Those of you with DDE check your email. The brochure for the special events just showed up in mine.

I attempted to copy it here, but it's a PDF file and that just isn't working for me so...

A few highlights.

Party for the Senses appears to be every Sat night, it's gone up $125

The Food Network Conversations are not showing who you get... If I knew I might try for one, but..

If you post questions I will come back later and try to respond. Hopefully someone with the full verison of Adobe can convert this and post it!

The price jumped $30 - wow - is it worth it? We were thinking about it but I am not sure.

I'm pretty tight with money, but I feel that Party for the Senses is worth it even at the new price.

Thanks SamSam - this will be our first Food and Wine Fest and we really want to try POS - but was hesitant when I saw the price increase. I've heard nothing but great reviews about it so maybe we will still try it :sunny:

This is my first time hearing of the price increase (Hey...I just realized...I have the DDE card, why do I not get these newsletters?)

DH is sitting here, watching a Clint eastwood werstern, and I told him, "Uh-oh, apparently PftS has increased in proce to $125."

I was thrilled to here him say, "So?" I aksed him.."You still feel it is worth it?" he said, "Oh yeah, no doubt!"

The thread does have discussion on the price increase - kinda like CRT - what are you going to do? It is an awesome event - as long as they continue to have the "moderate" wines as opposed to the "value" wines, it will be worth it!! I just wish they would've increased the time, or given us a bottle of wine or something for the extra $30!! BUT that's just me!! :)

Thanks for the link, eeyore!

Oooh, yeah, a bottle of wine! That would be good! I think my DH would like them to send the Cirque contortionist home with us! Haha. :teeth:

I do like how they let you keep those beautiful glasses. I used to use mine all the time until I BROKE IT and now DH won't share his...says I am too clumsy! :sad2:

I was thinking about doing the POC also this year and was hesitant even before the price increase. My husband dosen't drink. And lol I can't drink for two people's worth of wine so, is it still worth it if you factor out the wine?

I really don't drink wine (I will have one beer at the Sam Adams booth) and I love party of the senses. Just the experience and the food is worth the price.

This will be our first year at POS. I was disappointed by such a big price increase! BUT, we will still go. I wish they had a price for those of us who don't drink alcohol. I don't drink at all. DH will drink the beer. Not too big on wine. What to do? The reviews are awesome and I'll just have to eat extra desserts? :rotfl:
