Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

If our flight is at 1040am, when should we expect to get on ME? Or in other words, how much time should I prepare for time between resort and airport? I assumed we will want to be arrive at the airport 1.5 hours before departure time.

There are other more in depth threads on the Transportation Board for this question. DME will pick you up at 7:40. Do not be late.

Late spring reports out of MCO were that TSA was making people late for their flights. Lines of up to 3 hours have been reported across the country. Some are choosing to have DME transfer them much earlier to avoid issues. I would never think that 1 1/2 hours is enough time in Orlando. We used to try for 2 hours, but will be arriving earlier or signing up for TSA precheck before we fly again. MCO is always busy.

Your pick up time will be around 7:40...give or take 15 mins on either side. It depends on your resort. You need to be out at the bus stop, no less than 15 mins prior to your pick up time. The stated time is when the bus is supposed to leave the resort, not the time you should head to the stop. Everyone in your group should be ready to board the bus at this time.
Please, don't be that person who runs up to the bus, and tells the driver that the rest of your party is on the way!!! Had that happen several times, and we sat there, waiting, for close to 15 mins!! One time we actually left without the rest of the group!!

To the best of my knowledge, the boats are accessible. To be 100% sure, I would just head down to the boat dock, before you plan on taking a boat, and ask the boat CMs. Then, if something has, in fact, changed, you can make alternative plans. But, the boat to the MK and then boat to FtW is the easiest route.

Most of the boats from MK to FtW are wheelchair accessible, except in times of low water, which should not be a problem this year.

I think they may sometimes put one of the small launches on the route, but I'm pretty sure that's not the norm.

Thank you both for the information!

Traveling from POP to MK for an early morning tour. Cast member recommended a taxi to the Contemporary and then walk the walkway to MK.

I'm wondering what time to leave POP to make a 7:45am check in time at the Time Square Theater, MK.

Not sure if it being Dec 27 will have an impact on travel times.

Any idea what the taxi will cost from POP to the Contemporary?

Drive time is 15-20 minutes, plus 10 minutes walk from CR to MK, so about 45 minutes ahead should be comfortable.

Based on history, the MK is likely to be opening at 8 or even 7am for EMH all that week, so buses should be running normally by then. If you like, you could go to the bus stop a bit over an hour before your tour, and if no MK bus shows up within 15-20 minutes, just walk around the corner to the bell station for a cab. Cabs are usually stacked in the parking lot just waiting to be called.

Okay. Going from All Start Sports to Cape May on Dec. 24th for a 805am reservation, then to Epcot for the day. Easiest route?

I believe you can take a bus to DHS, then take the boat to EPCOT/International Gateway, and walk to Cape May from there. Then afterwards, head back to Epcot the same way you came towards the International Gateway.

Uber...
Otherwise, Bus to AK, then bus to Yacht Club, let driver know what you're doing, they can communicate with each other, and driver of first bus may help arrange it so you're not waiting 20 minutes for the next bus to YC. Faster than boat to and from anywhere.
That's if AK open that early, sorry.
Quite honestly, the hassle of busing and/or boating and walking would be a huge pain. Far faster (and less stressful) to Uber over.

The issue will be the boats. The boats usually start running about an hour prior to park opening. So, if DHS is open at 8, no problem. But if it opens at 9, the boats won't be running early enough to get you to Cape May for 8:05. But, if you get a bus by 7, you will have time to walk to the BC from DHS.

We have 7:25 Chef Mickey at The Contemporary Resort. We are at Coronado and will be driving our car. What time does the TTC open so we can park our car and jump on the monorail to get to the Contemporary resort? Or should we just part at the Contemporary?

TTC will be open early enough. Go to TTC, park, take the monorail or boat to MK and then walk 5 minutes to Contemporary. If you park at Contemporary you will then have to move your car after breakfast, which is a pain.
The other option is to valet park (I believe it is still $25.00) and you can park there all day.

This is not quite correct.

The parking lot at TTC never closes. But the Express Monorail & Ferryboat to MK do not run that early.

On most days, the Resort Monorail starts running at 7am; you would want to be there a bit earlier to get on the first train leaving TTC. There's no point in getting off at the MK and walking; just stay on the train as CR is the next stop.

On some days, the Resort Monorail opens at 8:30. On those days there should be buses running in it's place. See this thread for more info. It's probably worth it to park at CR for peace of mind if you have an early reservation on one of those mornings (generally Mondays & Tuesdays.)
