Hi. I wrote to WDW and asked if I could add PH to an unused MYW base non-expire ticket. WDW called me and said as there are no longer any non-expire tickets in the system, they cannot alter old non-expire in any way--so so no adding extra days, no PH, and no WP&M. Thought I would pass this along for those considering grabbing some of the last UT non-expire tickets.

Thanks.

Now, we'll just have to wait and see what the next definitive response from Disney will be in this regard. ;)

"as there are no longer any non-expire tickets in the system"

That part is false.

There are lots of non-expiring tickets still "out there," some still on store shelves. Those not already in the system from having been used a little will enter the system upon first usage.

We'll have to wait until someone reports back in his trip report what happened when he tried to upgrade or modified his non-expiring ticket, including when arriving at a second theme park on a given day and being sent to a ticket booth because the non-hopping ticket was rejected at the entrance.

(Even when non-expiring tickets were still being sold, tickets used more than 13 days ago could no longer be upgraded.)

Disney has an incentive not to allow addition of more days or entitlements to non-expiring tickets. The more entitlements are on the ticket, statistically the longer it will take before everything gets used up and the ticket can then be removed from the system.

what the rep said was that when someone adds something, they are actually reissuing a ticket and that they no longer sell non-expire, so there is no pricing for reissuing a non-expire ticket. This was a call back vs. me just calling and getting a random agent, so I give it more credence. I was tempted to by non-expire base tickets, but only if I could add PH. I am not willing to risk it, given the feedback from WDW. Maybe someone will report differently, but I really doubt it.

Exactly.

OP the issue is that the poeple writing back to you aren't actually the frontline CMs *at* the parks who are dealing with this. They don't actually know how it'll be handled there.

I would have expected this from the way they upgrade tickets. Never heard of anyone upgrading to a ticket that is not actually sold anymore in the past. I frankly would have been surprised if they did allow this.
