Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

Strange. The listings for NBC were updated over the weekend and an obvious error was fixed, specifically the erroneous information that Heroes would have 26 episodes this season. (I suspect that the last time a scripted drama got a 26 epiosde order for a single season was before a significant number of folks here were born. :rotfl: ) Anyway, so the listings are back to showing the correct number of episodes, 25, but they show the finale on April 27, during the very first week of May sweeps. During the last three Mondays of May sweeps, NBC is showing Medium, instead (two back-to-back episodes, each week).

I liked the twist they put in this one.

Yeah for Peter and the hug! He is getting a brain this go around.

Why didn't Sylar use some of the powers he picked up? Like the one to know history about what ever or whomever he touched?

Morally grey/gray is so in this season!

And what/who in the heck side is Nathan on?

Think the Hunter is hiding something, liek a power of his own?:confused3
anyone else surprised at Dolan's appearence? CRRRReeepppyyy! and solidifies my opinion on who Rebel is.

Shades of Gray which is Sylars story with his dad next week, a week off and then off we go again.

When Peter went to hug Nathan, I was yelling "Don't be stupid!" But he turned it around on him.

As far as Sylar's powers, I think the writers gave him so many they forgot what he can do. They usually just focus on his telekenetic powers with a secondary power being featured (ie lie detector). Once in awhile they throw something else in there and I'm like "oh, yeah." But you are right, there are times he should have used his other powers like history, super-hearing, and gunshootin' fingers. I guess we now know why his preferred method of killing is brainslicing-finger. Interesting that they named this character Gabriel Grey. Obviously after Jean Grey (Phoenix in Xmen).

I really don't think the writers have any idea what they are planning to do with the Nathan storyline. Any reason he has given for "doing this" is pathetically weak. As far as the Living Skull is concerned, (my nickname for the Hunter) he is probably hiding a power. In fact, I would be surprised if he wasn't.

The Puppet Master returns. I assumed Sylar killed him. I did wonder why he didn't take PM's power. It would have served him well in recent eps.

I'm leaning towards Micah being Rebel. Being a child, he is not on the "list." He also has the ability to talk to machines which would make sending texts, faxes, and IMs to various people at any time a breeze. He would easily be able to find out anything and know where anyone was as long as they were logged in to a PC or phone. The appearance of PM might make one believe that Meredith was guiding him, but Micah would easily be able to contact all these people via technology more so than a firestarter.

I guess we'll find out.

Anybody watch this week or are we kind of giving up? I thought this week's was better than last, but it might have been because I was in a better mood.

I thought it was Noah who killed Puppet Master. I thought he shot him so that Sylar couldn't take his power during that whole Saw-like episode. :-)

I'm hanging in there this season, but just barely. Nothing is interesting. Parkman has a bomb. Oh, don't worry, Nathan's there to rip out the right wire. PM showed up. Oh, don't worry, Clare's going to save him for no reason. Who cares?

Even the stuff with Sylar's dad was not as cool as I thought. Why is Sylar SO GULLIBLE all the time? He believes everything everyone tells him, even when he knows better. And why did he act surprised that his dad had a power? He saw his dad kill his mom! I wanted to see both of them use their powers more.

Oh, how I miss the first season. When Mama Petrelli eating oysters and coyly answering questions is the most interesting scene, the show has problems. :-)

P.S. I'm rooting for Micah as Rebel as well. It'll be nice to see him "grown up"--he's at the age that I bet he looks completely different than he did the first few seasons.

Duh! Once I read this it totally makes sense. Especially last night when the people at command central--or whatever it's called, just could not figure out how this person was hacking into their system. I miss Micah and his cousin. I think you are on to something!!! I am enjoying this season, although when I watched this week's episode I was hoping HRG would push that evil guy out of the window like he pushed Nathan...alas, that did not happen.

Well, where is everybody? Are we all giving up? :confused3 I'm still hanging in there because of Sylar.

This episode started out with a magnificent bang. Although we did not see our favorite serial killer, we did see his beautiful window display. Then the show completely petered out into sappy stupidity.

We did get the reveal of Rebel which was who many of us suspected. The bulk of the show was highly predictable. Tracy gave herself up so Rebel could run. Now that she is gone I suppose Barbara (sister #3) will be making an appearance soon. What was with that wink at the end? A signal to the viewer perhaps, but stupid nonetheless.

So what was up with the whole Daphne thing? We see Daphne riddled with bullets, but somehow she only has one gunshot wound. Then she dies. Why bother? Was it simply done to give Matt closure so he could get back with Janice? Did the writers think it would make a difference? At that last scene which was supposed to be touching and romantic just came off as sappy and stupid to me.

So next week our evil Hero continues his showdown with the human skull. I am looking forward to that, but the rest is so uninteresting to me. :guilty:

I enjoyed Monday's episode. I am actually enjoying this season quite a bit. I thought maybe Tracy could re-assemble? I was suprised she could freeze herself anyways...Claire's bio mom can't burn herself up...oh wait maybe she did...but maybe she didn't? I was happy to see Micah back...what happened to his cousin? the muscle mimic?

I'm still a bit confused abotu how Micah could be doing some of what Rebel is up to. How would he know for Hiro to show up at THAT moment to rescue MP Jr., etc? I always thought Mama Petrelli was involved somehow with the future seeing stuff....

I hate that they killed Daphne off. I mean, are we supposed to start cheering for Matt to end up with the chick who slept around on him so much even SHE didn't think the child was his?

I'm wondering if maybe Tracy isn't really dead. Otherwise, WTH was the wink about?

I don't think that was a wink from Traci, I thought I saw a tear like she was able to cry at least for her own sacrafice. I wondered if anyone else noticed that it doesn't pay to be a female on this series. Most of the main characters that get killed are the female ones except Claire, who is of course, indestructible. I am the odd man out, except for all the end to characters, I thought the episode had more variety. Loved that we have Hiro and Ando back in action because that sequence was a hoot! I am sad to see Daphne go, she had a cool power and a lot of potenial for story lines.

If Micah is monitoring the orders on their computers, he can see that there are orders going after Baby Parkman and mom next then send someone to intercept. In this case, Hiro and Ando.

Then again, he might be working with Angela. You never know with her...

So true. It was a great epi and I can't wait to see more.

Oh, and i sent you something special (PM), I hope it shows for ya! And if you need some sites to read reviews, spoilers etc, let me know!

How can one episode that I thought would be slow, end so quickly? Wow! It is only getting better & better.:worship:

Did Noah know that Peter was in the other room or did he just see Angela? How was Clair planning to get back into the country, for pitty's sake?
Danko & Syler? How off the wall is that match? And looking at your own self while killing yourself?

Do you think Noah thought it was really Syler?

4 to go...how will we last the summer?

Jody, I found it!! http://www.greggrunberg.com/photos/view/?cid=26166_image_33

Come on guys. Don't leave me hanging here by myself!! Tell me what you think about the last one if not the last 2!!

And next week, Nathan against Danko & Sylar... gotta have some comment!
:goodvibes

I am getting back into it. I wasn't liking this season so much, and I still don't think it's as strong as it used to be, but going back to the roots of the company makes me happy.

This episode was a bit slower than the last one, but I did like the teen actors and finding out what some/part of Charles' powers were.

I thought this week's was soooo boring. On the whole, what did we find out? Angela has a sister who has died. Except she hasn't died. Except now she'll never see her again. WTH? I thought the flashbacks were going to lead to more.

Quick question: who were Bishop and Deveraux, the two teenagers with Angela at the facility? I recognized Linderman (and well done to the actor who got his accent spot on!), but I can't remember an older black man with Parkman's powers. Am I missing something?

ETA: DUH. Deveraux was Simone's dad, who Peter was a nurse for. And I guess Bishop was Elle's dad, the guy who did Alchemy? I didn't put two and two together there. Sorry, sorry. See what a little google search will get you? lol.

It was a it slow, but at least we got to see how/why the company started, In a weird way cause it didn't quite match up to the graphic novel... though maybe it did since that was Angela and companies vies and the GN was Arthur's view. I guess Arthur was one of the "synthitic ones", sice he didn't have powers in the GN.

Next week's is called "I am Sylar" and I saw a pix of Sylar finger pointing one of our Heroe's foreheads!:scared1:

Two more to go...!

Two more to go until the series finale? Or two more to go until the season finale? It's hard to keep straight what's been cancelled, what hasn't been announced as cancelled but might be on the chopping block, and what's gotten renewed.

Yeah, Bishop was Bob. Thanks for that reminder about Deveraux. I couldn't recall who he was as a grown up.
