your left. If you choose to take the boat, it will take about 10 mins, once on the boat. The boat will go to BW first, then to YC/BC. The walk is an easy one. Continue walking straight, past the boat dock (on your left), go up the slight rise. There will be a bridge on your left that takes you to BW. Just keep walking straight. When you get to BC (just down the walkway a bit) on your right (lake on the left) go in through the main entrance. Then, you just go left and follow the hallway until you get to the outside area, where the pool is, and you'll come to Beaches and Cream. It's very easy.
If you have a 1:20 ADR, I would plan on exiting Epcot no later than 12:55 depending on where you are in the park. If you're already in WS, close to the UK or France, then you can leave a bit later....say 1:05ish. But if you're in the front of the park, you need to leave enough time to get to the back of the park.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate this info! Do you happen to know how long the walk is? I am fine with walking. I'm just thinking of my four-year-old. I'm still up in the air about taking a stroller.

Under 10 mins, at a normal, relaxed pace. Shouldn't be tough on the little one. I would just leave plenty of time for dawdling!!! 'Cause that's what 4 y/o's do best!!!

LOL! Thanks so much. You are definitely right! I am usually pretty fast-paced, but I try to remember to add in extra time for him and enjoy this stop-and-smell-the-roses stage that I know goes by so quickly, to be patient and to just dawdle right along with him, especially while on vacation!!!

Bus to MK, then monorail or boat to the Polynesian. Ask the bus driver which is faster....he may offer to drop you off right at the Polynesian! Doesn't always happen, but it might.

As a fellow Mommy and a teacher of 4 year olds, I think he might enjoy the boat ride. It is pretty cool. We ride it every trip just for the experience whether we have a place to go or not. This way you can save his energy for when you really need him to walk, and have a relaxing and scenic little boat trip.

Anyone know approximately what time the first buses usually run to MK and AK from the yacht club (on non EMH mornings)? This thread seems to indicate around 6:30am is that correct?

As a fellow Mommy and a teacher of 4 year olds, I think he might enjoy the boat ride. It is pretty cool. We ride it every trip just for the experience whether we have a place to go or not. This way you can save his energy for when you really need him to walk, and have a relaxing and scenic little boat trip.

If you choose the boat, you need to leave more travel time. If the boat isn't in sight, or is just leaving the dock, it could be up to 20 mins before the next one comes. Also, if you're first on the boat, you may sit for a bit, waiting for others to get there. So, plan accordingly.

Yes, the buses start running by 6:30 each morning. BUT....they don't run as often as the regular park buses do (an hour prior to park opening). If you just miss one, it could be 20 mins before another comes.

How about an 8:00 EMH opening? I am not sure how early we should aim for as far as arrival time goes......I don't think we want to get to any of the parks 5 minutes before they open, I've seen scary videos of MK at RD and don't want to be behind THAT crowd . So at the bus stop by 7:30 should be ok for a 9 a.m. MK RD? We are generally early morning people anyway so getting there early won't be a problem. And I'm going to assume (hopefully I'm not totally wrong!) that the 8 a.m. AK RD on a Sunday morning isn't going to be quite as crazy as the Friday morning MK 9 a.m. RD.....I hope

Or boat to Contemporary, then monorail to Poly. The boat to MK may not be running early enough for your breakfast; the boat to CR starts at 6:45 every day.

On 09/13/2015, Hollywood Studios has Fantasmic from 8:00pm-8:30pm. Afterward, I want to visit Downtown Disney, pick up some food to-go, then go back to All-Star Sports resort. I need to wake up at 7:30am the next day. Is it advisable?

How long would it take to get out of Hollywood Studios after Fantasmic? How long is the bus ride to/from Downtown Disney? Thank you!

January 6th, I'm hoping for a Pirates and Pals cruise from the Contemporary. I need to be there by 6:30. If we have dinner at Raglan Road at 4:30, I'm thinking we'll be done by 5:30 and would have an hour to get to the Contemporary.

Is it better to take a bus, a boat to PO and a bus or should I get a cab? Is an hour enough time?
