Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

Nope not sad at all. I like when they shows go rerun free but I know they can't all do that.

Of course I use the end of December/first of January to catch up on the shows I've tivoed. I have all of Prision Break and Desperate housewives from this season and then the last couple of episodes of ER and Without a Trace.

Is it a sign I watch way too much when I can't keep up with the new ones?

Maybe Power of Persuasion girl will be killed by Sylar. I think that DL will be saved by Nikki. Jessica will shoot the gun but Nikki will take over and move the gun to the side. Sylar is a real nut job. I'm still trying to figure out Claire's dad.

Very well thought out....like it.

Also...maybe Power of Persuasion teams up with Sylar and kills the Mind Blocker/Eraser guy. If you think about it, he is certainly one to take out.

Did anybody else pick up on this? I'm trying to remember all of the details, so someone please correct me if I am remembering this incorrectly. But I think there was a scene in the show where Mohinder's dad first met with Sylar, and he was telling him that mutations are like tumors (or something like that). And later, Charlie revealed to Hiro that she had a brain tumor, which is interesting because maybe that tumor is what gave her the ability to learn a lot of information quickly. So basically the thing that gave her a super-power is also going to kill her.

(My gosh, did I word that poorly! But I am having a hard time getting my thoughts together today.)

Oh yes, DL is so fine. There are some real cuties on this show.

No...what effect? what do you think it meant?

I thought that for sure it would be DL to die next week. Then I got to thinking that if he can put his hand through metal, can the metal of the bullet pass through him without causing any harm? So, I'm not sure.

I think he has to turn it on and off otherwise his hand would go through picture frames, metal folding chairs, etc. I think unless he saw it coming he would die from an oncoming bullet.

Personally, I'm hoping that Radioactive Man isn't handling things too well and kills himself. I just don't know if I want to give up any of the other characters yet. This has got me concerned and of course, you know thats probably gonna be the cliff hanger.
And I felt so sorry for Hiro that he couldn't save her. Maybe this is what starts bringing out the Hiro we saw in the future. Totally addicted.

If the producers want to go for an impact with the death, it will be someone we're familiar with and not someone we won't miss. The Haitian or Radioactive Man dying wouldn't have the same impact as Niki or Matt.

I don't think it will be Hiro, Nathan, Peter, or Isaac. If future events we've seen are supposed to come, they all play a role. Claire is too popular (despite winning homecoming queen on the strength of the unpopular kids' vote ), Sylar makes too interesting of a villain with some good potential; Micah is just a kid, and I don't think they'll kill off a kid; and I don't think Niki's story is near over.

That leaves DL, Eden, and Matt.

They said "a hero" dies.

My theory on who will die.

DL will die in the next episode, but do not fret. Micah will heal him, the way he healed the broken telephone.

DL dying may be the cliffhanger, with Michah healing in January or Micah healing maybe the cliffhanger.

But, and I'm no scientist, if DL could HEAR the shot before it hit him, he could potentially turn on the power so the bullet would pass through him.

I like the cliffhanger of Micah saving his father. That would make for an interesting twist.

I also like the idea of the "hero" who dies being a cop or fireman, but I think the producers will want to have more of an affect on us than to do that.

Milo Ventimiglia (Peter) said in Entertainment Weekley his hair drives him crazy too but the director or producer (can't remember which) want him to keep his hair that way. He said they compromise in an upcoming episode

The eclipse effect is the opening theme of Heroes every week. Nothing is coincidental in this show. I love it!
