**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Selling out at 12 pm for a 12:30 pm show doesn't seem too bad. Is there a bad seat in the theater?

Also, what time did they start handing out non-package tickets for the show. Thinking I might line up right at rope drop to get tickets and then move on to the parade route. Does the whole group have to be together to get tickets to the sing-along or can I line up for all six in my party?

TIA!

All must be present. I got 230 tix at around 1pm. Not sure if you can pick time. The line to get in theater with tix is hundreds long. Must hold a lot!

*There's one line to check in and get your package lanyard, then another to select your singalong tickets.

Just curious... are the lines split right away or at 10am and you have to choose which line you get in first or does everyone get their lanyard and then go to the sing-a-long ticket line? Hope my question made sense.

Having taught ice skating for quite some time- I have seen a lot of head injuries. It is a smart move by Disney. (Even more so now that I read all the skaters are hockey skates. Beginners tend to go over backwards on those a lot more due to the blade shape. The tail of the figure skate helps that.)

I thought it was super weird that they chose hockey skates too. CM's said they assume it had to do with the event being put together in a week. :confused3

People did surprisingly well though. I was impressed, most people remained upright the whole time. Better than most public sessions!

She is so excited!

Since I will be walking behind the parade I can't take pics of her, so if anyone is here today and watchibg please snap me a few! She is wearing a multi colored polka dot dress with a Minnie girl holding balloons on the top and Goofy holding popcorn on the skirt part. Please and thank you!!!!

KennythePirate.com posted a great video of the parade which included the kids picked to walk - check it out - sure you'll find yourselves!

You would have to have your lanyard first before you are given a show time for the sing-along. That way they don't have to double-check paperwork... the lanyard identifies you as a Premium Package guest.

Ok, I am back, and can answer questions. I'm not going back for the dancing or fireworks due to the crowds and heat. Overall, I was underwhelmed. I love Disney and have been more times than I can count. But, the Frozen event seemed very thrown together.

My 9 year old daughter and I got there at park opening. Wanted to be earlier, but buses were running slow. We went straight to Oaken by about 9:15 and the merchandise line was wrapped in front of Toy Story and easily 2 hours. I went down and talked to a manager who said the ice skating line would drop you into the store, so we did that. We were in and out of Oaken with 2 Elsa dresses, 1 Anna dress, and 2 Elsa/Anna flip dolls within 20 minutes. The check out line was ridiculous, but the snack line checked me and some other lucky customers out with a 1-2 person line. (I heard our quick way in may already have ended, and I'm really disappointed how Disney squirreled away all Frozen merchandise for today.)

Inside Oaken we saw a place to take a picture using an app, ice skating, snacks (adorable but $$), and some kid snow sandbox that we couldn't get near.

Later, we saw the parade. It was crowded. Like really really crowded, so we waited 30 minutes in a decent spot. Someone fainted from the heat near us. Parade was cute. It's some ice skaters, skiers, Elsa/Anna, a house, ice men, Kristoff (one of the most realistic characters I've ever seen), and some visitors in villager garb. Incredibly short. We followed it toward the hat but skipped the welcome for a fastpass.

The singalong was filling up about an hour early for the 12:30 show, so we ate lunch and then got a pass for the 1:30 show at about 12. We rode a ride, ate a snack, and went back at 1:15. Very crowded. We were seated in bleachers in the back and someone tripped because they turned the lights off and the show started a bit late. Overall, I liked the singalong. Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff make an appearance and the whole thing is told by Arrendale historians. Then we left because after Epcot's fireworks crowd last night, I needed a break.

Hope that helps. I'd give Disney a solid C on this whole thing. They tried, but to me the magic just wasn't there.

How long was the line to get the tickets?

I was hoping to have 1 adult get in the check in line while another adult gets in the show tix line. If everyone needs to be present for both, why not just have more people at the check in desk and take care of both at the same time?

I was wondering the same thing! Isn't 'efficiency' one of Disney's core values!? This doesn't seem very efficient?

Sounds like it was more the crowds and heat that made it not that great.

Disney made daily adjustments for the SWW premium events and I'm sure they will do the same for Frozen.

This Frozen event is unprecedented in all of DisneyParks' history. Developed and rolled out in the least amount of time (12 days) ever. They'll be tweaking as it rolls along.

I haven't read the whole thread, so forgive me if this has been answered already. How do you get a pass for a later Sing along show? Thanks.

In my opinion, no, not really. I know how to get around and avoid as much as possible, and we did three headliner rides in the five hours we were there as well.

It's just that the parade was maybe 7-10 minutes and that's being extremely generous in timing. The Oaken thing was fake Christmas trees with fake snow on top. The Singalong stage hardly seemed any different from when I was at the Christmas improv laugh show they ran in the same stage. I could go on...

Eh, maybe I'm just Disney-ed out at this point. We have been here for 10 nights now due to canceled flights and then we lost our baggage but got it back after 2 days. Sorry for the not flowing review, I've just seen Disney do better.

Stop by the Premiere Theater where CMs are handing them out. You may have to go closer to the show time you want... a PP said she waited to get one for the next show as in not the one that was set to load.

Thanks for the review. 2 hrs! Yikes.

In line for sing-a-long tickets and they are saying they just ran out of 5:00 tickets. You must have I your whole party in line to get tickets.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I like this event better than SWW. Yes, I said it.

One of the first things we did was head to the trading post. This was just before 9:30am. The queue was out to TSM. So we turned around. Found a nice scenery photopass area and the photographer had some kind of magic shot! Stopped and posed for it. Then headed to the Premium Package check-in area.

We were about the 20th in line. But still got a spot at the rope. I stood in line while dh and ds sat in the shade. They came over to me once we were near the check-in podium.

Someone in line had told me that there were 2 park opening shows today. One for EMH and one for official park opening. We missed these.

There are 2 podiums at check in. The 1st was to check in to the event. The 2nd was to pick your time for the sing-along.

There was 1 icecream cart and drink cart set up together with 2 cm working it. Frozen Lemonade, Frozen Strawberry Lemonade and Mickey Premium bars were the snack choices. Drinks were coke products in bottles or Dasani water.

While we were waiting for the parade, cm told us the parade was going to proceed down to Star Tours. I asked if even Anna and Elsa would go that way after the Welcome, and was told yes.

The parade was amazing. The costuming, theming, etc. rivaled FoF, imho!

For those who were at Darth's Mall. I haven't been to the trading post yet, but I was told that there is outdoor waiting to get in only. There is no indoor queue like there was for Darth's Mall. Instead, the indoor queue is not the shopping area and the mall part is now the area with the skating, play area, and photo area. The photo area uses the aurasma App just like it did for SWW.

At the parade we were told the area to enter the sing-along was at the side of the Premiere Theater. We thought maybe it would be the FP+ area that was used for SWW. It is not. It is the entrance the kids who were in Visit to the Maul used. It's on the side of the building closer to the San Francisco back drop.

Big Improvement upon SWW, there were umbrellas lining the San Francisco Street! When we arrived for the package sing-along, they were calling the line the VIP queue. The first row was reserved for w/c seating. So the people who lined up first, did not get front row seats, but 2nd row. The back row of the front section was also reserved for w/c.

The lighting and special effects at the sing-along blew me away! I was very impressed! The whole show was very well done.
